Chapter 1047: Chapter 1047: Darknight City

The last time he came to Darknight City was during his break-up with Scarlett Yates.

Upon arriving outside Darknight City, just as he got off the car, someone approached him eagerly to greet him.

Although Matthew Saxon doesn’t come here often nowadays, who in Darknight City doesn’t know him?

The second Young Master of the Saxon Family is an esteemed guest here; no matter when he comes, he must be treated with the utmost respect.

The one welcoming Matthew Saxon and Scarlett Yates was the manager here, in charge of all the matters in Darknight City, usually referred to respectfully as Brother Ward, but in front of Matthew Saxon, he must be very respectful.

"Young Master Saxon, you haven’t visited Darknight City for a long time. A few days ago, the big boss even asked about you, wondering if we’ve ever neglected you and made you upset, and he said if anyone ever offended you, he’d chop that person up and feed them to the dogs."

As he spoke, Ward secretly sized up Scarlett Yates.

This wasn’t Matthew Saxon’s first time bringing a woman to Darknight City; he would occasionally bring female companions before, but the women he brought in the past were not of this type.

Could this woman be the one rumored to be the ’lucky Cinderella’ recently?

If she is the woman Matthew Saxon intends to marry, then she will be the future Young Madam of the Saxon Family.

Thinking about this relationship, Ward didn’t dare to joke around casually like he used to.

In the past, everyone knew Matthew Saxon didn’t take his female companions seriously, changing them every few days, so no one really paid attention to those women.

Swapping partners was an ordinary occurrence.

If someone fancied another’s companion, a mere sentence would prompt an unblinking nod to give her away.

To these privileged young masters, women and objects were alike; purely from a value standpoint, women were even inferior to valuable items.

Finding Ward’s words amusing, Matthew Saxon let out a soft laugh, squinted his phoenix eyes, cast him a sideways glance, and grinned, "If someone here in Darknight City really offended me, would I still show up here, waiting for your boss to chop them up and feed them to the dogs?"

Ward chuckled, flatteringly saying, "Of course, if anyone dares to offend you, our Darknight City wouldn’t survive. With a casual word from you, you could wipe us all out, and chopping someone up and feeding them to the dogs would be considered mild."

Once inside the hall, it became rowdy, with music, laughter, and screams mixed together, causing people to feel unsettled.

The hall was full of men and women dancing, releasing the pressure accumulated during the day wantonly at night. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

Most of the faces on the dance floor wore vacant, bewildered expressions, the dazzling colorful lights shining on their pale faces, resembling ghosts.

Someone had overturned a wine bottle, the strong smell of alcohol floating in the air, mixed with some unpleasant odors, making the air thick and suffocating.

Scarlett Yates frowned; her first impression of this place was not good.

In the corridor, people came and went.

Matthew Saxon gripped Scarlett Yates’s hand tightly, pulling her half-body to lean against him.

Ward led the two inside, passing through a long corridor, and took the elevator to the fifth floor. After exiting the elevator, the surroundings were completely different from downstairs.

The hall was unbearably noisy, but the floor Ward brought them to was extremely quiet.
