Will the Aloof Billionaire Divorce Today?
Chapter 1051: You’re Jealous That I’m More Beautiful Than You
"You reckless brat, hitting on girls even around here. I think Old Master Simmons should’ve kept you locked up for a few more years. Maybe then you’d learn what you should and shouldn’t do. Don’t you understand that yet?"
With a stern face, Matthew Saxon pulled the man clutching onto Scarlett Yates like a koala bear off of her, dragged him to a corner, and swung a punch at him.
As the punch came down, Knox Simmons instinctively covered his face first.
Although Matthew’s punch ended up hitting his hand, it still hit his nose.
In the dim corner, Knox’s miserable screams immediately echoed: "Ah, help! This rich kid is bullying me! Is there no justice?"
Matthew’s second punch hit him on the chin.
Knox wailed once more: "Matthew, why do you keep hitting my face? You’re deliberately trying to ruin my looks. Don’t think I don’t know you’re jealous of my beauty! Jealous I look better than you, jealous I have more luck with women, jealous of my good relationship with Scarlett, you dark and twisted little man!"
"Very well, keep cursing. Today, I’ll give you a good lesson on behalf of Old Master Simmons!"
Knox’s screams were shrill and piercing: "Hit me, you treacherous scoundrel! Even if you beat me to death, I will never yield!"
Matthew sneered: "Fine, as you wish."
"Scarlett, for you, no matter how much I suffer or how many beatings I take, it’s worth it."
"Scarlett, I know you don’t really love him. You married him because he forced you."
"Scarlett, don’t worry, I’ll find a way to save you. When the time comes, we can be like star-crossed lovers. As long as we truly love each other, no one can stop us from being together."
"Scarlett... mmph..."
With a dark expression, Matthew yanked off his tie to gag Knox. He laughed angrily, "Second Simmons, a few months locked up and you’ve grown bolder, haven’t you? Choosing death over surrender, is that it?"
Gagged and unable to speak, Knox made muffled sounds, glaring at Matthew with his narrow, fierce Peach Blossom Eyes.
"Matthew, let it go. Knox has always been a bit immature. Why bother arguing with a kid?"
"Yeah, as if you don’t know this guy’s nature. He just mouths off to feel good; he’d never really dare to steal your girl."
"If he dared to steal a brother’s woman, not just you, even us brothers wouldn’t let him off."
Having seen enough of the spectacle, a few men sitting around spoke up to plead for Knox.
Among this group, Knox isn’t the youngest, but he’s the most childishly willful and acts the most spoiled. Of all the men, except for Knox and Matthew, the rest are only children with no close siblings, and they naturally consider Knox as a little brother.
Usually, this group coddles Knox openly and in secret, protecting him. How could they now just stand by?
"He’s been hit and yelled at enough, the lesson should suffice. Knox has thick skin; he can take a few more hits. But terrifying the sister-in-law, that wouldn’t be good."
"Look, you’ve scared the color right out of sister-in-law’s face. Doesn’t that bother you?"
