As for the condensed wind lake—it lost its only importance of increased wind concepts comprehension when they got the metals themselves for that, so they left it behind without much hesitation.

And as for the traces of the Calamitous Energy Clementine had felt, after a bit more investigation, she confirmed her suspicion. It was the start of the creation of a new calamity here, but now with them taking away the energy source that would’ve fed its creation, it probably had no chance of coming to life anymore.

The unborn beast was a candle snuffed out before it could ever flicker.

... ... ... ... ...

On reaching the ground... 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

Clementine suggested something else instead of finding a calamity to test her little sisters’ new elements and their Elemental Powers. "How about you two spar with me?" she suggested with a challenge. "I’d like to see how much stronger you have become after your recent evolutions," she added, smiling.

Aphryne and Auguszta exchanged a glance, clearly surprised by their big sister’s words. "Well, I don’t mind," Auguszta readily agreed. "I also want to see how strong I’ve become. Let’s see if you can defeat me as quickly as before, big sis Clementine!" she challenged boldly.

"Let’s see," Clementine nodded, her lips arched. Her attention shifted to Aphryne. "What about you, little sister? Do you not want to fight me?" she taunted playfully.

"No!" Aphryne shook her head firmly. "I don’t want to embarrass myself before husband, big sis. I’ll fight you some other time because I know I’m not strong enough to defeat you as I am now," she smiled.

UH!

"Well?" Clementine blinked. "Understood," she nodded and focused on Auguszta again. "Let’s move a bit further from here. In an even more open space."

The three nodded at the suggestion.

Soon they came to a stop quite far from the cave, about a 1000 meters. Again, as there was such less flora here, this treeless area was a perfect place if one wanted to have a good spar without worrying about collateral damage.

"Okay, before we begin, can you brief me about a bit of what your new element is and can do? Also your Elemental Power too, like its functions, traits, effects, etc."

Auguszta paused, going into a deep contemplative state. Like a scholar searching through the ancient scrolls of her own mind.

The information was there, however, it still took a few minutes for her to come to a basic understanding of what her new elements could do. She refocused on Clementine and opened her mouth.

"The name of my new Elemental Power is <Varkyros>," Auguszta voiced clearly.

"Meaning—Cinders of Contradictory Limitation. It is a flame-type elemental power just like my main element Burningblight, which is also a flame despite its destructive, decaying, and poisonous nature, though its core nature has shifted more towards corruption now!"

"Varkyros is a complex element much more powerful than mine. The flames carry within themselves the conceptual powers of contradiction and limitations, but it is neither a Law nor a Concept. As an Elemental Power, it works on a completely different system altogether. Meaning even as I am, I’m fully capable of utilizing the two without feeling much resistance, neither from them nor the world, though the scale of what it can do as of now is also limited."

"However, as a flame exclusive to me and closely connected to me, it will grow stronger along with its effects and distinctive traits as I become strong too!"

"My~!" Clementine raised her brows. "Little sister Auguszta got a flame elemental power born on the foundation of two powerful Utmost Laws! How truly fortunate; even I don’t have something like that. Well, I didn’t have it previously, but you are still making this big sister jealous, you know," she complained playfully, her lips arched.

"Can you tell me what Varkyros can do?"

"Heh!" Auguszta smirked confidently. "Don’t worry, big sister; you will eventually find out what it can do when we battle."

"Confident, are we?" Clementine chuckled, certainly amused by her attitude. "How about this: as a good sister, I’ll let you make the first move."

"I’ll gladly accept the offer, good big sister," Auguszta voiced. Immediately she activated her ability—[Blightflare Devastation]. This was amplified by her passive ability—[Thermal Empowerment] which increases her flames’ offensive and defensive capabilities exponentially.

With her index finger pointing towards Clementine, she compressed a red-black sphere of Burningblight and released it forward.

BOOOM!

The sphere of compressed flames shot forward at an unimaginable speed, arriving before Clementine in a blink. Clementine used the palm of her hand to catch the sphere, which detonated on impact.

BOOOOOOM! TREMBLE!

The red-black flames raged. The ground cracked. The temperature rose incredibly. The impact was a volcanic eruption held in the palm of a hand.

However, through one of Burningblight’s new traits, Auguszta was now perfectly capable of controlling where it spread masterfully, preventing unwanted destruction. And since she knew that her husband and sister were watching, with a simple command from her head, the infernal flames immediately halted their spread, keeping the immolating heat contained.

"These flames...!" Clementine muttered.

The ground—meters upon meters—was burning in red-black, with a red-haired woman standing at the center of it, observing her hand. Her eyes narrowed when she saw the corruptive rot spreading through her skin.

Her natural regenerative abilities were now working against her. The corruption made the regeneration recreate the decay instead of her wounds after all.

These flames were like a disease. They were also burning her from within, destabilizing her energy channels, igniting her muscles, and feeding on her vitality, the surrounding heat, and the natural energy to grow stronger with each passing second. The blight was a parasite, feasting on the very life it meant to destroy.

Evidently, the Flames of Burningblight were truly something worthy of being wielded by a Calamity!

Capable of even corrupting her energy. Well, they would’ve been if she too was a pureblood normal existence, but she was not. Let’s not even mention her own corruption; the quality of her existence (matter, energy, and information) was simply way too superior compared to Auguszta’s.

In other words, with a simple thought from her side, all the effects of the element [Burningblight] were rendered useless.

The flames on her body vanished without a trace along with the ones in her immediate surroundings.

At the same time, Clementine also reactivated the passive sub-ability effect one—[Blood Harmony Absolute]—of her ability effect two—[Pride Throne: Hemarch Dominion]—of her absolute ability—[Blood Queen’s Quintessence!]

What it did was simple—it had an absolute suppression effect on anyone who had blood lower than hers, a 100 percent suppression on existences who had an equal tier blood, and 50 percent on individuals who had a higher blood than hers, regardless of their race, numbers, or any other factors.

It was an absurdly strong ability and had an immediate effect.

Auguszta became paralyzed.

Her body trembled.

Her eyes widened as she looked at her big sister, but this time with fear. A deep primal fear that came from her very blood. It roared at her to bow down—and she did. Her head lowered. It roared at her to kneel—and she did, falling on her knees. Like a leaf caught in the crushing weight of a winter gale.
