Chapter 537: Sending My Little Brother to School

Arriving at the small shop, because it’s the beginning of the school year, business is pretty good here.

"Mumu, you guys come here, Fengfeng, come, let me hold you." Li Caixia saw Xu Mumu and her little brother coming over, and she smiled warmly, moved a stool over, and scooped her son up in her arms.

"Mom, in the afternoon, I’m going to play at the kindergarten with my sister again." The little rascal happily boasted to Li Caixia while she wiped his face about going to play with his sister.

"Running so far again? You’re just pestering your sister." Li Caixia poked her son’s chubby little face. This little rascal couldn’t stay put at home and needed someone to take him out for walks every day.

With no one idle at home now, this task fell to Xu Mumu.

Li Caixia’s view was to just walk around the neighborhood a bit, not too far, in case anything happened. After all, Xu Mumu was pregnant now.

"It’s not far, walk slowly for a bit and rest again, we’ll be there." Xu Mumu shook her head with a smile; she wasn’t as fragile as other pregnant women.

"Mom, seeing how much the little one likes that kindergarten, why not let him go to school there?" Xu Mumu brought up the idea of sending her little brother to school.

Although not much is learned in kindergarten, there are many kids there, and the little guy can have playmates. This way, he wouldn’t be jumping around at home all day.

"Fengfeng is only a little over three, isn’t it too early?" Xu Hai hesitantly asked.

"It’s fine, send him in just to play; there are many kids, toys, and teachers to watch over him, way better than at home. He can also learn a bit in kindergarten." Xu Mumu said calmly.

Knowing that the school was set up by Huo Qingze, sending her little brother in was completely doable. If too young, he could attend kindergarten for an extra year; these things weren’t a big deal.

"Dad, go to kindergarten." The little rascal got excited as soon as he heard about kindergarten, but he already understood what going to school meant. After all, there were quite a few older siblings studying at home.

"If our Fengfeng is so young and bullied at kindergarten, what should we do?" Xu Hai was uneasy. His own child was naughty; what if he provoked someone and got hit?

"Dad, there are teachers watching, plus look at Fengfeng, he’s so robust and mischievous. I reckon he’s more likely to bully others." Xu Mumu thought her dad was overthinking it, as long as the little brother didn’t bully others, it was good enough.

"Sending him in is fine, I’ll pick him up to and from school every day." Li Caixia considered, scratching her chin. She thought the school was good. Her daughter was pregnant and didn’t have the energy to watch Fengfeng, so having many kids and teachers there to watch him was convenient for just a bit of tuition.

"I’ll talk to Yin Yang at noon, then." Xu Mumu nodded, as the kindergarten wasn’t far. It was better for Li Caixia to pick up the child.

Given how many child traffickers are around, with her brother so young, it’s not possible to let him return home alone.

After chatting for a while, it got quite hot, and Madam Chen sent them back.

At home, Madam Chun was already cooking, and Yin Yang had also returned, accompanied by Huo Qingze.

The two were discussing something in the living room, and Xu Mumu didn’t interrupt them for the moment.

Only after they tidied up the pile of stuff on the table did Yin Yang turn his attention to Xu Mumu with concern.

"Aren’t you hot? Why did you go out again?" Yin Yang turned the fan towards Xu Mumu and said gently.

"I went to see Mom, what are you guys discussing again?" Xu Mumu asked with a smile.

"Brother-in-law, I’m hot too, I want the fan." The little rascal immediately ran over and sat beside Xu Mumu. Family had told him multiple times not to jump on his sister, so now he was more careful when approaching her.

"It’s so hot, and you’re running around, you’re really not shy." Xu Mumu pinched the little rascal’s cheeks helplessly.

"Sister, don’t pinch anymore, it won’t look nice." The little rascal pouted, looking at his sister unhappily.

"I didn’t think you’d be vain too." Huo Qingze laughed from the side, finding the Xu family really amusing.

"I want to look better than Huo and brother-in-law." The little rascal looked at brother-in-law Yin Yang and then at Huo Qingze. They were familiar to him, so he knew them well.

"Don’t kid yourself." Xu Mumu’s mouth twitched. This little rascal was bold in his words. How many could grow to look as good as these two?

The little rascal looked at his sister, puzzled, not understanding what she meant.

"Have some pastry." Yin Yang smiled, handing a small piece of mung bean cake to the little guy.

"Thank you, brother-in-law." The little rascal thanked him politely, something his sister had taught him. He’d grown quite refined in eating and behavior.

Xu Mumu also picked up a piece of mung bean cake and started eating, then talked about sending her little brother to kindergarten.

Yin Yang was quite supportive of this idea. It wasn’t good for Xu Mumu to always have to look after her little brother, especially since she was pregnant. Although Xu Mumu was healthy, he was still a bit worried.

"You all are okay with him being so small?" Huo Qingze raised an eyebrow, though he wasn’t objecting. It was just a matter of saying a few words.

"Nothing to be unwilling about, we can see him every day; Mumu is pregnant, she doesn’t have the time to watch over him constantly." Yin Yang said calmly.

"As you wish, I’ll have someone say something in the afternoon, and once school formally begins, we’ll send him straight there." Huo Qingze said calmly.

With this resolved, Xu Mumu was overjoyed, and seeing her happy, the little rascal grinned foolishly as well.

In the afternoon, after napping, the little rascal clamored to go play at school again. Xu Mumu gave him a hat to wear, and off they went.

Now, the little rascal was used to wearing a hat, worried about getting tanned, looking ugly.

On the way to school, Xu Mumu touched her belly. It’s grown quite a bit larger, and regarding pregnancy, she only felt she’s eating more; there were no other feelings now.
