Chapter 18: A Cyclone of Flying Piranha!? Part-2

"Urk!"

The moment Zephyr lost the protection of perfect stealth, hundreds of those orb-shaped piranha monsters started to bite and hit Zephyr’s hand and fingers that were trying to hold the shield in place.

Although Zephyr’s body was strong and extremely resistant to damage, it still hurt badly when hundreds of monsters hit him and tried to bite his fingers continuously!

One of the flying orb piranhas came flying and crashed into Zephyr’s hand in an attempt to injure him but ended up shattering its body.

To Zephyr’s dismay, the moment the creature’s body shattered, acidic blood and weird, slimy, disgusting-smelling liquid poured out everywhere, and the moment it came in contact with air, it caught fire!

’Sh*t!’

The snake scale was resistant to fire, but Zephyr’s hand smeared in burning liquid was not so resistant.

The increasing pain and the grave injuries on the hand forced Zephyr to take his hand back and use the other hand so that he could pin the shield down.

But unfortunately for Zephyr, those monsters seemed to have enough intelligence to understand what hurt Zephyr more.

The moment they saw Zephyr retract his hand after being burned, they actively started smashing nearby comrades of theirs into Zephyr’s direction, creating even more fire and explosions!

*Oirrrr!!!!* *EO* *EO* *eooorriiii*

It didn’t take long for Zephyr’s other hand to be injured, but by the time it got injured, his other hand had recovered from the energy he had absorbed from the continuous attacks, and thus he changed his hand again. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

With this, Zephyr and the cyclone of piranha monsters ended up in a stalemate with no party winning.

The piranha monsters were just as stubborn as Zephyr was desperate to survive; they refused to move on and let Zephyr slip past their jaws!

Thus, the stalemate kept dragging on and on for the next three hours straight.

After three hours of desperate struggle for survival, Zephyr heaved a sigh of relief as he noticed that the cyclone had moved away from him and the flying piranha monsters had no other choice but to leave with their companions!

"Hufff... hehe... pant... huff... I win... hehe... I win..."

By that point, Zephyr was exhausted both mentally and physically; his eyes were bloodshot, and he didn’t even feel like moving a single muscle due to exhaustion.

With the damaged and broken scale shield covering his body, Zephyr fell asleep in that small hole he had dug for himself as all the stress and tension came rushing at him at once!

[Shining_Lorraine: H-he survived! Unbelievable! I was almost sure that the anchor would be eaten clean by those piranhas this time! But he survived! This is awesome!!]

[Blue_Dinosaur: I kneel to you, oh great god of main tanks! You are the savior of us all, #Zephyrthegoat!]

[Jumping_Koala: D*mn! This guy is insane!]

[Rolling_Crocodile: Hah! I knew it! I knew our great tank god would survive this disaster just like he did the previous time! It’s you idiots who didn’t believe in him! But I never lost my faith in his capabilities!]

[Blue_eyed_sea_otter: Indeed! The anchor literally had ’Reid’ in his name! If you have seen anime and stuff, you would know that characters with that kind of name are always overpowered as f*ck!! All Hail The Tank God!!!]

[Rolling_Crocodile: Indeed! All Hail The Invincible Tank God!!]

Although Zephyr had fainted and drifted off into sleep, his livestream was still continuously livestreaming without any problems.

Hundreds of thousands of people praised him for his insane determination to be able to survive despite such great odds!

Even if Zephyr possessed an insanely strong physique, being able to persevere through hours of pain and torture without giving up for a single moment was a feat worthy of praise!

[Ding! Congratulations! You got 10 Bp!]

[Ding! Congratulations! You got 20 Bp!]

[Ding! Congratulations! You got 30 Bp!]

Although Zephyr lay there unconscious, his belief points started to increase at an insanely fast speed as more and more people started to believe in Zephyr’s ability to persevere through hard times and survive difficulties at all costs!

...

Time passed quickly as the sun started to set on the horizon.

By the time Zephyr finally woke up from his sleep, it was already starting to get dark outside his makeshift home!

"Oh Sh*t! I fell asleep! That was very careless of me!"

After witnessing the photon worm bombardment and the cyclone of flying piranha monsters, Zephyr already knew how dangerous the Sea of Ash was.

Until now, he had only encountered three types of monsters, which were the snake, the photon worm, and the weird orb-like piranha that used a cyclone to fly around to look for prey.

Although Zephyr had only met these three types of monsters, each one was more lethal than the other, and there were likely many more monsters residing in this abominable sea of ash!

Thus, letting your guard down for even a single second could prove to be fatal!

’Thankfully my ’Absolut Stealth’ ability was still active when I fainted...’

Although the piranhas had managed to bypass the ability, it was indeed still in effect as he had forgotten to turn it off; that likely helped Zephyr keep a low profile when he fainted.

’I must not do the same mistake again... I can’t afford to be so careless again...’

While motivating himself to do better from now on, Zephyr slowly raised the shield to peek outside to see if there was any danger nearby.

Thankfully, there was nothing nearby, and thus Zephyr was able to heave a sigh of relief and crawl out of that small pit.

"Ugh... I really miss the clean air from back home... this place doesn’t even let me breath properly..."

The air in the entire sea of ash was heavily polluted with fine particles of ash and smoke that were likely created by those photon worm bombardments every day, and thus, it was very unhealthy to breathe the air in this place.

’Thankfully I have a strong body... or I might have already died by now from suffocation and lack of oxygen...’

Looking at the endless sea of ash around him, Zephyr could only shake his head in helplessness.

’This place is worse than a nightmare... I just want to get out of here as fast I can... sigh...’
