Divine Beast Creator - Chapter 2253 - 22454: A Strange World
Darkness or rather a void surrounded them, and Yang Hongzhi and the others couldn’t tell if they were advancing or if Agunas and the others were just idly roaming around them.
Qiu Hanmo calmly gazed ahead. Although they hadn’t yet encountered the Parallel World, the current situation already proved that the enemy they were about to face might not be simple.
The White Wolf Deity ran at the forefront, Gitalien wandered around, Veronia and Agunas guarded the group vigilantly. Even these Divine Beasts couldn’t clearly perceive everything around in this place.
In such an environment, it was easy for everyone to lose accurate perception of time. After a long while, Feng Yuan hadn’t seen their destination yet. He glanced at Yang Hongzhi and the others, realizing they couldn’t continue like this.
For Feng Yuan, this environment didn’t pose much impact, but for Qi Chen and the rest, it was hard to say. Such a void environment was most likely to cause psychological issues.
Just as Feng Yuan was about to take action, something strange suddenly appeared in his perception. He slowly lowered the Lantern he had lifted and looked ahead.
Though it all seemed dark, suddenly a Great Whirlpool emerged before them in the eyes of everyone, like a starless nebula slowly spiraling, illogical and wondrous.
"It’s truly special."
Qiu Hanmo couldn’t help but whisper a sigh; the Great Whirlpool was somewhat beyond his understanding. Despite seeming dark, the whirlpool stood out distinctly from the surrounding darkness, resembling both darkness and starlit sky.
At this moment, he seemed to understand why Feng Yuan was so cautious. This chaotic feeling would be unbearable without psychological preparation.
"More than one Parallel World!"
Once close to the dark Great Whirlpool, Feng Yuan could see its rough structure clearly: those radiant, star-like dark spheres were individual Parallel Worlds.
Yet, these worlds were bound by some mysterious force, rotating around a center, coupled with a special dark energy ring, forming this bizarre nebula whirlpool.
"The center is odd; this entire area is formed due to that special center. It’s impossible to see the place clearly now; let’s investigate the nearest Parallel World first."
Halting his steps, Feng Yuan spoke out. The others had no objections, or rather, this place was beyond Qiu Hanmo’s imagination, making it difficult for even him to speak recklessly for fear of causing trouble.
No choice; although they hadn’t entered the Parallel World yet, this bizarre phenomenon alone proved to Qi Chen and Yang Hongzhi the perilous nature of this area.
"Tamur, start with Mythical Transformation on them, Agunas, add any blessing effects you have."
Feng Yuan didn’t move immediately; he first whispered instructions to Agunas and the others, raising the Lantern, pointing the top of the long-handled sickle toward the ground, chanting softly.
Although theoretically Yang Hongzhi and the others weren’t entirely without self-defense power, the weaker Qi Chen was on the back of the White Wolf Deity, so safety wasn’t a major concern. Yet, Feng Yuan decided to make further preparations, for the chaotic rules here went beyond his expectations.
The White Wolf Deity let out a long howl, and Agunas and the others used their unique blessing powers to enhance Yang Hongzhi and the rest. The beasts understood how dangerous this place was, and blaming Feng Yuan for bringing people here wouldn’t change it.
Agunas didn’t believe that relying solely on the Divine Beasts and Feng Yuan to rush through would be a wise idea. At times, having more people was always beneficial. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
After preparing, Feng Yuan pointed his sickle towards the nearest dark star, leading everyone into it.
Pale purple waves surged beneath their feet as they entered this Parallel World, appearing in a vast purple ocean. Yet, this purple ocean defied their normal perception.
Though the waves kept surging, the water didn’t wet them even slightly. Oddly, they stood upon the ocean surface.
"Is the concept of land and sea twisted here?"
Staring at the seaweed rooted in the ocean and the towering water plants, Feng Yuan marveled. Veronia, sitting atop a colorful bubble, waved her small hand, and several radiant Golden Crystals bombarded the sea.
Like soil being blasted apart, the mysterious water shattered into foam-like pieces and scattered everywhere. Unlike soil, though, the fragments slowly re-blended into the sea without external influence.
Even the gap Veronia created eventually healed slowly.
"It’s truly a bizarre place."
Looking around, Veronia couldn’t help but say. The environment appeared incredibly strange to everyone: a purple ocean beneath, various marine flora surrounding, a pale yellow sky above, triggering a sense of distortion.
"The rules of this Parallel World are twisted; it’s not a normal Parallel World, yet..."
Speaking up, Feng Yuan raised his head to look to the right front, sensing something peculiar or maybe special about that area.
"Let’s head there. There seems to be something."
Pointing in the direction he perceived, Feng Yuan instructed, with no objections from the group; they were unsure where to begin investigating.
Again, the Divine Beasts shielded the group, and Veronia and Agunas utilized their size advantage to mix into the group for protection.
With no choice, compared to before, they couldn’t simply dive under the ocean surface to defend the bottom. To avoid assaults from below, Agunas and the others had to stay within the group.
"What’s that?"
Watching the combat ahead, Qi Chen and the others were utterly shocked. While approaching, they had guessed there was a battle, but witnessing the scene still left them incredulous.
An ancient fortress stood atop the purple ocean, a pale blue Barrier surrounded the fortress and adjacent land, fragile as an eggshell.
Indeed! The fortress wasn’t on the ocean but the normal grassland, the Barrier seemingly separating two worlds, inside being normal, outside being a chaotic mix.
At the moment, the clash was between various sea creatures and the soldiers within the Barrier.
However, everyone was perplexed by the soldiers’ uniforms, which appeared both ancient and remarkably new.
Additionally, the sea creatures looked bizarre, resembling gourmet sea delicacies coming to life.
"What a strange place. This Parallel World might not have originally been like this?"
Feng Yuan mused while touching his chin, deciding not to let anyone intervene immediately since he wasn’t sure if the people in the fortress were allies.
After contemplating, Feng Yuan resolved to deal with the lively seafood first; such twisted creations weren’t likely to stand on their side, meaning they were destined for destruction.
"Attack! Get rid of these sea creatures!"
The White Wolf Deity howled but didn’t join the battle, instead retreating to the side. Qi Chen and Dou Yanlan immediately commanded their Beast Tamers into action.
With unforeseen events in mind, all the Beast Tamers were active, so upon receiving orders, Ah Mu and the others quickly found optimal positions, commencing their assault on nearby sea creatures.
Veronia hummed softly, spiraling skyward; sparkling Golden Crystals spread around, constructing a golden Crystal Palace.
Agunas turned the pages of its book, the power of time surged, but the influence of the environment significantly reduced its ultimate move’s power.
Like Agunas, Gitalien was also affected by the environment, with Tamur roaring mightily upon witnessing this, making Agunas shocked as its power changed under Tamur’s influence.
Agunas and Gitalien found their ultimate moves weakened due to their reliance on the environment, which in this Parallel World couldn’t supply them strength.
Depending solely on their own powers couldn’t match Veronia, since Veronia’s World of Mirrors was its primary power source; even here, it could still access the strength of its portable World of Mirrors.
Yet, with Tamur’s intervention, Agunas sensed it could summon a different power, one stemming from the Mythical Era, its own power.
