Scorpion led the traitor into the interrogation room and had a few of his men tie him to a wooden stake. The traitor struggled and begged for mercy.

"Don’t do this, Scorpion! We’ve been together for so long, can’t you spare my life? I’ll give you all my supplies, please, I beg you!" pleaded the traitor.

Scorpion, with one eye narrowed, aimed the swinging hammer at the traitor’s forehead and replied, "Bastard, you’ve been with me since day one of the apocalypse. I treated you like a brother and hoped to groom you as my right-hand man. But you chose to betray us in such a despicable way. And now you have the nerve to beg for mercy? After I’m done with you, I’ll scatter your ashes!"

With that, Scorpion powered on the electrically-driven swinging hammer, which began striking the traitor’s forehead. As Scorpion left the room, he could hear the traitor’s terrified screams echoing behind him, bringing some satisfaction to his heart.

Returning to the meeting room, Scorpion, Black Bear, and Raven stood before Sheriff, awaiting his orders. Sheriff had his eyes closed, deep in thought, while his loyal subordinates remained silent.

After a moment, Sheriff opened his eyes and gave the command, "Let’s go." 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

"Yes!" Scorpion rushed to the door and held it open for Sheriff. As Sheriff stepped out, Scorpion followed, and Black Bear and Raven fell in line.

At the central courtyard of the police station, hundreds of elite members were assembled, standing tall and fierce like a pack of hungry wolves. Sheriff was very pleased with the sight, knowing they would be his ace in the hole.

Sheriff stood on a platform that had once been used for raising the flag, facing his loyal subordinates. He spoke with conviction, "Brothers, this will be a righteous battle! 10086 has committed countless crimes since the start of the apocalypse. Just a few days ago, they stole the platinum-level supplies that rightfully belonged to us. Should we seek revenge?!"

The elite members shouted in unison, "Yes!"

Sheriff continued, "Very well! This is the spirit I want to see! Now, how should we seek revenge?!"

Without hesitation, the crowd raised their weapons over their heads and yelled, "Kill! Kill! Kill!!"

Sheriff, still serious, rallied them, "That’s the spirit! This time, we’ll stand for justice and eliminate this tyrant for all survivors to see! Let everyone know that our police station is inviolable!"

"Let’s go!" Sheriff shouted.

"Yes!" The members roared in response.

Black Bear and Raven led the vanguard, and the police station emptied almost completely, with only a few ordinary members left to guard the base.

Sheriff was determined to crush 10086 with absolute strength, leaving them with no chance to retaliate. The police station had two helicopters at its disposal.

One helicopter had already been destroyed by Waldo during the battle in the old city area. Without hesitation, Sheriff dispatched the other one. He and Scorpion got into an off-road vehicle, while the rest of the team squeezed into several large trucks to head towards the villa area.

For safety reasons, Sheriff’s off-road vehicle didn’t travel in the middle or at the front of the convoy. Instead, they followed closely behind the trucks to avoid potential ambushes.

Scorpion sat in the passenger seat, while Black Bear and Raven couldn’t join them and had to sit with the others in the back of the trucks. However, they were allowed to sit inside the truck cabins.

Glancing back at Sheriff, Scorpion respectfully asked, "Boss, do we really need to go all out this time? Our elite forces are all deployed, and our base might be vulnerable with only a few brothers left there."

Sheriff, half-closing his eyes as he was nearly falling asleep, replied with a smile, "Scorpion, are you worried that our competitors might take advantage of this opportunity to attack our base?"

Scorpion nodded. "Yes, I am worried about that. Did you anticipate such a possibility when you made this decision, Boss?"

Sheriff chuckled. "Don’t flatter me. Yes, I did consider that. But even if Saturn or Drug lord betrays us, so what? Our foundation lies in this group of elites. As long as they are here, our core remains intact. The base is just a place, we can always find another or take it back when needed."

Scorpion was taken aback by Sheriff’s readiness to abandon the base. "But Boss, that base was hard-won. We fought a tough battle against Jinhu’s team to capture it. It would be a shame to give it up."

Jinhu was a team located in the central area. When the police station first moved there, they needed a base and targeted a school with an open courtyard occupied by Jinhu’s team. A fierce battle ensued, and the police station emerged victorious, but it cost them a lot to clean up the bloodstains and bodies afterward.

Now Sheriff was saying they didn’t need the base anymore, leaving Scorpion puzzled about his change in perspective.

Sheriff sighed, his eyes showing a hint of loneliness as if he stood alone on a mountaintop. "Never mind the hypothetical loss of the base. Even if it happens, do you think it’ll be difficult for us to seize another base? Things are different now. We remove the thorn in our side—10086—and secure our foothold in the old city area while constantly collecting high-level supplies and expanding our armed forces. By then, even if Saturn and Drug lord gang up on us, what can they do?"

Scorpion finally grasped the bigger picture. Sheriff’s vision extended far beyond his own. It seemed he had already planned to move the base to the old city area.
