Elven Encounter With A Blood Seeker
Chapter 407: Blood Donations
Aselia was completely taken aback by the information. She discussed it with Esma because a vampire’s anatomy worked differently from those of hounds. Vampires needed blood for their survival but hounds didn’t.
It was highly likely that her blood won’t work on him. They also didn’t want to involve the doctors in this. It was too risky. But they were desperate so Esma asked Aselia to give him a few drops of her blood just to see what happens.
Frila brought a syringe and helped Aselia extract a syringe full of her blood and with the help of a spoon, Esma fed it to her son, as if it was some elixir of life.
At that point, Aselia didn’t care how much she had to give him and she ignored the dizziness she had been experiencing because of the loss of so much of her blood.
"I hope this works," Aselia murmured, placing her hand on Esma’s shoulder and standing behind her.
"It will, I have full faith in you, my dear," Esma patted her hand. Frila sat on the other side of Yurian, worries lining her face as she stared at him.
All three women waited, holding their breaths and soon Yurain stirred and his eyes shot open.
"My boy, my beautiful boy," Esma shrieked, almost hysterical and his eyes found his mother. Aselia stood behind her with a beaming smile. Frila rushed out to call the doctor.
"Mom," he called out meekly as she rushed to him and kissed him. Tears of happiness rolled down her cheeks, seeing her son wake up as she lovingly caressed his face.
"Partner!" his eyes landed on Aselia and for a second his heart skipped a beat seeing her condition.
"Yuri! Welcome back," she affectionately whispered to him.
"I am sorry," his heart burdened and eyes welled up.
"Shh! It’s ok, everything is fine now. Get some rest we will talk in detail once you are better," she gently squeezed his hand.
The door opened, and a doctor and nurse arrived with Frila. The doctor seemed surprised but asked them to give him the room so he could inspect Yurian. The ladies left the room and filed outside. Esma gathered Aselia in a tight hug.
"Thank you for bringing my son back," her words were choking in her throat, she was too emotional.
"I did nothing, Esma," Aselia was feeling giddy, all the emotional turmoil was finally getting to her as her head began to spin and her hand went to it.
"What’s wrong?" Frila quickly asked, seeing her pained face. Esma rubbed her back in concern.
The dizziness increased and her vision blackened, her eyes closed as she lost consciousness. Frila caught her before she could hit the ground.
"Leia?" Esma thumped her cheek, seeming horrified, and her heart pounded in her chest.
"I have to call Señor," Frila fished her phone out from her pocket while holding Aselia and called Xiran.
Xiran arrived within seconds and almost snatched her from Frila’s grip before fuming.
"What happened to her?" He held her in his arms and hugged her closer to his chest. His face contorted in anger that they could feel his fury. Esma watched in confusion.
"She was fine one second and then felt dizzy and fainted," Frila reluctantly answered.
"She has lost too much blood, just as I feared. I am taking her to Emergency. Call Rumail and Zirius, and tell them we require elven blood for Aselia. Hurry," he ordered and rushed past them with Aselia in his arms.
His heartbeats went frantic as he rushed her into the Emergency and asked for a doctor. He had feared that she would collapse and he was sure this small hospital wouldn’t have elven blood.
His world all but came crashing down as they took her from his arms and closed the emergency door, leaving him standing there empty and lost.
Rivan, Frila and Esma soon joined him when a nurse stepped out to ask a few questions about her injuries.
"We would like to know what we are dealing with. So who is her family and if anyone can tell us anything about her condition? Because if it’s a rape case then we will have to involve the police, seeing her injuries it’s evident that she was assaulted," the nurse inquisitively asked with a pad and pen in her hands.
"I am her family and it’s not a rape case. But she was assaulted by vampires and they drank her blood so her condition might be due to the blood loss," Xiran quickly answered before anyone could and Esma drew in a sharp breath before staggering back. Frila quickly held her by the waist and stabilised her.
"I understand, what is your relationship with the patient? Because if it will come down to difficult decisions we need to know who is in charge of it," she asked again.
"I am her boyfriend and I am in charge of everything related to her," Xiran added in a grim tone, his jaw tightening with every second.
Esma stared at the man in astonishment not understanding what was happening but she spoke with determination:
"And I am her mother and I am of elven descent. So if you need blood, I am here. Test mine against hers."
"Please, stay nearby. As soon as the doctor completes the diagnosis and in case we need blood, I will have to call you," the nurse nodded at them before taking her leave to inform the doctor.
Xiran turned his attention to the petite woman Frila was holding and she was already watching him with keen interest. He had no clue that Yurian’s mother was from an elven lineage.
"Who are you?" She asked him with scrutinized eyes.
"Like I told the nurse, her boyfriend," Xiran dryly answered.
"She has been living with me for the past one year, she doesn’t have a boyfriend. Unless we include that lying ass Jaguar. I never saw you before, how can you be," she asked, feeling protective of Aselia.
"There is a lot you don’t know," Xiran felt irked at the mention of Jaguar. His eyes were all but stormy clouds sending forward small jolts of electric bolts.
"Enlighten me then because she is my daughter now," her voice was raised and Rivan could sense a fight breaking out, so he interjected.
"Frila, why don’t you take ma’am outside for some water and explain a bit? It’s not wise to raise our voices here," Frila nodded and guided Esma outside where the waiting area was. Once the older woman was settled down and comfortable enough Frila began:
"Señor is telling the truth, but the situation is complicated as Leia said. Please trust him on this, he will not let any harm come to her. It’s he who rescued her from those vampires and believe me when I say this, no one can love our Leia the way Señor does."
"But it doesn’t make sense. She was alone and she never for once mentioned him. If he is who he claims to be, why was she seeking a relationship?" Esma was so utterly confused that her forehead furrowed and she pinched the bridge of her nose. Frila sighed, she didn’t want to reveal his powers but she had no choice or the situation would escalate.
"He is a very powerful vampire and he possesses the ability to take away people’s memories. That’s what he did with Leia because his existence was turning out to be a permanent danger to her. His father wanted to hunt her down. So he took away her memories and sent her away just to keep her safe."
"Oh! Ohhh! That explains so much," Esma covered her mouth with her hands in astonishment. Her heart began to beat faster, now she understood why Leia seemed so lost at times, why she had terrible nightmares and trouble sleeping, and why she was never able to accept Jaguar. Her heart belonged to someone else and she was sure they shared a bond.
"Yes, it was Señor’s father who took her away. Señor rescued her and all the culprits are dead, including Señor’s evil father and brother. So have faith in him, he will always keep our Leia safe," she offered a small smile to Esma.
"He did that for her?" she asked, astonished and Frila nodded with a smile.
"And I am guessing you are related to him too and talked to my son to report back to him about Leia," Esma continued to drive conclusions.
"Yes, ma’am, Yurian was the link that connected us at that time. We can’t be thankful enough to him and you people for keeping her safe. Señor is pretty devastated right now or he would have offered his gratitude. Just give him time and I am sure you will warm up to him."
"Yes, the way he stared at Leia earlier and how he reacted when she fainted told me he had some deep feelings for her. Does Leia reciprocate them?" Esma asked, holding her breath.
"She does," a warm smile spread on Frila’s face and Esma felt a sense of relief at her words. The nurse from earlier arrived and asked Esma to follow her to the lab so her blood could be matched because Aselia needed blood.
Esma and Frila silently got up and left for the lab.
