Wizard: Stronger through Marriage
Chapter 982 - 446: Termination Ritual (Part 2)
He let out a cold laugh, swung his Magic Staff, and unleashed a surge of powerful Dark Energy straight at Liliana.
"Liliana, watch out!" David shouted, trying to use Magic to block the Master of Shadows’ attack.
But the Master of Shadows’ strike was too fast and too strong; David’s Magic only blocked part of it, and the rest still slammed viciously into Liliana.
Liliana grunted, her body blasted into the air and smashed heavily against the cave wall.
She spat blood, her face turning pale; she was clearly badly hurt.
"Liliana!" David roared. He rushed forward and quickly helped Liliana up.
"I’m fine..." Liliana said with difficulty. She struggled to stand, but her body went limp and collapsed.
"Stop talking and save your Physical Strength!" David said anxiously. He hurriedly pulled out a bottle of Healing Potion from his Storage Ring and fed it to Liliana.
However, just then, the Dark Hand lunged at them again.
This time it had no scruples at all—faster, stronger, deadlier.
"Damn it!" David cursed. He quickly shielded Liliana behind him, then unleashed his strongest Magic attack and blasted it at the Dark Hand.
Yet even David’s strongest strike still couldn’t stop the advance of the Dark Hand.
It slammed viciously into David’s Defense Magic, erupting with a deafening boom.
The Defense Magic shattered instantly under the Dark Hand’s assault, and David was flung away by the massive impact, crashing hard to the ground.
"David!" Liliana cried out. She struggled to get up, but her body wouldn’t move.
At that moment, the other squad members realized just how dire things had become.
They all activated their Skills and equipment, launching attacks at the Master of Shadows and the Dark Hand.
Yili quickly activated a Spatial Trap and Teleportation Gate, trying to confine the Master of Shadows and the Dark Hand within.
But the Master of Shadows possessed overwhelming Spatial Ability; he easily broke through Yili’s Spatial Trap and Teleportation Gate and appeared before them again.
Qiuya then cast a Life Barrier, wrapping the squad in its protection to withstand the attacks of the Master of Shadows and the Dark Hand.
However, cracks began to spread across the Life Barrier under the Dark Hand’s bombardment; it looked like it could shatter at any moment.
Liya swung his Longsword, engaging the Abyss Lord and the minions of the Abyssal Hell in brutal close combat.
Relying on his powerful melee prowess and tenacious will, he managed to hold back the enemy’s advance, buying precious time for the others.
Even so, the squad members were still in extreme danger.
The power of the Master of Shadows and the Dark Hand was simply overwhelming; it looked like they could be completely crushed at any moment.
"We can’t just sit here and wait to die!" David yelled, struggling to push himself up from the ground. "We have to join forces and fight them together!"
With that, he once again unleashed Magic, blasting attacks at the Master of Shadows and the Dark Hand.
The other squad members responded to his call one after another, using their Skills and equipment to launch a fierce offensive against the enemy.
Under everyone’s combined assault, the Master of Shadows and the Dark Hand finally began to show signs of strain.
Their attacks were no longer as ferocious or frequent as before; instead, they were gradually forced into a defensive position under the squad’s barrage.
Seeing this, a surge of hope rose in David’s chest.
He knew that as long as they could hold out, they would definitely be able to defeat these enemies and stop the formation of the "Eternal Night Rift."
So he pushed even harder, pouring out his Magic attacks, relentlessly bombarding the Master of Shadows and the Dark Hand.
The other squad members were no less fierce; they unleashed their trump cards one after another, throwing themselves into a desperate battle with the enemy.
After a fierce clash, the squad finally began to gain the upper hand.
They kept hammering the Master of Shadows and the Dark Hand, driving them back again and again.
In the end, under one particularly violent strike, the Master of Shadows and the Dark Hand could no longer withstand the massive impact and collapsed heavily to the ground.
In the brutal battle, David, Liliana, and the squad managed to repel the Master of Shadows and his minions, but their fight was far from over.
As he retreated, the Master of Shadows left behind a mysterious clue, pointing them toward a more hidden location—the Shadow Altar.
The Shadow Altar lay in the deepest reaches of the Abyss Seventh Prison, shrouded in dense Dark Power; even Yili’s precise Spatial Ability was heavily disrupted here.
The squad advanced cautiously, constantly on guard against the dangers lurking around them.
When they finally reached the Shadow Altar, the sight before them left them utterly stunned.
On the altar rested a Divine Remains Crystal that glowed with an eerie light, surrounded by several figures in black robes who were conducting some kind of wicked ritual.
"Looks like we’ve found the core of the Shadow Devouring Race remnants colluding with the Abyssal Hell." David said grimly, his eyes filled with resolve and wariness.
Liliana nodded, gripping her Magic Staff, ready to strike at any time. "We have to stop them. We can’t let them succeed."
The squad moved quickly; Yili used her Spatial Ability to try to disrupt the ritual of the black-robed figures, while Qiuya raised a Life Barrier to protect the team from the invasion of Dark Power.
Liya charged in with his Longsword, rushing the crowd of black robes, attempting to take them down in close combat.
However, just as they were about to launch their assault, a low, imperious voice suddenly echoed above the altar.
"Hmph, a bunch of overconfident fools, daring to disturb our ritual."
As the voice fell, a High-tier Mage in a black robe, wearing a bizarre mask, slowly stepped out from behind the altar.
His eyes glinted with a chilling light, as if they could see straight into the deepest fears and despair in a person’s heart.
"Shadow Curse!" Liliana cried out involuntarily. She recognized the High-tier Mage—he was a notorious Shadow Series master from the Council, adept at manipulating Dark Power and Curses.
Shadow Curse sneered and waved the Magic Staff in his hand; instantly, a torrent of powerful Dark Power surged out from the altar, crashing toward the squad.
This force was terrifyingly strong; even Qiuya’s Life Barrier trembled on the verge of collapse under the impact.
"Careful!" David shouted. He quickly cast Defense Magic, trying to block the oncoming Dark Power.
But the force was simply too great; his Defense Magic held for only a moment before it was shattered.
The squad members were all struck by the wave of Dark Power and were forced back several steps.
They all knew Shadow Curse’s strength was no joke; they had to go all out if they wanted any chance of standing against him.
"We can’t let him keep this up—we have to stop him!" David growled through clenched teeth as he gathered his Magic Power again, preparing to attack.
Liliana nodded. She stood shoulder to shoulder with David, facing Shadow Curse together. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
The other squad members also unleashed their Skills and equipment, assisting David and Liliana in battling Shadow Curse and the black-robed figures around him.
However, Shadow Curse seemed to wield inexhaustible strength; he kept swinging his Magic Staff, firing off blast after blast of powerful Dark Magic.
The squad fought with everything they had, but they still struggled to keep up.
At that moment, Yili suddenly thought of a plan. She quickly activated a Spatial Trap, trying to imprison Shadow Curse within.
But Shadow Curse seemed to have anticipated her move; he slipped past the Spatial Trap’s range with ease.
"Hmph, petty tricks." Shadow Curse sneered again. He swung his Magic Staff once more, unleashing an even more powerful Dark Magic attack.
This time, his target was Yili.
Yili’s face changed drastically. She hastily used Space Transfer Magic, trying to dodge Shadow Curse’s strike.
But his attack was too fast; she only managed to avoid part of it, and the remaining force still slammed brutally into her body.
