Chapter 468: What Ails Her?

Aselia was suddenly feeling extra emotional, all she wanted to do was sit and cry.

"Mom and Dad will bring Rony with them and let him stay with you for a while," Yurian consoled her, seeing her get all emotional.

"Yes, I would like that very much. So, tell me what did I miss in the last seven months?" she questioned, holding back her tears.

"Hmm, so I moved here and have taken over the hunter base of Fritez. You are the one reason and the other is Frila. I think...ummm... I am in love with her but don’t know how to approach the subject," he shyly answered, his cheeks almost turning slightly pink.

"Yuri!!! I am overjoyed to hear this. Frila is the sweetest girl I have ever met and the two of you will be perfect together," Aselia gently squeezed his hands, feeling ecstatic at his truth.

"Yes, help me out because I don’t want to offend her or drive her away," Yurian pleaded.

"I will. Let me prepare her mind a bit. Don’t worry I got your back and I brought you something," she advanced to the satchels they had brought along and fished out a small container with a lid. A pearly white liquid shimmered in it.

Handing it over to him Aselia explained the properties of the pearly white elixir of life and Yurian was stunned. He stared at the elixir in his hand with widened eyes.

"Keep it safe, Yuri. I hope one day she will reflect your feelings and you can drink it with her to prong your life," she winked and closed his wide open mouth with her finger.

"You drank it too?" he inquired, extremely befuddled and she affirmed it with a swift movement of her head and a sly smile.

A swift knock on the door diverted their attention as Frila entered.

"Guys, Señor is asking both of you to join them at the dining table. Come eat something."

They halted their secret talk and followed Frila out. Aselia greeted Rivan as they settled around the table.

"How are you feeling now?" Xiran concernedly asked, gently taking her hand in his.

"A bit better but still nauseated," Aselia answered. Frila offered her a glass of orange juice. She had requested Frila to bring her one.

"Drink this, you will feel better," Frila’s calming words had Aselia nodding at her and she began to sip the juice.

"Congratulations on the ceremony. But we need a proper wedding for both of you. I am still pissed I didn’t get to make your attires," Rivan nonchalantly added, making everyone laugh.

"Thank you. We are planning to have one soon and you will be in charge of the dresses, don’t worry," Aselia gleefully answered.

"I would like to see the dresses though. Xiran told me you people have brought them along. The style and material used are literally out of this world," Rivan was very inquisitive to learn about them and see if he could incorporate some details into his designs.

"Sure, I will pack them so you can take them along."

The conversation then shifted to Tromalius. The three of them were very intrigued to learn everything about the new planet and the loving duo was more than happy to indulge in the details and the magical time they had spent there.

They stayed till late at night. Rivan returned their phones and promised to bring Irlana to meet them the next day. Yurian’s parents also planned to visit in the same week while so did the others, once both of them had settled back down.

Aselia and Frila took out the dresses from the satchel and packed them so Rivan could take them along.

"What a beautiful gown this is. You must have looked like a princess, Aselia. I wish I could have seen you in this," Frila held the material between her fingers and felt the softness it held.

"I will wear it for you sometime and we can have a photo session," Aselia suggested and Frila’s face brightened in the joy her words brought her.

Aselia also showed her the ring and other exquisite pieces of jewellery that had been gifted to her. She had brought a pendant for Frila which had a glittering white gemstone embedded into it.

"Here, this is for you Frila. Thank you for being a wonderful friend to me," Aselia handed her the box and Frila was bewildered seeing it.

"Aselia, you didn’t have to," she took it with trembling hands and opened it to reveal the breathtakingly beautiful pendant.

"Yes, I did and I want you to be happy, Frila. You deserve to be," Aselia lovingly squeezed her shoulder. She was trying to make up Frila’s mind, step by step, so she would be more open about letting Yurian in and consider him, romantically.

"I love this, Aselia. I will always cherish this gift," she took out the pendant from the box and held it in her hands. Her eyes glistened at the intricate patterns and swirling ethereal qualities of stars and nebulas of the gemstone, creating a captivating visual effect. It was unique and elegant.

