Chapter 85: Ch-: vs Black Church (6)
The soldiers, who had regained some hope upon seeing the Captain rush to their aid, now wore expressions of disbelief as they watched the massive lightning axe hit the ground, engulfing him in the explosion.
A cloud of dust, hundreds of meters high, rose into the sky like a white dragon, blurring everyone’s vision.
Gulp
The soldiers swallowed hard as they wiped the sweat from their foreheads and started speaking in grim tones.
"Heavens, such a terrifying attack..."
"Is the Captain even alive?"
"Even if he is, he must be severely injured... do you think we should escape?"
"Escape? Do you think we can? They will never let us leave."
Amber opened and closed her mouth as if she wanted to say something, but the shock was so overwhelming that no words came out. Even for someone like her, who had seen him use his bloodline to create Black Serpents, the scene before her was beyond comprehension.
’I did not expect him to have such an ace up his sleeve.’ Amber sucked in a breath of cold air, her eyes flashing with awe and a hint of fear as she looked at the massive crater. Just witnessing the destructive power and devastation was enough to send a chill down her spine.
’As expected of Master ❤️’ Her eyes shone as she looked at Victor’s back, her face flushing slightly. Her breathing grew heavier, hearts seeming to appear in her eyes as she gazed at him with both love and desire. A faint discomfort stirred within her, an unfamiliar itch accompanied by a craving she couldn’t quite suppress.
"Amber, it’s your turn. Go join the battle and make sure to drag that bastard along with you. I will be nearby to deal with the assassin," Victor spoke in a cold voice as he looked at a certain figure among the surviving soldiers and thought, ’Heh, stubborn like a cockroach.’
"Yes," Amber snapped out of her thoughts and replied in a serious tone. A vicious look appeared on her face as she left Victor’s side.

"Huff... Huff..." Callum panted heavily as he emerged from the smoke. He was in terrible condition—his body covered in blood, with patches of burned flesh exposing the white bones beneath.
"Fuck, more than half my vitality is gone, and several bones are broken," Callum cursed. If he hadn’t activated his defensive skills and artifacts, his injuries would have been far worse—he might not have survived at all. He looked fearfully at the sky, anticipating another attack. Never in his life had he felt so close to death.
Rumble
His body tensed at the new sound, and his eyes nearly popped out of their sockets as he saw the scene before him. "What the hell are those?!"
Giant metallic behemoths were attacking his troops. He could sense the auras of the soldiers inside them—they were weaker than his own men, yet they were fighting on equal footing and slowly overpowering them.
"Damn... are those some kind of armor?"
He watched with bloodshot eyes as some of the steel behemoths conjured mana swords and shields, while others fired bullets imbued with mana and missiles to attack his troops. They were getting slaughtered without much resistant.
"Black ice... how many more tricks has he hidden? I’m going insane!" Callum felt on the verge of tears and wanted to tear his hair off when he saw a woman wave her hand, reducing a large portion of his army into black ice sculptures. He cursed whoever had provided the intelligence—if he had known attacking this place would be this dangerous, he would have asked for reinforcements even if it cost him some benefits.

"They are just tin cans, quickly use your strongest attacks!" when the soldiers saw the Mechs appear, they spoke with disdain.
"Take this!" one of the soldiers, who had lost his brother in the missile attack, raised his sword and charged at the mech with hatred. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
Clang
Snap
"Wait, how could this be?" the soldier’s eyes widened as his sword snapped in two upon striking the mech, and then, under his horrified gaze, the mech formed a saber out of mana and bisected him.
The same scene was unfolding across the battlefield—soldiers were screaming, crying, and begging for mercy. The situation worsened when Amber appeared.
Plop
Amber arrived on the battlefield with a reluctant Andre, tossed him onto the ground, and immediately began attacking. "Primordial Ice Manipulation and Maker—Freeze."
As soon as Amber waved her hand, hundreds of soldiers instantly turned into black ice sculptures and died on the spot.
Andre was terrified; he nearly wet himself seeing hundreds of bloodshot eyes glaring at him. He had never fought in the real world in his life, and even when he went hunting monsters to level up, there were always guards loyal to the Light Barony who would take fatal blows for him and travel alongside him. He had always been confident, but now he felt nothing but sheer terror.
’Damn, where is the assassin? Kill her quickly, I want to run away!’ Andrew cursed Amber in his head and wished for her death to arrive soon so he could escape the battlefield. He knows longer had any desire for this woman to stay alive no matter how much he admitted her beauty and wanted to take her too bed, now he only resented her for bringing him into battlefield.
"Illusion!" he hurriedly activated his technique, knowing he had to fight and defend himself or he would die. He looked at the soldiers in relief as they seemd to fallen into an illusion as they frantically started to attack each other instead of him.
Amber, who was fighting, suddenly felt a chill run down her spine, and her sixth sense warned her of imminent danger apaprching her.
"What?!" Amber exclaimed, her eyes constricting as she sensed a shadow rushing toward her with immense killing intent locked onto her. She was too late to react as blood splashed onto her shocked face and dress.
