Chapter 462: Drama Queen Kid

"Bear with it for a bit," Yin Yang said helplessly. There was truly nothing he could do about it; he could only endure it and hope those who didn’t care about hygiene might leave the train soon.

Xu Mumu nodded, but shortly afterward, someone sprayed perfume in the aisle.

How should I put it? Xu Mumu felt the smell was even worse now. Two smells mixed together, making it more unbearable. The perfume was quite pungent, yet it couldn’t overpower the odor on this side; they just mixed together.

Even Yin Yang frowned; the scent was truly hard to accept.

This smell lingered the entire morning, but it finally began to dissipate. At the next station, a group of people disembarked, including the person responsible for the odor, making Xu Mumu feel slightly more comfortable.

"Have some water." Yin Yang brought some hot water over, the cup now cool enough, and handed it to Xu Mumu.

Xu Mumu drank some of the water, leaving the rest for Yin Yang.

Watching the pair, the couple across from them was extremely envious. The girl pinched her boyfriend’s waist, prompting him to go fetch water too.

Xu Mumu didn’t pay attention to what others were doing. She drank some water, ate a bit of dry food, and felt much better.

With the annoying smell gone, Xu Mumu took out the book she had brought along and started reading.

Aside from being a bit noisy, there was nothing else to distract her from reading on the train.

Madam Chen and the others had been eagerly awaiting the news of Xu Mumu’s return. The neighboring house had already been tidied up, all clean and spotless. Today, as the train arrived, they rushed over to the station early to wait.

When Xu Mumu and the others arrived, they saw Madam Chen and the others. The little brother was being held by her, with both Xu Minglei and Xu Minghui there as well.

"Why did you bring so little stuff? I was planning to have your brothers fetch things for you," Madam Chen said, seeing the belongings that amounted to just one suitcase, feeling a bit at a loss.

"The essentials are already at home. We just brought some clothes for swapping," Xu Mumu said with a cheerful smile.

"Well, that’s true. Let’s go, let’s go. Quickly get back home, the sun is strong here, your skin is delicate, you might get sunburned," Madam Chen said with a smile.

"Sis," Little Xu Mingfeng looked at his sister. He remembered her mainly because there were many photos of her at home, and his parents and grandparents often talked about her.

"Fengfeng is such a good boy. Have you been listening to grandpa and grandma at home?" Xu Mumu picked up her little brother. The little guy was now robust and weighed significantly more.

"Yes," the little fellow proudly puffed up his chest, feeling comfortable being in his sister’s arms, his hands wrapped around her neck. Even though he hadn’t seen her for a long time, he had a natural closeness to his sister.

"You haven’t called me yet," Yin Yang said with a smile as he pinched the little guy’s cheek, thinking about how much Xu Mumu liked her little brother, he started contemplating having a child.

With Xu Mumu planning to graduate early, they could also consider having a child sooner.

"Brother," the little guy tilted his head.

"Dummy, call me brother-in-law," Xu Minglei said, patting the little guy’s butt.

"Brother-in-law, sister, second brother is bad, he hit me," the little fellow obediently called, then immediately turned to his sister to complain.

"Did it hurt?" Xu Mumu said with a smile.

"It hurt," the little fellow looked at Xu Mumu eagerly, his watery eyes making it seem like it really hurt.

Seeing this, Xu Minglei lightly patted him. This little guy was such a drama king, even at a young age. It probably runs in the family, inherited from her father.

"Then we’ll hit the second brother," Xu Mumu said with a smile as she playfully slapped Xu Minglei’s hand.

"Wow, that really hurt," Xu Minglei cooperatively began to shout in pain.

Yin Yang: "..." This family is full of clowns.

Upon hearing his second brother cry out in pain, the little fellow clapped his hands happily.

"Hmph, next time I won’t take you to buy sweets," Xu Minglei said displeased while looking at his little brother. Aside from the grandparents, he took care of the little brother mostly. This little ungrateful one.

"Grandma will buy," the little guy said with his head held high, knowing who spoiled him the most.

If it weren’t for Xu Hai keeping an eye on him at home, this kid would have eaten even more snacks. If it weren’t for all the snacks, he wouldn’t be this chubby.

Xu Mumu’s mouth twitched a bit; this little guy was indeed pretty cunning.

After returning home, Yin Yang put their things in the house next door. Since they were already married, they would be living there permanently.

All the essentials were there, either prepared by Madam Chen and the others or supplied by Zhou Yunhong, who even installed a telephone for convenient communication with Imperial City, to keep tabs on the company and facilitate remote control.

"Wow, things are really well-prepared here. You’d never guess it hadn’t been inhabited before," Xu Mumu exclaimed, seeing everything in the house, feeling touched by the thorough preparations.

These preparations were quite handy since they planned to live here long-term.

"Is there anything you don’t like? I can have Yun Hong come and change it," Yin Yang said amiably.

"No need, it’s perfectly done, I’m very satisfied," Xu Mumu replied with a smile.

After they put their things down, Madam Chen had already boiled water next door for them, knowing that traveling by train for days was uncomfortable and wanting them to take a bath immediately.

Xu Mumu felt that Grandma was truly considerate, enjoying a comfortable bath, all the heaviness and greasiness finally washing away.

She also washed her hair, though without a hairdryer, her hair hung loose down her back, having grown a bit longer.

"Grandma, where are the scissors at home? I’d like to trim my hair," Xu Mumu asked, seeing her hair reached below her waist, requesting scissors from Madam Chen.

"Your hair is so black and shiny, it’d be a pity to cut it," Madam Chen said, mumbling but still handed the scissors to Xu Mumu.

"I’m not cutting much, just trimming the ends," Xu Mumu said with a smile. Her hair was sleek, black, and long; not only did she love it, but Yin Yang liked it too, which is why she hadn’t planned on cutting it short. Long hair looked quite nice, and her face shape suited this style well.

With the scissors in hand, Xu Mumu deftly trimmed a portion of her ends. She had cut her hair numerous times; such trimming was a breeze for her.

"Now I won’t accidentally sit on my hair," Xu Mumu said contentedly, often tying her hair in a simple ponytail except when braiding it. Long hair tied behind often got caught under her when sitting.

"I noticed a lot of places in the provincial city are buying hair. Your hair is so long and beautiful, you could probably sell it for ten bucks," Madam Chen said earnestly. If she weren’t so old, she’d consider growing her hair out to sell, not realizing hair could be so valuable; her hair grew quite fast.
