The young master of the Reed Clan Company is called Vincent Reed, Knox Simmons’ cousin is Allan Simmons, and the young master from the Lynn Family is Ferris Lynn.

These names all sounded familiar to Scarlett Yates. Back when she was at Saint Mercy University, she seemed to have heard Stella Nelson mention them.

Stella Nelson referred to this group as the renowned young masters of Z City.

These three are used to playing and can’t sit still. After sending Knox Simmons away and returning, they chatted for a bit before someone suggested going to play billiards.

Matthew Saxon didn’t agree right away; instead, he turned around to ask Scarlett Yates for her opinion.

While he was asking Scarlett Yates, the others gathered around and laughed. Scarlett vaguely heard words like "henpecked husband."

She thought if she could hear it, then Matthew Saxon must also be able to hear it.

However, being teased by his brothers as a "henpecked husband," Matthew Saxon didn’t seem to mind. He didn’t even frown, acting as if he hadn’t heard, and gently asked Scarlett Yates, "If you find it boring, we can leave now."

Scarlett Yates didn’t know how to play billiards, so she naturally found it boring, but she didn’t want to dampen everyone’s spirits.

Even though Matthew Saxon repeatedly emphasized that if she wanted to leave, he would take her, Scarlett Yates couldn’t really follow her own whims.

Matthew Saxon bringing her to meet his friends was his way of hoping she could fully integrate into his social circle.

Since she’s going to marry Matthew Saxon, she has to gradually get used to his lifestyle.

After thinking about it, she said, "I may not know how to play billiards, but I do enjoy watching others play."

Matthew Saxon smiled, smoothing her messy hair on her forehead, "So would you like to learn?"

Scarlett Yates nodded, "I do want to learn, but I’m afraid I’ll be too clumsy and you’ll lose patience teaching me after a few tries."

Matthew Saxon then took her hand and stood up, raising an eyebrow with overwhelming confidence, "There’s no student I can’t teach. I’ll teach you to play in a bit; billiards is easy to learn, not hard at all."

Scarlett Yates initially only planned to be a spectator and watch them play, so she felt quite uninterested since she didn’t genuinely enjoy watching billiards.

Now that Matthew Saxon said he would teach her, her interest immediately piqued.
