Lin Feng was looking at the jade stone in the hands of the elder, it was a memory jade and there is no doubt that it was something which Daoist Karmic himself left behind.

He hadn't seen any will related to him in this dimension. It wasn't hard for someone like him to leave behind a will but he didn't, although he could somewhat understand why he decided not to do so..

The elder looked at Lin Feng looking at the jade and nodded while passing it towards him, "It is meant for you, take it."

Lin Feng took it but didn't pry inside yet, "I will be back.." he said and disappeared.

The elder was shocked, he wasn't afraid that Lin Feng had run away with the jade as it was meant to be used by the person who is destined with it.

The fact that he was able to touch it without getting harmed is proof that Lin Feng was the person they were waiting for and he would definitely save them.

The reason he was shocked was how he had underestimated him, disappearing in front of him without even creating a slight disturbance in the air is too terrifying in his aspect.

Lin Feng appeared on the mountain peak and sat down on a stone at the edge of a cliff before looking at the memory jade.

Using a memory jade isn't problematic but if it belongs to someone like Daoist Karmic then it is far more than just problematic.

He calmed his mind, usually he wasn't afraid of anyone affecting him in an unusual way but it's very different when the person whom he was going against is a true Immortal.

A memory jade contains information which he could see through by placing this jade on his forehead but since it enters directly inside his mind, it can also affect him by controlling him against his own will if the person who created this jade wants to do so.

Nonetheless, the one thing he always believed in was his will so he was prepared to go through it.

Let's see what Daoist Karmic was really trying to do in this lower world..

Lin Feng gave one last look at the memory jade and placed it on his forehead and the moment he did so...his consciousness faded.

A new memory started to take place in his mind, a man wearing a simple silk robe appeared in his thoughts..

This man looked very young, almost in his late twenties and had a very calm and gentle expression on his ordinary looking face.

It was none other than Daoist Karmic. Lin Feng had never seen him before but he was certain it was the case. Just looking at him made him waver slightly.

He felt an immense will to submit and this was what he was afraid of, he just didn't know if it was something Daoist Karmic had done consciously or unconsciously.

Nonetheless, he used his own immense will to suppress this urge and waited for it to end. As he thought that, the first words left Daoist Karmic's lips.

The fact that you have reached this place means you are capable enough to do a favor for me.

It isn't something hard for you and if you do it then I will definitely repay this favor and believe me, it will be beyond your imagination.

So here is the thing, you must have gotten two treasures with you, one is a pavilion and the other is a compass. I don't know if you know this but those treasures are from this inheritance site itself.

They serve a single purpose, to open a safe passage inside this dimension.

If you place them exactly at the same place where the stele is outside, a stable rift to leave this place will appear. Take the villagers outside and give them a safe haven to stay..that is all.

The memory faded away and Lin Feng opened his eyes. He was totally confused right now.

Was Daoist Karmic really trying to save the villagers only? What is the intent of desire he felt on the stele then?

He looked at the sky, particularly at the boundary of this dimension.

The boundary looked stable but it really was under strain. Even though Daoist Karmic didn't know what had happened in the Central Region, he still created as stable a dimension as he could.

Even when his dimension is rooted to the stele which is not affected by the tears in space, the whole void in the Central Region is highly unstable.

So no matter what, this dimension which cannot be created highly stable in first place due to weak laws of this lower world , would collapse with enough disturbances.

This is also one of the reasons why this dimension didn't have concentrated qi or any other high grade treasures.

Even his presence here had put stress on the boundary.

This would also explain why the fate treasures weren't put inside here in the first place, instead they were woven in fate to come here at the right time.
