After seeing the landlady off, Tan You lay down on Ji Li’s small bed, still fully clothed. She started calculating what she should do after returning to Ji Li’s hometown. Tan You replied, "I’ll keep them even if I can’t use them. What if they’re useful later? I’ve discovered that this beauty value thing can be a secret weapon if used correctly at certain times, though I personally don’t approve of getting by on looks alone."

"But the world is a practical place. Being good-looking certainly makes things smoother."

Tan You wasn’t that rigid. She understood the rules of society, and even if she wanted to change them, it wasn’t something she could accomplish right now.
