Farming in a Parallel World and Becoming a God
Chapter 2280 - 1026: Where There’s Anomaly, There’s Something Amiss (Part 2)
The screams of the two bloodsucking banshees were like the war horn, stirring up the entire Grey-White Kingdom.
A buzzing sound echoed.
Countless gaunt figures rose into the air from all directions, converging toward them, their appearance strikingly similar, with large bat wings flapping, lean and strong bodies like ghouls, and eyes filled with endless hunger.
But their hunger is no longer for flesh, but for blood.
Bloodsucking banshees count as a new type of undead.
They possess the paralysis attack of ghouls, the powerful blood-sucking regeneration ability of vampires, and have grown bat wings, giving them the ability to fly.
However, they do not have the transformation and mist escape abilities of vampires, and the derivative ability of ghouls has become very interesting.
They no longer gnaw on corpses but instead suck blood like vampires.
Female intelligent beings drained by them will become bloodthirsty monsters like them.
Meanwhile, male corpses will transform into corresponding ghouls.
This is why they are called bloodsucking banshees, not ghoul vampires or sucking demons.
It is this trait that makes them much more productive than regular ghouls, and once a bloodsucking banshee appears in the Material Plane,
it won’t be long before they organize a ghoul army.
Although ordinary ghouls can also transform others into ghouls in large quantities, they can hardly control their greedy desires; given the chance, they’d devour all flesh without leaving any chance for transformation.
Therefore, in some Material Planes, bloodsucking banshees are also called the Mother of Ghouls, considered the progenitors of all ghouls.
Those ghouls also show absolute obedience to the bloodsucking banshees, swiftly gathering as they fly.
By the time the two bloodsucking banshee consorts reached their destination, a vast ghoul army had formed behind them, stretching endlessly even in the air.
All they could see was a pale expanse and the endless hungry gaze, along with the powerful sound of gnawing bones.
As the ghoul army set out, not a blade of grass was left, and not a bone was spared; everything became their food.
Not to mention the vast ghoul army marching forth, the Corpse King returned to his Corpses Domain and immediately took action, gathering his reorganized air force.
The core remains the Winged Night Shadow, their numbers tripling compared to last time, nearing the fifty mark.
As an old veteran Advanced Undead Lord of the Plains of Bone, his war potential should not be underestimated.
Like many Demon Lords, his influence extends beyond the Bottomless Abyss, encompassing other Material Planes, especially his native Material Plane, where he has his factions and believers.
With all guns blazing, he can summon significant resources to the Bottomless Abyss.
In addition, there are thousands of flying creatures transformed into zombies, pegasi, giant eagles, bipedal dragons, and more.
Compared to their lives before, their flying is somewhat clumsy, but they can at least fly.
Whether it’s the Winged Night Shadow or flying zombies, they seldom fight alone, carrying several varied knights on their backs, mainly skeleton sorcerers wielding the Skeleton Ice Wand or Fireball Magic Wand.
Although they suffered a great loss in the last air battle, losing nine Winged Night Shadows,
it also greatly inspired the Corpse King, prompting them to emphasize diversified development and application of the air force, maximizing their own potential.
This is well-suited to the Corpses Domain.
The Corpse King, a lich proficient in magic research, naturally values spellcasting ability highly, and their territory has the highest production of spellcasting-related undead.
Now, the constraint on this air force’s scale is not the flying zombies but the spellcasting undead.
Without corresponding spellcasting ability, the combat power of those flying zombies is very limited.
Once the air force of Corpses Domain assembled, the Burning Flames Queen immediately received the news, unable to suppress her furious roar: "Aldridge, that old bastard, taking advantage and never stopping.
No matter what today, I must turn these flying zombies into ashes. Gather all the Corpse Burning Flame Spirit and Flame Ghost!"
The Burning Flames Queen first tasted the power of the air force prepared by the Corpse King for the Slaughter Army.
An aerial perspective greatly benefits those spellcasters.
Allowing them to easily lock on to the densest spots of the enemy, maximizing the power of their area spells.
Using either the Fireball Technique or Ice Storm.
The former targets ordinary skeleton soldiers, the latter targets the unique flame undead of the Flame Bone Territory.
Cold immunity of skeleton undead renders ice magic less effective against them.
While bodies of those flame undead infused with a great quantity of fire energy grant them high resistance to flames, the Corpse Burning Flame Spirit and Flame Ghost especially possess flame immunity.
However, they also lose cold immunity, and ice magic becomes significantly more effective against them.
These opposing elements often involve trade-offs, making it difficult to achieve both.
Wherever this air force went, the Burning Flame Army appeared blank, and the overall offensive involuntarily slowed.
