Esma’s blood was tested and it matched. They extracted it and Aselia was given a transfusion. Her wounds had been infected, she was extremely dehydrated and her body had lost a lot of blood so the doctor advised a lot of resting.

Xiran stayed with her while Rivan returned to Fritez City. Zirius arrived with fresh elven blood and it was also given to Aselia after being tested.

Yurian was healed and all his test results revealed he was healthy, so doctors discharged him.

Esma, Razian, Yurian and Frila went home. Although Yurian wanted to see Aselia, the doctor had strictly forbidden anyone from disturbing her, so he refrained.

Esma wanted to stay behind but Xiran convinced her that Yurian will be needing her more as he was still recovering. So only Zirius and Xiran stayed behind with Aselia, while Esma and Frila frequently visited with food and blood for Xiran.

Zirius also detailed him about the failed attack Phantom’s men tried on Fritez. Amonidus had sent over his forces to aid so they were ready, unlike last time there were no heavy losses. They had everything under control.

"Thank you for killing him, I can’t even tell you how happy Arimie is," Zirius beamed.

"It was Aselia who dealt the final blow to him but yes I am glad we are dawning into a new era. A time when people will feel safer than they do right now," Xiran answered, hoping that he could spend the rest of his life with her as he had always dreamt of.

"I am sure we will. Arimie and I have decided to get married soon, now that he is permanently gone I don’t see the need to delay it," Zirius broke the news and Xiran felt immense satisfaction.

"That’s fantastic news, congratulations," he gave the boy a hug who had been there for him in his dark time.

"Thank you and I would love for all of you to be a part of it."

"We will be," Xiran patted his shoulder. They talked some more and the Zirius requested:

"You should go to Yurian’s house and change, I brought you fresh clothes. I will stay here with White Falcon and will call you if she wakes up."

Xiran hadn’t changed in days but he didn’t want to leave her alone even for a second. Seeing his conflicted eyes Zirius spoke again:

"I will keep her safe."

"I know, but I want to stay with her, I will just change in the bathroom here," Xiran answered.

"Ok, let me know if you need anything. I will take a walk outside to breathe in some fresh air," Zirius got up and left while Xiran went to Aselia’s room and sat down beside her. She seemed so fragile but was sleeping calmly for now. He placed her hand on her arm and just sat there affectionately staring at her.

Her intoxicating smell had changed due to the different types of blood in her system and all the medicines and antibiotics they had been injecting her with.

Her wounds were healing though and all he wanted was for her to recover. Physically she would, he wasn’t sure about the emotional state. Xiran had decided he would convince her to talk to a psychiatrist, he was confident he himself needed one after all that went down.

After two days doctors reduced her dosage of sedatives and she finally opened her eyes.

"Hey, beautiful! How are you feeling?" Xiran’s voice was the first sound which reached her ears. She tilted her head and found him sitting beside her, holding her hand. He held a small smile but his appearance was dishevelled, revealing he hadn’t slept in ages.

"Drowsy and sleepy," she murmured.

"Yes, doctors wanted you to rest as much as you could," he explained, leaning forward and brushing some hair away from her face.

"I am hungry," she protested, trying to sit up.

"Wait!" he got up and straightened her bed with the lever so Aselia could sit comfortably.

"Esma brought some food, let me heat it for you," Xiran then heated the chicken soup and brought it to her in a bowl, sitting beside her asked:

"Can I feed you?" a longing could be seen in his mesmerising eyes and Aselia knew it would be futile to argue with him, besides she had no strength, so she simply nodded.

His face brightened up like a morning sun and he began feeding her the hot soup and she relished in the taste.

"Did you eat something?" she questioned.

"I did," he gave her a spoonful and she quietly ate after that.

Zirius met up with her after she finished her soup and he was extremely delighted.

"So good to have you back, White Falcon. It wasn’t the same with you not being part of the team," he started with his boyish grin.

"Thank you, Agent 93," she answered as Xiran put away the utensils.

"I found my Arimie," he then went on to tell her about the attack and Aselia listened intently.

"That’s wonderful news and now he will never hurt you people again. I ensured it," her eyes sparkled as she thought of that moment again.

"Thank you," he offered his gratitude, his broad smile saying it all.

Aselia was discharged the following day and they went to Yurian’s house. Everyone was waiting for her in the living room. Esma and Razian gave her warm hugs, their radiant smiles speaking of the affection they held for her.

Rony jumped on her and licked her face until it was soggy, his tail wagging and his happy barks resonating in the house.

And then Yurian walked out of his room. Seeming fresh and healthy and he embraced her as they hugged and cried together. They had almost lost each other. Esma dabbed her eyes as her husband held her. Happy tears were shed all around.

Xiran and Frila kept their distance, letting them have this beautiful moment.

"I thought we were done for when he walked into our house," Yurian groaned, holding Aselia by her shoulders.

"That nightmare is over now Yuri and I can’t tell you how happy I am to see you safe and sound. I kept asking that monster what he did to you and he wouldn’t tell me, my heart broke again and again assuming the worst," Aselia sniffled, remembering and hating those torturous memories which were about to haunt her forever.

"I am not going to leave you so easily, I still have to annoy you for many years to come," he sheepishly added, making everyone laugh.

"Come, please sit," Esma offered to Xiran and Frila and they settled down on the sofas.

"I need to change, I stink," Aselia told everyone and excused herself.

Esma offered drinks to the guests while Rony slightly barked at Xiran, baring his teeth, making Xiran laugh and say:

"You still haven’t forgiven me, buddy? Huh!"

"He doesn’t seem very taken with you," Razian remarked.

"Yes, he saw me making her cry and since then he hates me. Considering I am the one who bought him for her, it’s ironic," Xiran added, keeping his eyes on Rony and ushering him towards him but he refused to obey and just barked some more at him.

"You were a di*k, serves you right," Yurian nonchalantly added, shrugging his shoulders and Xiran laughed.

"You are right but I am going to rewrite my mistakes."

"Good luck, that’s not going to be easy, considering it’s her we are talking about," Yurian took a sip of the drink Esma had prepared and Xiran briefly smiled.

"I know and I am up for the task," Esma could see the determination and love the man held for Leia and she knew he would always cherish and protect her. She was in safe hands, he had positive vibes oozing off him.

"Are you going to take her away with you?" Esma questioned, her heart plunging. They had gotten so used to Aselia, that even the thought hurt her.

"I am, the only reason we were apart is gone now. I see no point in her staying away from me anymore," Xiran tapped his fingers on his left knee.

"You should talk to her first, and ensure it’s what she wants too," Razian spoke up, hoping she wouldn’t leave them. The mere thought was causing them a profound amount of anguish.

"I will do that and thank you for taking care of her and keeping her safe. She truly found a home here and I can see she is genuinely happy. If there is anything I ever can do to repay, which I know I can’t. Still, let me know," Xiran offered them the best of his smiles.

"Just take care of our Leia, don’t hurt her or I will hunt you down," Esma spoke with an impending threat and Xiran had to stifle a chuckle, he loved how protective they were of her.

"I would never hurt her, that’s my promise," he got up, placing the empty glass on the table, "I will go speak to her now about our departure. Frila be ready shortly," she nodded as he strode towards Aselia’s room.

He knocked but there was no response and knew she must be bathing. He tilted the doorknob and entered, slowly closing the door behind him and turning, his eyes widened at the view in front of him.
