100X Return System: My Talent Awakening Becomes a God-Level Cheat
Chapter 67: Forgotten City: The Shore [7]
Even though this wasn’t a mission, Aegon still felt the need to end it, like it was.
He already had enough and was ready to clear everything and continue his main mission.
With this in mind, Aegon was looking at the mages in the air and they also were looking at him. They saw the cold expression on his face and knew this human was serious.
They also knew what was going to come out from the way he was standing, his expression, and the amount of mana that was emitting from his body.
He placed his head down and began walking to where the cat-like monster was standing. At this very moment, the cat-like monster wasn’t standing alone, the others had come to join it.
A monster with the head of a shark and body of a horse was at its left and a wolf with a turtle back, at its right.
They all stood, standing three hundred feet, the others at their back, towering over this human who was nothing but an ant to them.
With a single step from any of their legs, they could easily crush him into meat, yet they didn’t move.
At this very moment, the monster mages had already moved to the back of the monster, hiding and protecting themselves from Aegon.
They were using the monsters as shields by placing them before him, yet none of them made any move. It was if they couldn’t but because they didn’t want to.
This was because of the aura that Aegon was emitting, it was so dark and full of bloodlust that it sent cold chills down the monster’s spines.
A mere human, standing in front of monsters as tall as a thirty story building, a height difference of zero to a thousand, and yet they couldn’t move.
They felt fear. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
However, because they felt fear doesn’t mean they were going to escape. Even if they wanted to, they couldn’t; this was because of the mages monster.
The mages monster, seeing that the monsters were not moving on their own accord even though their mission was clearly audible; decided to take more actions.
The five of them waved their staves and in that very moment the eyes of all the monsters turned from red into yellow; and then they began to move forward.
The monsters were alive, in the flesh and had their heart intact in their bodies, but their souls have been bonded and taken over by the monster mages.
They were puppets to the mages and had to do their every bidding; and one of those was to kill the human who treated the lives of the mages.
At this very moment, as the monsters were walking, every step, creating a stomp on the ground, the monster who had the head of a shark and the body of a horse suddenly sprinted; running faster than the others towards Aegon.
The monster mages had seen that Aegon didn’t have his dagger again and had assumed he would be unable to fight.
However, as the horse with a shark head monster was in a close distance to Aegon; who was still walking towards them; the monster made the sound of a horse;
Neigh!
Lifting both its front legs up to step on Aegon. It towering height blocking the moon from reaching him,
Aegon, seeing this in that second, before the legs came down; simply raised his right hand, pointing out only his index and middle finger.
At the tip of both fingers, a purple-black, mixed with a bit of red shown bright, in the form of a ball of mana appeared; facing the stomach of the monster.
The horse-shark monster saw the light illuminating the area from below, its eyes widened in both shock and fear.
At this very second its legs were still in the air and were about to come down, but the monster didn’t want them to land.
It wanted to fly, as it felt the aura emitting from the light, and the single word attached to it.
Death.
In the next second, the light dimmed and the monster legs; which it couldn’t use to fly as it had wished, came down.
And just then, the light appeared again, fired in a straight line directly under the body of the monster.
’Cannon Spatial Blast; Hollow!’
The blast formed into a huge swirling ball of purple-black space with a bright red center that pulls in everything like a vacuum.
The horse-shark monster’s eyes were filled with tears as it saw the blast fired. The cannon blast pierced through it, breaking and sucking its entire body into the void of space, leaving nothing behind.
The blast created a massive wave of power that shatters the ground and shreds the air into a storm of dust and flying sands.
The glowing force did not just hit the monster; it swallowed it whole, turning the monster and the other monsters which were running towards Aegon, but got caught up in the blast; into tiny bits.
As the purple-black energy spins faster, it grinds up sands and blocks of the city wall, pulling them up into the bright light until they disappear.
The impact was so strong that it left a giant hole where all the monsters once stood, erasing them completely from existence.
The force of the blast after consuming everything in sight suddenly reduced into a small size and dissipated, leaving just particles of dust behind.
"-"
Aegon’s expression was folded as ice as he looked at the destruction that his skill had made. Then, all of a sudden, his gaze shifted to where a movement had been made.
"..."
It was the monster mages, but instead of five there were only two of them. One was on the ground holding its staff and crawling into the city while the second one was trying to float; lifting itself, but dropped down on the ground.
These actions were continuous and Aegon saw the hopelessness in their actions as it wasn’t going to take them anywhere.
"Hmph... still struggling to live I see."
His lips curved up as he said these words, and then began to walk towards the mage monsters.
At the moment, the one who wanted to float suddenly got back its ability to but not very accurately.
They both were caught in the blast with the other, and although they had used the monster’s protection they still took a lot of damage.
The mage on the ground, crawling, had already reached where the city wall once stood, and because the wall wasn’t there any longer, it made its way through.
However, a shadowy figure loomed over it, blocking the blood moon from reaching it.
The monster turned its head and saw the piercing gaze of the human standing behind it.
It felt a fear and immediately faced it front, stretching out its hand trying to call out the other mage.
But that mage had already flown to a far distance and wasn’t planning on turning back.
Aegon, seeing this, suddenly knew where it was heading.
"Going to report a message, I see." He looked down into the other mage, "Too bad, you were left behind."
The monster looked at Aegon as he said this, although its face was hidden within its hoodie, it had the position of one who was in fear.
Seeing that the monster was nearing its death, Aegon raised his hand to end it.
And seeing this, the monster turned its head away, bracing its fate. However, after a moment of nothing happening it raised its head.
As it did this, it saw Aegon running, and chasing the other mage.
