World-saving Plan: The Only Savior
Chapter 1736 - 35: Shadow Demon King (10)
"Jiu Jiu!"
Seeing Jiu Jiu being slapped away, Lin Sisi panicked for a moment and was about to rush out.
Pei Lingsu quickly held her back and pointed in the direction where the little creature fell.
"Sisi! Don’t be hasty! Look!"
As her words fell, everyone followed her gaze to the ground, and then their expressions froze, pupils contracted.
"What, what is that thing...?"
Nai Wenmo’er was also stunned.
He had originally planned to bypass the giant snail ahead and devour others in this world to restore his strength, so that he could easily trap that Holy Angel in endless rebirth.
And this, from here, this city would be right.
However, just as he was about to make a move, an inexplicable unease arose in his heart, a kind of instinct towards crisis, as if some terrifying thing was targeting him.
"Could it be that the Holy Angel has been reborn? Impossible..." 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
A trace of doubt flashed in Nai Wenmo’er’s mind at this moment, but he immediately dismissed it. He was confident in his attack; from the opponent’s performance, it shouldn’t have been reborn so soon.
Then, just as these thoughts flashed through his mind, a gigantic white figure suddenly pounced, pinning him to the ground instantly, tearing at his body crazily.
"Roar!"
Nai Wenmo’er, shocked and furious, couldn’t help but let out a roar.
Though the sudden attacking white beast was only doing basic biting, each bite caused him immense pain, a soul-tearing agony, scattering large sections of black mist from his body.
Shadow Nova!
Nai Wenmo’er shouted angrily as a majestic dark aura burst from his body, instantly forcing the beast pressing on him to retreat.
"Damned insect, how dare you..."
It was only at this point that Nai Wenmo’er finally caught his breath and saw clearly the giant beast that had ambushed him.
It was a gigantic white fox, about his height, covered in blue flames all over, with nine colossal tails swaying at its back.
"Whimper!"
The white fox let out a cry like a baby’s wail, assuming a ready-to-attack stance.
Seeing this, it wasn’t only the spectators below who were dumbfounded, even Nai Wenmo’er, the transcendent Shadow Demon King, was similarly taken aback.
He stared blankly at the massive creature in front of him, incredulous at his own senses.
Though he had never seen this creature with his own eyes, certain memories from his inheritance informed him of the entity’s identity, which was partly why he was bewildered now.
"Star Spirit!? How could it be a Star Spirit... weren’t the Star Spirits already... no, that can’t be! This must be fake! How could there still be Star Spirits here!!?"
Nai Wenmo’er went into a frenzy, feeling his worldview was about to shatter.
Today’s encounters were baffling him greatly.
His transformation was interrupted, the Holy Angel long extinguished by Demon Lord reappeared, then he was heavily beaten by a Holy Angel lower in realm, barely securing some time only to have his Divine Domain nonsensically blocked by a bizarre snail, delaying him heavily.
Now, having finally freed from all these, prepared to do what a Demon King should, he stumbled upon a supposedly extinct race, the Star Spirit Clan.
For a moment, Nai Wenmo’er even questioned in his heart whether his Demon Lord could be somewhat unreliable, what happened to the extinct race, what happened to the universe’s Supreme Invincible, how come these guys keep popping up, how’s this fun for me?
Of course, this thought was just fleeting, Nai Wenmo’er wouldn’t truly dare question his Dominator, he knew the consequences would be dire.
However, he was truly frustrated, while he never had contact with Star Spirits, he understood they were unlike Holy Angels, being powerful and not easily bullied.
The Star Spirit Clan numbered very few, but each was formidable, making them feared by Demon Lord and eradicated prematurely, indicating the immense talent of the race.
Looking at the giant fox readying for attack, Nai Wenmo’er felt a bit depressed.
If only he had known the little one was a Star Spirit earlier, he might have restrained himself a bit, at least not to provoke rashly, things might have had a turning point.
Among all present, apart from Nai Wenmo’er, there was someone else utterly surprised and incredulous at Jiu Jiu revealing its true form.
That person was Ziwei.
Ziwei stared outside, hair standing on end, as if greatly shocked.
"Star... Star Spirit... Star Spirit..."
She murmured something indistinct, her face full of shock and bewilderment.
As the captain of the Star Spirit Council’s Shadow Sentinel, how could Ziwei not recognize a Star Spirit, although Jiu Jiu maintained its little fox form and escaped her recognition initially, upon Jiu Jiu unveiling its true form, Ziwei instantly identified it as the Star Spirit annihilated thousands of years ago by the Dark Star Alliance!
