Endless Extraction in a Game-Like World
Chapter 159: Level 21 Capped! +5 Permanent Combat Score, Synthesizing the Mythical Cave Loot
"Now that we are back, I think it’s time we check out our rewards," Caelus suggested.
Sylvia nodded at him.
The first was the Level Up Card. This was the reward for completing the God Domain fragment.
[Level Up Card (???,???): Use this to instantly reach the cap of your level.]
"Oh wow." Caelus and Sylvia were completely stunned.
Reach the cap? Isn’t that a good thing?
They still had the Silver Rank Ascension Token with them, since it was the angel of the Holy Faction that had allowed them to ascend.
In a way, they benefited from the Holy Church, but the Holy Church didn’t benefit from them at all.
He used Divine Duplication on it, but it didn’t work. Sighing, they immediately activated the card.
Their levels immediately shot up to 21.
The combat score, however, remained the exact same.
Then, his eyes fell onto the gacha pulls. He had 10 of them in total!
His mouth couldn’t help but curl up into a grin.
Sylvia liked storing her pulls to use them later, but he used whatever he got immediately. For some reason, no matter how many times he lost, he always got excited seeing the gacha animation.
He was the exact target audience for this wheel created by the Origin Network.
He swiftly used the 10x gacha pulls in pure anticipation.
[Ding! You have obtained: 100 Origin Credits.]
[Ding! You have obtained: 10,000 Origin Credits.]
[Ding! You have obtained: Profession EXP Card (Mythical).]
[Ding! You have obtained: Profession EXP Card (Mythical).]
[Ding! You have obtained nothing.]
[Ding! You have obtained nothing.]...
With each passing pull, Caelus’s face grew darker and darker. He literally did not know what to say.
Was his luck trash? Was he trash, or did the network consider him trash?
It couldn’t be the last one. The Origin Network was basically his sugar daddy, swooping in to rescue him whenever he was in danger.
It must just be a skill issue on his part.
How else was he landing on absolutely nothing repeatedly?
But just then, his face froze. It quickly twisted into excitement as a new notification formed.
[Ding! You have obtained: Material Synthesizer (Mythical).]
"Oh?!" Caelus jumped in excitement, earning a confused look from Sylvia.
He didn’t keep her waiting and immediately shared the source of his joy.
[Material Synthesizer (Mythical): A mythical item of legends. It is a dispenser that, when fed three items of a lower tier, yields a higher tier material.]
"We can synthesize the silver ores then," Sylvia said with a small smile.
That wasn’t all. They could use it on beast materials and other items as well.
"Damn. Didn’t I just think about getting a material synthesizer back in the cave?" Caelus was completely baffled.
The Origin Network really was his sugar daddy! It actually listened to him!
Was it perhaps attracted to him, outright granting his wishes like this?
But now was the time to synthesize. He began dropping in all the ores he had accumulated from the cave.
[Ding! Synthesizing in progress.]
[You have received a Tier 10 Mana Ore from 3x Tier 9 Mana Ore.]
Tier 10 was Gold I.
But he didn’t stop there. He kept going until he finished up all the ores from the cave.
In the end, he was left with roughly 45 Mythical-grade Tier 10 ores.
They were Mythical because all the Tier 9 Silver III ores he had extracted from the cave resulted in Mythical grades to begin with.
With the gold secured, it was time to move on to the last reward from the God Domain fragment.
Reputation tokens. One hundred of them!
Reputation points were the absolute building blocks of a faction. They made life easier and, most importantly, were used to create benefits and unlock powerful faction features.
Now that he had reached 1,000 reputation points, he could finally unlock things.
But before that, he wanted to roll on the faction gacha wheel to see if he could get a Benefit Creator again. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
Benefits were great, but they weren’t invincible.
For example, while he could use them to gain domain updates, he couldn’t use them to instantly push his aura rank to 20.
Giving an unreasonable request like "at level 20 of faction, I will directly get aura rank 50" wouldn’t work. Hence, he needed to be clever with it.
For now, he planned on making a benefit that automatically adjusted new professions to the player’s current rank.
That way, things would be much easier, encouraging his faction’s players to pick up more professions, which made everything better for him overall.
First, it was time to duplicate the tokens to get more out of them.
He was going to spam it like his life depended on it.
Divine Duplication!
[1x Multiplier]
Divine Duplication!
[10x Multiplier]
Divine Duplication!

Divine Duplication!

Divine Duplication!

In the end, he was left with 250 reputation tokens. He grinned.
He did the exact same to Sylvia’s stack, multiplying hers to 210.
They used them all.
Caelus’s reputation points soared from 905 to 1,155, and Sylvia’s went from 1,110 to 1,320.
Soon after, Caelus opened the faction window.
[Ding! You have an unclaimed combat score.]
"Oh, right," Caelus nodded.
He had totally forgotten about the combat score he was supposed to receive from the faction.
He had leveled up several times, so the combat score kit should give him the accumulated stats.
[Ding! You have obtained +5 Permanent Combat Score.]
[Combat Score: 1.09 (Gold I) -> 6.09]
The Origin Domain’s power surged forth, refining his body to new heights.
With that done, he rolled the gacha.
The first spin landed on a Custom Title Creator. Caelus placed it in his inventory and continued rolling.
He got a second Custom Title Creator on the very next spin.
"Is the system telling me to make more titles?" Caelus nodded. He definitely needed to do that.
Soon, he rolled for the third time. His face immediately beamed.
"YES! I love gacha!"
It landed on a Benefit Creator. It was the restricted one, but it was still a creator.
[You have obtained: Restricted Benefit Creator.]
[Condition: The total system cost of the created benefit cannot exceed 2,000 Reputation Points, or this ticket will become void.]
This time, the reputation point threshold was slightly higher than before.
This was exactly what he needed.
Without wasting time, he swiftly wrote down the new benefit.
[Benefit: If a player acquires a new profession, it will automatically reach their own life rank.]
[Authorization Approved. This can be executed.]
Caelus heaved a heavy sigh of relief seeing the authorization approval. This meant it could actually be used.
[Calculating Total Cost...]
[-100 Platform Fee]
[-50 Benefit Creation Usage Charge]
[-10 Authorization Fee]
[-1,500 Benefit Implementation Fee]
Every time Caelus saw the absurd platform fees they took, he wanted to curse.
But it wasn’t too bad. At least there weren’t any extra tax fees. If there were, he would probably crash out right now.
With that benefit acquired, he moved on to title creation.
However, just before he could start, his phone rang.
It was from Old Man Welt.
"I got some news on something good. All the people of the Solaris Kingdom are joining forces to get it."
"Oh?" Caelus looked surprised. "What is it?"
"It’s an item."
