Born Into Villain's Family: I Have a 200\% Rebate System
Chapter 594: Discovering The Truth
Rasha thought for a moment, tapping her fingers lightly against the cup.
"Honestly, it’s better to just confront them directly," she replied. "Talk to them. Even if they don’t tell you everything, you’ll at least see how they react."
Adriana let out a quiet sigh, her shoulders slumping slightly.
"If only it were that simple..." she murmured.
’If Aurora was the kind of person who would just admit it, none of this would feel so complicated ...’
She forced a small smile, but her mind remained elsewhere for the rest of the day. She was so distracted that even her boss noticed.
"You seem off today," he remarked. "Do you want to take the rest of the day off?"
Adriana didn’t hesitate. "Yes... I think I will."
However, in her daze, she forgot her wallet.
It wasn’t until she reached outside, patting her bag absentmindedly, that realization struck.
’My wallet...!’
Without wasting a second, she rushed back inside. She remembered leaving it behind while talking to her superior earlier.
As she approached the office, she slowed down slightly, just as voices drifted through the partially closed door.
She froze.
"...I’m honestly amazed by Adriana," her superior’s voice came through clearly. "Even though she doesn’t know it, she already owns this entire company."
Adriana’s breath caught in her throat. ’What...?’
Another voice followed, filled with disbelief.
"If that’s true, then why is she still working here like a regular employee?"
Adriana pressed herself closer to the wall, her heart pounding loudly in her chest.
"That’s not the point," her superior replied.
"From what I’ve heard, Mr. Dawn acquired the company, hired top designers, and transferred all the shares to Adriana. It was meant for her... a second company, prepared in advance."
Adriana’s fingers trembled.
"And she doesn’t know?" the other voice asked.
"We don’t know why," came the answer. "But the higher-ups are aware. Eventually, when she’s ready, she’ll take over as CEO."
Adriana clutched her chest tightly, her mind spinning.
’I... own this company?’
The revelation felt unreal, almost suffocating.
Taking a deep breath, she forced herself to move. She lifted her hand and knocked on the door.
"Come in."
She stepped inside, wearing a tired smile as if nothing had happened.
"Sorry... I forgot my wallet."
She picked it up quickly, gave a small nod, and left before anyone could say more.
Behind her, her superior and colleague exchanged uneasy glances.
"Do you think she heard that?" one whispered.
"...If she did, she didn’t react," the other replied, though uncertainty lingered in their voices.
Outside, Adriana let out a slow breath. ’Of course I heard ...’
A faint, bitter smile appeared on her lips. ’But even if I asked, they wouldn’t tell me everything.’
She pulled out her phone and dialed one of her siblings. The line rang for a few seconds before it was picked up.
"Yes?" Theodore’s voice came through.
Adriana didn’t waste time.
"Do you know that Miss Dawn is Aurora?"
There was a brief silence on the other end.
His eyes widened, though she couldn’t see it. She figured it out ...’
Guilt flickered through him, but he quickly masked it.
"What?" he exclaimed. "Aurora is Miss Dawn?"
Hearing the shock in his voice, Adriana felt a small sense of satisfaction.
"Yes," she replied, then went on to explain everything she had overheard, her words spilling out rapidly.
In return, she also mentioned her own discovery. "...and apparently, I own the company I’ve been working in."
There was a pause. On the other side, he exhaled slowly.
’That does sound like something she would do ...’
Taking a deep breath, he spoke firmly.
"Then we should tell everyone. All the siblings deserve to know the truth."
Adriana nodded, even though he couldn’t see her.
"I was thinking the same."
Without hesitation, she ended the call and immediately dialed Olivia’s number.
Once the call connected, Olivia picked up almost instantly, her voice carrying its usual lively tone.
"Hello? What’s going on?"
Adriana didn’t waste any time; her fingers tightened slightly around her phone as she spoke.
"It’s about Aurora ..."
There was a brief pause on the other end, followed by a faint rustling sound as if Olivia had straightened up.
"What about her?"
Adriana inhaled slowly before saying it outright. "Aurora is Miss Dawn."
Silence.
It stretched for a few seconds too long, heavy and almost suffocating, before Olivia finally spoke again.
