Demon Slayer: Rise of The First Werewolf
Chapter 199: Pack Vs Shalaxin
The werewolves nodded and lunged, Sam and Marcus took the front, their speed type abilities made them a perfect opponent for this thing.
Sam took its right whole Marcus came from the left. Melissa took the front and Sbu came from the back with his cleaver.
The Delta werewolves moved like a single force. Annie nodded at Suki, Suki and her lineage took action.
Chains materialised mid air and flew through the sky intertwining across the forest forming a tight net.
This move severely limited the Shalaxin’s movements but they had severely underestimated the old creature.
Its tentacles stabbing towards Sbu’s chest, he placed his wide cleaver in front of him and blocked the tentacles.
The force sent him flying back like a ragdoll, he bounced on the chains and stabilized himself.
Sam and Marcus attacked at the same time, in their full werewolf form, their weapons merge with their claws.
They could separate them if need be but this enhanced the strength of both their claws and their blades.
The two werewolves had relatively similar abilities, both focused on speed with their second abilities being blades weapons.
However while Sam’s speed enhancement focused on extreme speed in a straight line, Marcus focused on manoeuvrability.
They swung their claws at its head and chest, its scythes lashed out blocking both of them.
The force sent them both flying back even faster than Sbu. The veins in their arms busted spraying blood everywhere.
Their claws cracked, however that had given Melissa a chance. Her fist cracked the Shalaxin’s outer layer.
It stabbed her in the chest with its tentacles and followed with its scythes going for her neck.
Should the attack land, she was bound to die but the speed difference between them was too huge.
She couldn’t dodge even if she moved at full speed, yet she felt no fear. A flash of silver appeared behind her.
What followed was a rain of fist sized spheres flying towards the Shalaxin like bullets.
It abandoned its attack on him to deflect the spheres. Melissa used that opportunity to yank the tentacles on her chest.
With her durability, they had not pierced far enough to reach her organs but they were extremely close.
Seizing the opportunity she tried to bite its neck and inject her venom but it jumped back and dodged.
The Shalaxin growled lowly, a grating voice pierced through their ears. The Omega and the Gemma were told to stay back.
This creature was too strong, one mistake and any of them would lose their lives, the only Gemma allowed to take action was Naija.
Since they arrived she hadn’t moved one bit, her eyes were locked on Adrian and her shoulders kept shaking.
Suzie turned towards her, " Naija, it’s time." Naija seemed to calm herself down then she turned towards the Shalaxin.
Her eyes were as cold as ice, " How dare you? How dare you? HOW DARE YOU TOUCH MY LORD YOU LOWLY VERMIN?!"
Her esper blazed like a bonfire, two massive werewolves materialised around her then her domain spread out.
It covered a radius of 50 metres around them, the Shalaxin was covered within the domain.
However her domain had no effect on it, on the contrary, she could feel her domain seemed to disappear a few centimetres from its body.
It was as if the Shalaxin was erasing her domain, fortunately this effect was only a few centimetres around it.
This meant her abilities would still be strengthened by her domain, this was the only reason Fayera and Espara can fight against Gadra on equal footing.
Otherwise with their blood traits, Gadra would be significantly stronger than both Fayera and Espara.
Her two wolves glowed even brighter and grew to 4.2 metres in height. They growled with eyes blazing with rage.
Her own face was calm and serene but her wolves perfectly reflected her emotions at that moment.
The wolves lunged, the ground shook beneath their feet. The chains opened up allowing them passage.
They attacked from both sides with their mouths wide open, the Shalaxin swung its scythe and cut off their heads.
But before it could react, they became whole again, one bit its tentacle but failed to bite it off.
It yanked the lighter Shalaxin to the sky and threw it towards a dense web of chains and silver glowing ropes.
The chains and ropes bound the Shalaxin and wrapped around it like spiderwebs forming a cocoon.
The cocoon continued getting tighter and tighter as Suki and her lineage members kept pulling.
Blades grinded around the cocoon so rapidly their friction created flames. Suki was using the 18 blades of her Kusarigama to cut the Shalaxin to multiple pieces.
The high pitched sound of grinding metal pierced through the forest making the sensitive werewolves uncomfortable.
Suki did not let up, she gritted her teeth and pulled even harder, her muscles looked as if they would explode.
Eventually she stopped, " It should be dead right?" A girl from a member of her lineage asked but Suki didn’t answer.
She also didn’t know, she tried to listen or smell the Shalaxin or even the scent of blood but there was nothing.
Slowly the werewolves started relaxing a little, there was no reaction inside the cocoon.
They figured if the Shalaxin was still alive then at least it should be gravely wounded, after all Suki’s attack was no joke.
" Grrr." They heard a low growl and they all tensed up. Suki gritted her teeth, " How the hell is this thing still alive?"
She felt her anger rising and a growl escaped her own lips. She yanked the chains even harder.
The blades started spinning so fast they became blurs forming 18 rings around the silver cocoon.
Suddenly they saw blurs, the next moment they heard the sound of cracking metal, it was low and barely perceptible. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Clang, the cocoon shattered and the Shalaxin jumped out and before anybody could react it was already upon Sbu.
He barely reacted and raised his cleaver, it scythe cut through the cleaver like a hot knife through butter.
The world seemed to stand still as the blade went for Sbu’s neck, " haaaaa." They heard a low sigh.
BOOOOOM, a wave of freezing energy spread out as fast as lightning turning the forest into a frozen tundra.
