I ordered the food and began to listen to the conversation around me. It was no secret anymore that I had come outside the Star University Territory.

The foreign creatures had dispatched people to eliminate me. The locals here were afraid. Clearly, the people who were after me were all killers.

They were breaking the laws, and their actions were going against the Star University. Dean Jerome had already wiped out most of the spies and the warriors.

Yet, there were some pests deeply hidden. The locals were worried that they would be caught in the crossfire.

A quick gleam appeared in my eyes. These people were worried that they would get caught in the crossfire, but they didn’t know that two prominent families here had chosen the side of the foreign creatures.

After having the food, I paid the bill and left the shop. Then I approached a nearby cab driver. I asked the driver to take me around the city.

The driver agreed. I entered and sat down in the back seat.

The car departed from the place. As the car was moving in mid-air, my gaze fell outside. I started viewing the passing scene from the window.

As the name suggests, there is a huge lake in the middle of the city. People were having a fun ride on the boats. My heart filled with calmness.

There was no need to approach the families in a hurry. At this point, they must be clear that I am targeting them.

30 minutes later,

The car dropped me in front of a popular hotel here. I paid the fare to the driver before going inside the hotel. Then I came to the front desk and booked a single room.

I got the room key and went to the room on the second floor. After arriving there, I used the key to enter the room. I checked the room before taking a rest inside.

The Grave and Wood Families were two families among the five prominent families here. Compared to the three other families, the fortunes of these two families were declining.

They were the faction leaders of the various universities. Among those few, less than ten were able to reach the Full Red Mark Level Stage. They were the Deans of the Universities.

The family heads had taken this decision not only to protect themselves from the three families, but from the Star University as well.

Right now, these families had got the message that Zack Lockwood was outside Star University. He had killed the family heads of the warrior families who had chosen the side of the foreign creatures.

The news immediately brought a shock like a thunderclap to their heads. They thought their activities were secret, but they never expected the Star University to find out.

If the university was able to find out about the other families, it was normal for them to know about their two families as well. The Family Heads of the Wood and Grave Families were tense.

They had taken the task from the foreign creatures to eliminate Zack Lockwood. If they failed to complete the task, then they could find themselves in trouble.

The two families had decided to have a closed-door discussion at night.

On the other hand, the warriors who had gone to the previous city earlier had overturned the city. Finally, the city lord there threatened them, involving the Star University.

Then the killers had left the place. The killers themselves were afraid. If the Star University dispatched their students, then they would hunt down everyone.

The warriors separated. Each group went to different cities. There was a higher possibility of them finding Zack Lockwood this way.

Soon, they found out the warrior was staying in one of their popular hotels. They contacted the hotel administration and collected the details.

They knew which room the Warrior was staying in. The information was given to the City Lord. He was a burly, middle-aged man. His name was Brock.

Brock read the news. He decided to visit late at night.

He knew that warriors from other places were entering the city in large numbers. He knew they were after Zack Lockwood.

He had asked the higher-ups earlier, but they told him not to get involved. Dean Jerome had given a mission to Zack Lockwood to eliminate the spies and killers.

So they didn’t have to intervene. He was shocked knowing that this many people had taken the job to eliminate Zack Lockwood.

He thanked Dean Jerome in his heart. Not long ago, Dean Jerome had cleared the whole Star University Territory. Despite such efforts, there were still hidden rats in their region.

He then collected his thoughts and waited for midnight to come.

When midnight arrived, he left the place secretly. He himself was a strong Purple Mark Warrior. He didn’t take anyone along with him.

The warrior from the Star University was one of their own. He didn’t think any conflict would occur. Soon, he reached the hotel.

The front desk staff were awake. They knew the City Lord would come. Upon seeing him, they were about to greet him, but he eye-signaled them to stay quiet.