"...Now I understand."
Her voice sounded different... quieter, yet laced with realization.
"No wonder I always felt like that girl had an absurd amount of money."
She let out a soft breath, almost like a laugh mixed with disbelief.
"Honestly, if she had told me earlier, I would’ve quit my job on the spot and joined her directly."
Adriana rolled her eyes, though a faint smile tugged at her lips.
"You really know how to joke, even in a situation like this."
After ending the call, Adriana didn’t stop.
She immediately contacted Lucas, relayed everything, and then gathered all her siblings into a conference call.
One by one, their voices filled the line, overlapping slightly as confusion and curiosity spread among them.
When everyone had settled, Adriana spoke again, her tone steady but thoughtful.
"There’s one way to confirm everything," she said. "If this feels suspicious, then we should check how much each of us actually owns on paper."
The moment those words left her mouth, the line erupted into chatter. Everyone began speaking at once, theories clashing, disbelief mixing with excitement.
Olivia cut through the noise with a confident chuckle.
"That’s easy. I have connections. Give me a few minutes, and I’ll get the information."
Soon enough, Adriana created a group, and the wait began.
When the results finally came in, silence fell.
No one spoke for several long seconds, as if all of them were struggling to process what they were seeing.
Adriana’s hands trembled slightly as she scrolled.
’This... this can’t be real ...’
Under her name alone, there were multiple real estate holdings spanning years, worth over a hundred million dollars.
Investments in shares worth another hundred million. Gold and silver had multiplied in value to nearly five hundred million.
Digital currency that had doubled to two hundred million.
And that wasn’t even everything.
Buildings under development, hidden investments, safety nets layered so deeply that even if she lost everything, she could simply sit back and live comfortably for the rest of her life.
She pressed a hand against her chest, her breathing uneven.
"Good heavens..."
But she wasn’t the only one.
Lucas, Theodore, and Olivia each had similar assets quietly placed under their names. Wealth beyond anything they had ever imagined.
Adriana swallowed hard.
"What about Alex?" she asked.
Olivia glanced at the data and let out a short laugh. "He’s no different. He has just as much as we do."
Adriana closed her eyes briefly, trying to steady herself. "I never knew Aurora was this rich ..."
She trailed off, her voice barely above a whisper.
Olivia chuckled again, though this time there was a hint of admiration in it.
"Of course she’s rich. How else do you think she became the ’Investment Queen’?"
She paused before adding,
"And don’t forget... she already owns a company worth over a billion dollars."
That statement lingered in the air. Slowly, realization dawned on all of them.
Despite having all this power and wealth, Aurora had never acted superior. She had quietly prepared everything for them, securing their futures without ever mentioning it.
A warmth spread through their hearts.
’She did all of this... for us ...’
By the time Aurora returned from the university that evening, she was so exhausted that she collapsed on the sofa.
But the moment she looked up, she froze.
All her siblings were there, staring at her with strange, intense expressions.
"...What’s going on?" she asked cautiously.
Before she could get an answer, everything happened at once.
Adriana rushed forward with a glass of water. Lucas appeared with a plate of sweets.
Olivia stepped behind her and began massaging her shoulders.
Meanwhile, Adriana quickly arranged cut fruits in front of her.
Aurora blinked, completely stunned.
"Do you... want to eat?" Adriana asked, almost too eagerly.
Aurora looked at all of them, her suspicion rising instantly.
’This is not normal...’
She narrowed her eyes.
"What do you all want?" she asked bluntly. "Are you trying to make me rebel against Mom and Dad or pull off something shady?"
The siblings exchanged glances before Olivia burst into laughter.
"You’re completely misunderstanding us," she said. "We just... feel lucky to have you."
Aurora leaned back slightly, a small, pleased smile forming despite herself.
"Well," she said cheekily, waving her hand, "you don’t need to be so emotional. I’ll stay with you all till the end anyway."
Then, as if it were nothing, she added,
"So, how much money do you want? I can give each of you a hundred dollars."
Her tone made it sound like she was offering millions.
Theodore, who had been holding himself back the entire time, suddenly blurted out,
"Then transfer me a hundred million dollars!"
