100X Return System: My Talent Awakening Becomes a God-Level Cheat
Chapter 98: Tear of Joy
At the front of a large square building that has a long width and highest, stood an individual.
At the top most of the building, there was a writing that says Xemburg Central Hospital.
This individual looked up at the building reading the words that were written on it. They made no reaction, but quickly brought their face down because of the sun hitting their face.
This individual was wearing a black face cap on their head, a black leather jacket zipped through the top.
They wore fine clean black trousers with white stripes at the side of the trousers, and on their feet they wore a white sneakers.
The individual had their hands tucked into the pocket of the leather jacket, their gaze at the front door of the hospital.
In their head, they felt like the hospital looked familiar, but the building from their memory and this current building was completely different.
After looking for a while, they went inside the hospital.
At the entrance, after the door, on the left side a couple steps away from the door, there was a lady behind a counter seated and typing a computer when all of a sudden this individual pulled up on her.
"Good day!" The individual said, their voice thick but calm.
The lady behind the counter raised her head up, looking at the man in front of her she uttered, "How can I help you?"
Her voice was calm also. It was as if there was no stress in them. She has a straight expression not smiling but neutral, yet it felt respected.
"I am here to see a patient? You see I was called to come and get up on them..."
The lady looks puzzled for a moment. Her eyes straight into the man before her eyes. She couldn’t find any expression on his face but suddenly dismissed the thought, then replied.
"Okay.... Do you have the patient number? The four digit that was given to you when the hospital called?"
"Yes, of course. I have it." The man brought out a cell phone from his jacket pocket, opened it and began scrolling on it.
"The number is XXXX." He called and while he was saying it the lady was typing it on the computer.
The lady pressed the enter key and uttered, "Okay, got it! Um... Maureen Zoldyck. She was dropped off by a person named... Come? Sorry Chrome. Are you family?"
"Yes I am. Well not to the Chrome person but to the patient!"
"Yes, of course, that was what I was asking for. So if you are family then..." the lady leaked her head towards the monitor of the computer , her eyes squinted while trying to read what was written there. "You are... Ag... Aegon Zoldyck! You are here siblings?"
"Yes." Aegon responded, "She’s my elder sister."
The lips of the lays curved into a slight smile as she leaned away from the computer.
"You too much get along well, isn’t that right?" The lady was looking at Aegon with a smile when asking this question, but he had an expressionless face and tried only to smile a bit but it didn’t come.
Upon seeing there was no reaction from the man before her, the lady dropped her smile, stretching her right hand with a card on it, she uttered.
"Your sister is in room 209. If you take the elevator to the second floor on your left, that’s the way."
Aegon collected the card from her and took a look at it.
The card was a key card to the door of her room, a very secure way to keep a patient. The only people who would access the room were the doctor, nurses and family of the patient.
Without a key card they can’t be popped from the outside, but from the inside the patient is able to open it if they are awake, without a key card.
"Thank you." Aegon appreciated the lady after inspecting the card and left the counter walking down to the elevator.
Meanwhile, the lady stood up, putting her head above the counter and looking at him as he walked away.
Just then, another lady walked to the counter and entered behind through a small gateway, then she uttered.
"Urgh... how can a handsome man like that have little words? Didn’t he see a beauty that is ready to be flirted with?"
The other lady that had to Aegon pulled back after he had entered the elevator and the doors were shut.
Then she turned to the new lady and replied with a scolding expression, "His sister is in a critical state right now, do you think that’s the thing that would be in his mind? It’s probably the last thing he’s thinking about right now."
The new kady responded, "Maybe true. But you can’t deny he’s handsome right?"
"Of course not. What do you take me for? Do you think I’m blind? Even with the face cap covering his face, I could still see his handsomeness... Tch, too bad he’s in a soar mood."
"_"
The elevator opens and Aegon steps out. He was the only one inside so he had no problem coming out.
He stood at the front of the elevator while it closed, then turned to his right and started walking.
But, he didn’t take more steps away from the elevator when he realized that he was going the wrong way.
So, knowing this, he turned around and moved to his supposed left after he came out of the elevator.
Aegon walked down the hallway of this part of the hospital, his eyes on every single door he passed.
The doors had a see through class which a person could use to see whoever was inside the room.
"203, 205..."
The number of the doors were written differently. On the right side were the even numbers while on the left were the odd numbers. All written form then lowest to the highest.
"209."
Aegon stopped at the room number that had a tag attached to it with the number 209. He walked closer to it, and from the see through glass, he was able to see the patient inside.
"Maureen...."
Her name left his lips while he was looking at her from the glass.
Inside the room, his sister was lying down on the bed, her eyes closed in a deep sleep.
For some reason, he didn’t open the door, a tear dropped down his eyes, his face as though he was about to cry.
A nurse walked up to Aegon, seeing the way he was just standing at the front of the door and asked, "Excuse me, is everything alright? Do you have the key to the room?"
"Uh, yes everything is alright, I have the key."
Aegon showed the nurse the key card, so she nodded and said. "Go in then!"
"Oh right, I will." Aegon placed the key card at the designed area for it, and the light there changed from red to green.
He opened the door, the light breeze bathing his face while he entered.
