World-Ending Demon Emperor

It was not Fu Lingxi who came in, but Huai Bingyi.

He stared coldly at the maid who was hitting, silent, yet imposed no punishment.

"Go and fetch fresh food," Huai Bingyi said.

"Yes." The two maids fled as if pardoned.

After walking away, the maid who had been hitting said, "Did you see? Lord Huai Bingyi didn’t say a word, let alone punish. So this mother and son are just lowly prisoners; it’s fine to scold and beat them. Next time, I’ll hit again to vent this anger in my heart."

The other maid, still apprehensive, followed with a chuckle, hesitated slightly, and said, "Fu Yan’er, this woman, is both flirtatious and cheap. Do you think she has a fling with Lord Huai Bingyi?"

"Come on." The hitting maid said, "Though she’s quite beautiful and flirtatious, she’s already the mother of two children. Would Lord Huai Bingyi be interested in her?"

Seeing Huai Bingyi come in, Fu Yan’er quickly put on a flattering smile, stepped forward, and greeted, "Has your lordship arrived? Those days without seeing you, Zilin was thinking of you every day."

Then, she nudged her son Fu Zilin and said, "Quick, quickly bow and salute your teacher."

Fu Zilin said, "Does the teacher know my father?"

Fu Zilin said, "If that’s the case, then why does the Dragon Temple regard him as an enemy, even wanting to eliminate him?"

"No." Huai Bingyi said, "Zilin, you must understand one thing. The Dragon Temple never regarded him as an enemy, but would rather see him as a leader of the Human Kingdom, even as a leader of the Dragon Temple. "Yes, teacher!" Fu Zilin said, "I will strive for the future of humanity, for the justice of the Dragon."

Huai Bingyi said, "Good, good, good disciple, you are the pride of the teacher."
