"No worries, the Yin family’s businesses are all abroad, there’s nowhere to raid." Xu Mumu wasn’t concerned. If her mother really changed to speaking one way to people and another way to ghosts, she wouldn’t be able to adapt. Her mother being like this was quite fine, she was used to it anyway.

Xu Hai and Li Caixia were silent for two seconds, their gazes turned significantly deeper.

"So, what exactly does the Yin family do in their business?" Xu Minghui asked with curiosity.

Xu Mumu briefly explained the Yin family’s ventures, once again leaving the family dumbfounded.

"Daughter, you’ve snagged a wealthy guy, haven’t you?" Li Caixia gazed at Xu Mumu intently.

"Just giving you a heads-up so you won’t be overly surprised. Tomorrow, Yin Yang and Sir Song will likely come over to discuss the wedding details." Xu Mumu shared this information with Li Caixia.

She had already mentioned this over the phone with them before, planning to marry Yin Yang in the Imperial City and then return to her hometown for a village banquet during the summer vacation.

Xu Hai and Li Caixia: "..." It’s tough to keep a grown daughter from leaving early, even though she was already at marriageable age.

"So urgent?" Xu Minghui glanced helplessly at his sister.

"Urgent, yeah! It’s hard to encounter a rich catch, of course, I need to scoop him into my bowl quickly." Xu Mumu replied with a smug smile.

"Mumu is right, it’s best to marry early." Li Caixia couldn’t ignore the term ’wealthy guy.’ The Yin family had too much money; her daughter was right, it was best to hold onto him soon.

By the evening, Yin Yang arrived with Professor Song and Professor Jian, inviting the Old Xu Family members out for dinner.

Yin Yang chose a private restaurant, which had been in business for some time, though hidden. It remained discreet, serving only familiar people.

Xu Mumu and Yin Yang were familiar faces here, so they were escorted straight to a room upon arrival.

"This is where we eat? I thought we were going to a state-run restaurant." Li Caixia curiously looked around, finding the room tastefully decorated. She couldn’t quite describe it, but it felt better than her room at home.

"Yes, there are plenty of delicious dishes here. Mom, eat more later." Xu Mumu laughed and said, Yin Yang had ordered quite a few dishes, definitely enough to fill them.

"No worries, I haven’t eaten anything this afternoon, saving my stomach." Li Caixia said happily, hugging the little guy to keep him from moving around. Missing her son who she hadn’t seen for over two months.

The food came shortly, looking and smelling delectable, capturing Li Caixia and the others’ attention.

"Uncle, Auntie, let me serve you some rice." Yin Yang offered with a smile to Xu Hai and Li Caixia.

With Yin Yang enlivening the atmosphere and the food tasting exceptionally good, Li Caixia and the others were very satisfied.

After half an hour of eating, Xu Mumu felt stuffed, as did Li Caixia and Xu Hai, who ate particularly much.

Back in their hometown, no food tasted this good; the state-owned restaurant’s food was alright, but repetitive and not as appetizing.

Walking back, the little guy loved being taken out. He reached out to touch whatever he liked, regardless of whether it was appropriate or not. Like he had ADHD, Xu Mumu didn’t enjoy taking him out.

Returning to the courtyard, Professor Jian pushed Professor Song back to the small house first, while Yin Yang stayed behind, intending to talk with Xu Mumu a bit more before leaving.

"Mumu, did you miss me?" The two sat under the big banyan tree in the backyard, Yin Yang asked softly.

"Of course I did, what about you?" Xu Mumu looked expectantly at Yin Yang.

"Same here, I want to marry you quickly." Yin Yang said earnestly.

"Then you better perform well tomorrow, win over my parents in one go." Xu Mumu teased, though truthfully Yin Yang didn’t need to exert effort to win her mother’s approval, her mother would agree to their marriage at once.

"No problem, I’ll do whatever it takes to marry you." Yin Yang replied with determination.

"You say that sweetly." Xu Mumu gave Yin Yang a sidelong glance.

"Oh, did anything happen while you were abroad?" Xu Mumu asked, since she hadn’t had the chance in the afternoon when Yin Yang was resting. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

"Nope, I’m all good. Who would dare mess with me?" Yin Yang chuckled, now with Yin Xu sorted out, the previously unruly ones were behaving, knowing they couldn’t compete and didn’t dare reach for more of Yin family’s business.

"Glad there’s nothing." Xu Mumu nodded, not sensing any trace of bloodiness around Yin Yang, she trusted his words.

"Those businesses can’t be transferred back quickly; it’ll take a couple of years. However, there’s opportunity to develop new markets here." Yin Yang discussed the family’s businesses with Xu Mumu.

There’s a mine back home, the mountain under his name; even extracting a little from it would be adequate.

"Sounds good! You handle it yourself; I don’t understand the intricacies. It’s not my area of expertise." Xu Mumu spoke indifferently, knowing Yin Yang’s capability to start anew was unquestionable. Besides, with no shortage of money, resources, or connections, if he didn’t succeed, then better not bother trying.

"You’ll be the head of our family one day, I’ll keep you informed even if you don’t fully grasp it." Yin Yang maintained his smile.

"Such sweet talk." Xu Mumu blushed, thinking any girl would succumb to such charm. If not her, then who; she’d be the one to take on this enchanting guy.

"If you like, I’ll say it to you every day." Yin Yang’s eyes lit up, having learned a lot from his subordinates recently.

"Smooth talker." Xu Mumu pouted, carved up by that pair of captivating eyes, feeling her heart almost thrumming out of her chest.

The two chatted for a long while in the backyard until Li Caixia called her for a bath, and then only did Yin Yang reluctantly leave.

Once Xu Mumu had bathed and returned to her room, Li Caixia was sitting on her bed.

"Mom, not sleeping yet?" Xu Mumu was puzzled; did her mom want to talk?

"Nope, it’s still early, let’s chat." Li Caixia said seriously.

"Sure, Mom, go ahead." Rarely seeing her mother so serious, Xu Mumu became earnest too.

"I’ll just ask directly; you’re of age now. You and Yin Yang haven’t done anything rash, have you?" Li Caixia stared straight at Xu Mumu.

"Cough, cough!!" Xu Mumu, in the middle of taking a sip from her cup, was caught off guard. Her face flushed, her mom’s question was indeed direct.