"I am glad you did," Aselia answered as they finished packing both outfits and took them outside before handing them over to Rivan.

"I will take good care of them and return them as soon as possible," Rivan promised.

Yurian, Frila and Rivan were ready to leave. Rivan gave them some exciting news before his departure.

"Rubisha gave birth to a baby boy and Sohlia gave birth to a baby girl. Both kids are healthy, just wanted you to know in case Sohlia tries something funny."

Aselia had no clue that Sohlia had been expecting. Xiran didn’t want her to drown in guilt so he hadn’t told her about this.

"I will call Silver and Rubisha to congratulate them. And Sohlia? That must be Xifin’s baby," Aselia slowly added, not sure what to say.

"Seems like it, you people needn’t fret too much. And don’t let her use that baby to gain any favours. You people don’t owe her," Rivan specifically addressed his friend, knowing he was naive enough to fall for her evil tricks.

"We won’t," Xiran firmly answered with a distant look in his eyes.

Rivan, Frila and Yurian called it night, leaving the couple to have some rest before they would be flooded with guests the next day for everyone was dying to meet them and listen to their adventures.

Xiran led Aselia to their bedroom and inquired: "How is that nausea? Do you want to eat something?"

"It’s better and no. I just want to get some sleep," she slipped under the covers where Xiran soon joined her.

"You are being quiet? Talk to me," he propped himself on his elbow and peeked at her worried ladden face.

"I can’t help but think that child is going to grow up hating us. We took away her father. I feel horrible, Xiran," she heavily exhaled. Aselia couldn’t help but think about her childhood and how she had grown up fixating and loathing the man who killed her parents. It almost destroyed her life for she couldn’t let go of that revenge.

"Leia! We can’t change what has happened. And if it meant keeping you safe I would still do it. But I have decided to be involved in that little girl’s life. We will show her we are not monsters but her family," he took her hand and grazed his lips on her knuckles.

"Will Sohlia let you be involved?" Aselia’s questioning eyes found his turbulent ones.

"She will. Trust me on this," he answered and Aselia nodded.

"I trust you. You are so patient and amazing with kids," she heartily smiled at him.

"How do you know that?"

"I remember the time you rescued me. I want you to remember that too. Take the serum so we can cherish that moment forever," she leaned in and kissed his cheek, remembering how gentle he was with her back then.

"Ah! That’s certainly one memory I want my brain to revert to," he added, tucking her close to his heat.

"Once we are free, I would like to take you somewhere," Xiran wished to take her to the orphanage. He knew the kids must be missing him, thinking he had abandoned them when that was not the case. He also wanted them to meet Aselia, especially that little Femoris girl.

"I will go wherever you will take me," she promised, closing her eyes, his masculine scent hitting her in torrents. It was sharper than it had ever been and she snuggled closer to him, feeling fatigued all of a sudden.

Soon, she was snoring as if she hadn’t slept for days and Xiran watched her perplexed. She had never fallen asleep so quickly. He didn’t disturb her any further and let her rest. He himself drifted off after a while.

Xiran woke up to her retching in the washroom again. Within seconds he was out of bed and rushing behind her. She was slumped on the floor, clutching her stomach, vomiting her insides out.

He was sure she hadn’t even eaten anything, why was she vomiting again? Deep lines appeared on his forehead, not liking this one per cent.

"Leia!" He swept away her hair and tenderly held her.

"Xiran, I don’t feel good," she complained, wiping her face with the back of her hand.

"Come, let me wash you and we are going to the doctor," Xiran flushed the toilet and carried her in his arms. Her body seemed loose as if she had been drained.

He gradually stood her up and removed her nightdress before turning on the shower to wash her. She leaned on him and sighed, as he bathed her. His mind reeled and narrowed the possibilities of what might be ailing her. And it frightened him for she wouldn’t like it if it was what he thought it was.
