Chapter 538: Making Friends

The kindergarten start date was a few days later, and Li Caixia got up early to tidy up her son, and then carried his newly bought backpack, heading towards the kindergarten.

There were quite a few people sending their children to the kindergarten. Seeing all these people, Li Caixia hesitated a bit because they all seemed quite wealthy, wearing clothes she usually didn’t see. She didn’t expect so many rich people in the provincial city.

In fact, there were indeed many wealthy people in the provincial city. Now that everything is completely open, many people not only have money but also items of considerable value, which are gradually appreciating.

Seeing so many kids here, the little one was very happy.

Li Caixia gave her son plenty of reminders, yet she still felt a bit uneasy. After sending her son into the classroom, seeing that many people hadn’t left yet, watching from outside, she quickly found a spot to keep an eye on her son, worried he might not adapt or be bullied.

Earlier, she noticed that many of the kids here were quite a bit older than Fengfeng.

The teacher was a young, pretty woman who spoke very gently. Although the kids were a bit reserved, under the teacher’s soothing voice, they relaxed in no time.

Sitting next to Fengfeng was a chubby kid, who seemed a bit timid.

"What’s your name? My mom said my name is Xu Mingfeng, I am three and a half, I live in the Huaiyuan Road community, and I like my sister the most," he said while tugging on the chubby kid’s clothes. The little one spoke clearly and was quite talkative.

"I, I’m called Yu Yi, I’m five years old," said the chubby Yu Yi in a low voice. Turns out he is even younger than me, yet he’s only a bit shorter than me.

"My sister said to make friends at school, so we will be friends from now on," the little one said, patting Yu Yi’s shoulder like a little adult.

"Here, have this candy. I only have a few left," Fengfeng took a candy out from his small bag for Yu Yi.

"Is it okay for me to eat? But my mom told me not to eat other people’s food. She says there are a lot of bad people out there," Yu Yi hesitated, looking conflicted. He loved sweets; otherwise, he wouldn’t be this chubby.

"My sister said the same, but now we are friends, not strangers. You can eat it," the little one said, putting the candy into Yu Yi’s hand directly.

"Thank you," Yu Yi whispered. He hadn’t had anyone befriend him before, and it felt quite nice. He then took out some snacks from his bag, "These are chocolates my uncle brought back for me. Have some too."

"I’ve had these before. My brother-in-law brought them back," the little one’s eyes lit up immediately.

"You know them? They taste so good," the chubby kid relaxed more, feeling he had more topics in common with this little guy.

Watching from outside, Li Caixia was very pleased. Her little one exchanged a piece of candy for so much chocolate, feeling very satisfied. She had tasted chocolate before and asked her daughter about its price. Such an expensive item, and he got quite a bit. Her son indeed took after her, clever as ever.

After observing for a while, confirming that her son wouldn’t be bullied, Li Caixia felt relieved and left after saying goodbye to her son after class.

Upon arriving at the shop, Madam Chen and others immediately inquired about the little one’s situation at school.

"Caixia, how was it? Did Fengfeng get bullied at school? Did he cry?" Xu Hai immediately grabbed Li Caixia to ask. Fengfeng was the youngest child in the family, and everyone was naturally more concerned about him.

"No worries, he’s doing fine. He even made a little chubby boy friend who gave him quite a bit of chocolate. Oh my, there are really many rich people there. Sending Fengfeng to study there was truly wise." Li Caixia silently praised herself for sending her son to kindergarten, seeing it as a chance for him to meet more wealthy people.

Li Caixia happily talked about her son’s school performance, feeling very proud and believing that her son’s cleverness resembled her own.

Madam Chen and her husband were relieved; as long as their little grandson wasn’t bullied, it was fine. However, seeing him less often made them feel a bit uneasy.

Xu Hai was also satisfied, glad that sending the little one to school spared them from having him cause chaos at home all day.

Having slept in, Xu Mumu realized her little brother was already sent to school, felt a bit dazed but relaxed after that.

Enjoying breakfast made by Madam Chun, the house was empty.

After breakfast, Xu Mumu lazed on the sofa, touching her belly, noting it was still the same size despite eating so much.

Xu Mumu took out a book to read. She had gained some inspiration recently, but with her growing belly, she didn’t dare head to the lab.

The sofa at home had been replaced with the softest one by Yin Yang, allowing Xu Mumu to comfortably read on it, a notebook by her side for jotting down ideas.

Rubbing her belly, she wished to give birth soon so she could rush to the lab to test her ideas, unsure if they were feasible.

Time flies when reading; with the house quiet, Xu Mumu found even meals were less lively.

At noon, Yin Yang didn’t return as there was important work at the company he needed to handle.

After lunch, having slept in the morning, Xu Mumu wasn’t sleepy. So, she put on a hat and headed to check out the small shop.

By the time she reached the small shop, the fast-food place was no longer busy, with Li Caixia and the others having their lunch.

On her way, Xu Mumu was surprised to see two new fast-food restaurants, realizing the profitable business idea of fast-food had been learned by others.

There wasn’t much difficulty in running these fast-food joints. While many college students were quite poor, some had money to spend on bettering their life, and fast-food prices were not steep compared to school canteens, offering more variety.

"Mumu, sit down quickly. It’s so hot, why did you run outside?" Seeing beads of sweat on Xu Mumu’s forehead, Li Caixia felt concerned, immediately turning the fan towards her daughter.

"Mom, I’m not very hot, you guys eat first." Xu Mumu shook her head; she indeed didn’t feel too hot. With her superpower, her body was more tolerant to heat, unlike her family who found it somewhat hot.
