Lin Feng walked slowly inside while sensing their disbelief and shock. This again made him feel like they were real people, these emotions were too real.

Nonetheless, there was still some chance of them being an illusion so he wouldn't completely believe they were real.

"Young man, welcome to our village.."

The elder spoke calmly, looking at how young this boy was, he was even more relaxed about him posing any kind of danger to them.

Lin Feng gave a slight nod, "Do you know that you are the only alive humans in this world?"

Lin Feng didn't waste time in formalities and went directly to the root of their existence in this dimension.

The elder looked at Lin Feng and smiled slightly, "Aren't you one too, young man?"

"Isn't that why you all were a little bit skeptical about how another alive person came to the village?" Lin Feng maintained his calmness.

The elder finally sighed and nodded, "Indeed, come with me young man, let's talk inside that house there, I think you have some destiny with us.."

Lin Feng looked at the house where the elder pointed and nodded, "Alright.."

The house looked very simple, lying at the end of this pathway but that simple house was something he wasn't able to see through.

"Young man, can I ask you something?" the elder's voice was a little heavy.

Lin Feng gave a slight nod, "Go ahead.."

The elder looked at the sky, "What happened to the outer world?"

When Lin Feng heard that, he understood that these people at least knew about being inside a dimension and away from the Central Region.

"The world is fine but the Central Region isn't.."

The elder sighed, "I see.."

"Tell me more about yourself...why do you even need to protect this village when you are the only ones alive here?"

The elder shook his head, "It is true that we are the only alive humans here but there are spirit beasts in the forest too.."

Lin Feng hadn't used his spiritual sense to see through the nearby forest so he hadn't noticed that but he wasn't much surprised knowing about it.

The rising sun, the normal spirit qi density, everything about this dimension is equivalent to the real world.

"Also, you are wrong about one part, it is true that this is the first village inside this world but.." the elder shook his head, "A few generations ago, there were disagreements between some people and they decided to leave and create their own village.

Although they haven't made contact with us for generations and most of us think that they are dead, there is still slightly possibility of them being alive.."

Lin Feng nodded, that was a normal turn of events.

They finally reached the house and the elder opened its gate..

When they entered inside, Lin Feng found that the whole house was just one big hall with a hand crafted stone figure.

There was no face on the statue but Lin Feng didn't even need that to figure out that it was Daoist Karmic.

"This is our guardian, the one who brought us here...alas, he never told his name to our ancestor.." the elder sighed before bowing to the stone figure.

Lin Feng was still confused about this part, why did Daoist Karmic save this village. If he really wanted to save people then he had the capability to save the whole Central Region.

What is he really trying to achieve here or maybe it was really just a fluke and he saved them just because he wanted to, "Elder, do you know anything about why he saved you all.."

The elder nodded, "It's because he took someone as a disciple from our village.."

Lin Feng's eyes widened slightly, this wasn't something he had expected at all. Was this the reason Daoist Karmic came here, it wouldn't be surprising.

Daoist Karmic can definitely do divination to find himself a perfect disciple but if it really was the case then what is this woven fate all about.

If he really was here for a disciple then after achieving his goal, he should have left quietly. Was this all a play just to make sure for him to come here and save these villagers, since he was the only one who could traverse the Central Region..

Lin Feng shook his head internally, he had sensed the intent of desire from Daoist Karmic at the stele. There is definitely something else which he wanted but for some reason couldn't get.

Not to mention, Daoist Karmic himself wouldn't know what kind of disaster the Central Region would go through, so knowing about what kind of difficulties others would face to traverse is not possible.

It was all just fate, an enigma which is very hard to perceive and understand.

The elder was a little surprised seeing Lin Feng's slight change in expression, "Young man, this is the first time I have seen you show some expression...is everything alright?"

The elder didn't know how this young boy would save them and take them out of this dimension but it was meant to happen and something which was divined by their savior who had also divined the destruction of their region, so even if he doubted given how young and weak this boy looked, he was still hopeful.

"I am fine elder.." Lin Feng was really taken a little by surprise hearing about Daoist Karmic taking a disciple as it was a very big deal.

Mighty cultivators like him don't usually take disciples especially those who are immortal in the truest sense. If there are any disciples then it is because they were accepted before reaching the peak.

There was a reason for this, sentiments. Watching your disciple pass away while you remain immortal is not something anyone would want to live through.

This is why he was taken aback when he heard about it. The fact that Daoist Karmic accepted someone as a disciple means he saw something which was beyond ordinary.
