Building the Strongest Pavilion in Another World
Chapter 75: Shen Crippled?!
Darius felt refreshed as he felt the enormous energy spreading through his entire body, it was so enormous that he felt his chest was about to burst, even suffocating. He wouldn’t be joking if he said he felt the need to destroy something right now.
’Let’s show Wolf Fang that I’m not that easy to bully,’ Darius smirked, he was confident in his abilities and although he only had one technique, it was more than enough to deal with any peak True Qi Realm cultivator. Thinking this far, he took a deep breath relaxed the energy contained inside of his body and got ready to leave.
"Bring me to them!" Darius said darkly.
Annie was delighted and hurriedly brought Darius with her to Shen’s quarters. She had seen how the Apex Medicine Pavilion had treated Darius back then, so she believed that if Darius were to act, then things could still be redeemed.
The two of them were in a rush, so very quickly, they arrived at the students’ hostel. This was where the Ordinary Disciples of the academy lived. Unlike True Disciples, who had a courtyard to themselves, a few Ordinary Disciples would share a single courtyard, and the treatment was completely different.
Cody had made a comeback on behalf of the guild and was unbearably arrogant, making no attempts to hide his actions at all. On the other hand, he wanted nothing more than to inform everyone in the Academy of it, to let them see how impressive and mighty Wolf Fang is and that everyone who messes with them, will only face bad consequences.
Thus, there was a large number of people watching the scene. Some were sympathetic, some were rejoicing in Darius’s misfortune, while others were completely indifferent. Any circle would be able to show the multiple facets of human nature.
Despite only hearing bits of information about Darius and his pavilion, human’s always loved to watch drama unfold while others loved to see people who were about to rise being crashed down to the lowest of levels. It made them feel a sense of relief and forget their loser life they were living.
In the middle of the crowd, Shen was already covered with injuries and lying on the ground. Cody had one foot firmly stepping on Shen’s face, and Shen’s fingers were visibly entrenched deeply into the ground beneath him. It was obvious to the rest how furious he was at this moment.
Darius’s eyes were like swords of ice. As he strode forward, those around seemed to be able to sense his current rage. They turned around, and when they saw the icy expression on his face, they subconsciously retreated a few steps and opened up a path for him to pass through.
This also included the few students who were in the Acupoint Qi Realm. They were both surprised and confused about how they could be scared off by a fellow cultivator merely in the True Qi Realm.
The crowd separated like flowing water, and a direct path to the center of the crowd appeared.
As for how they recognised him? Laughable, it was the age of technology, and Darius’s image had already spread among the youngsters after his bit of fame with the demon suppression office. He even had a few appearances on one of the casual forums on earth, but his existence was insignificant, so no one paid attention to him.
Cody immediately turned around and looked to find that it was Darius. A sliver of arrogance appeared on his face, he smiled cockily, and said, "Darius, did you see? These are the consequences of your actions! You think you are the assassin’s guild or something? Daring to assassinate one of our team leaders, you might as well crack me a joke."
Darius did not say anything. He merely continued his advance without pause.
"Hahahaha, are you extremely displeased? So what if you are! I want you to be very displeased before I deal with you!" Cody smirked coldly and deliberately rubbed his foot on Shen’s face a few times. "This is your friend, or was it a customer? Then I’m really sorry. I did everything on purpose!
Don’t say that I didn’t give him a chance," Cody shrugged, and continued, "I told him that as long as he cut off all relations with you from now onwards, and announced all the evil acts and crimes you have committed under the guise of your pavilion missions, then I would let him off. Who knew that this brat would be so stubborn and so stupidly loyal that he was actually not willing to betray you!
Ai, the kind of person I hate the most would be this kind of unreasonable idiot, so I could only thrash him until he admits the error of his ways!
Don’t worry, there could not be so many idiots in this world. In the future, I will go seek out that pretty lady next to you, Annie, Moon, and the others, and I believe that they would not be as stupid as this!"
Without a shadow of a doubt, when he was referring to Moon and Old First, he meant with backup from the guild since he couldn’t possibly deal with them by himself. Still, having inferior strength didn’t stop him from acting arrogantly.
Cody suddenly paused, and when he saw the ice-cold expression on Darius’s face, he felt great delight...the more humiliated Darius was, the happier he would be and the more merits he would receive. In fact, he wanted nothing more than to give a few furious stomps on that face of his.
"What is it? Do you want to step on me? 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
Unfortunately, you will not be able to! Just take a look, the guild appointed four guards on the peak of the True Qi Realm, so you don’t say we bully the weak with the strong. Forcing you into submission would be a piece of cake for them! Everyone here is the same. I can beat up anyone I don’t like the look of, but none of them would dare to touch a single hair on my head!
Come and beat me up, you idiot! If you have the balls to come thrash me!"
Cody laughed loudly, obviously very pleased with himself. He did not have any reservations about entering into Mocking Everyone Mode.
At this, quite a few people looked furious. It was necessary for rules to be in place in order to restrict anyone’s actions at any time. That way, there would be a limit to how far they would go. Yet Cody actually broke these rules...he would be able to thrash anyone he liked. Who would be able to feel safe again?
Still, where did he get such overwhelming confidence from? One had to know that even the members of the top guilds would not dare to say such words, and the Guardian Imperial Family would not say something like that either, as they were the ones who decided the rules, so how could they break their own rules so publicly?
What basis did Cody have to say these words? One had to understand that not even Kevin was much of anything in the vicinity of the Dragon City, what more this kind of spoilt profligate.
