Fated To The Dark Alpha
Chapter 167. A Run
At The Blood Moon Pack,
Lazarus and Ezra entered the pack house and were greeted by a worried, relieved, and happy Dana and Rosie, and the members who were also inhabitants of the pack house.
Everyone was aware of what happened to the gamma and Al had been afraid of his he was faring now that they have seen him, they were relieved but they were also being very careful around him. He noticed this and frowned lightly but he did not comment. He could understand their reason but he did not like the way to looked at him. He would address that but now was not the right time to do so.
"Hello, Luna," He said with a smile while standing in front of her.
Without warning, she threw her arms around hugging him in a tight embrace. "I was worried, Ezra,"
"I am sorry," He said and hugged her back. "I am fine now." She nipped and finally let go of him and immediately, Rossie took her place. "I don’t want your mate to strangle me, you know." He teased.
"I will strangle him if he does that." She said and he chuckle lightly. His eyes locked with that of Raven who smiled at him.
"I am. happy to be back home."
After receiving enough hugs from the pack, he went up to his room for a bath. Buy before that he decided to let his wolf out for a run. The sun was almost setting, the sky was painted in an orange hue beautifully. He opened the window to his room and jumped down from their shifting midair.
He did want anyone to know that he was but he also could not leave without telling anyone either because of the previous incident or else they would worry that he has gone missing again. So linked Lazarus and Raven tell. They that he was going out for a run.
He ran through the trees as the wind brushed his fur making him dance along with the wind as he ran wild unrestrained. This wasn’t the first time he had let his wolf out since the incident. He ran deep into the words but still within the pack territory. He got to them toddle in the woods and stops under a large tree.
He lay there without knowing he lay and howled to let out his pain. Ezra might have come to terms with what happened but that did not mean his wolf did. He felt the stronger impact of the killing of their mate and was yet to come to terms with that was why Ezra had locked him away and kept him out of reach until now. It was time they both came to an agreement and moved on or at least learn to live with it.
He stood and laced around the wood among the trees going round in circles before coming to lay under the shed of the tree in the middle again. And closed his eyes as if asleep.
’We will be alright.’ Ezra tried to talk to his wolf trying to console him even though he also needed consolation. ’There will always be another.’ he said again but he remain laying in the se spot without moving a muscle. He looked like a wolf that has been abandoned his pack.
Ezra could not tell how. long he had been there but soon, a crescent moon appeared in the sky peeking through the thick leaves and branches of the trees and illuminating the forest floor with its light wherever it touched.
His wolf finally stood and began to run under the moonlight, his grey fur highlighted by the moon’s light. He ran until he got to a little elevation that form a small hill and stood atop it, howling to the moon.
Ezra closed his eyes, giving freedom to his wolf to free and do as he likes as long as no one was getting hurt, he did not mind.
The sound of his howls could be heard from afar, some people from the pack could recognize his howl while others did not because they did not that it was him as they all had seen him going into his room and did not come back out.
Dana, Lazarus, and Raven stood by the windows of wherever they were and stated in the direction where the howls came from with a knowing and sad expression. They could understand why he had chosen to let his wolf out tonight and they were happy about that. It meant that they were coming to terms with each other.
A shifter’s wolf could sometimes be very stubborn and aggressive and sometimes completely broken by some incidents and occurrences. If they both could come out of it, then there would be nothing fur them to worry about.
["Should I go and check on him?"] Raven asked Lazarus through the link. They were indifferent rooms, as they communicate with each other. Lazarus went into his office to catch up on some work while Raven retired to his room.
["No, allow him to be, he needs some space, there is no teingbhiw aggressive he would be now if someone else was to go him."] Lazarus said and heard a hum from Raven before he ended the link and returned to his desk. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
Back to Ezra, he had stepped the elevation and was now making his way back to the pack. He was still in his heart because it was better that way now. After all, he had no clothes to wear and he did not want to take the clothes that were always hidden among the trees that were meant for the warrior on patrol whenever they were done making their rounds.
So he made his way to the pack house in his beast form surprising many who saw him. But No one said anything and made way for him. He walk to his room and shift to his human skin and opened the door before going in for a cold shower.
He stood under the shower and turned it on and it began spraying down on him, he said motionless under it for a long while. His mind was blank as he refused to think about anything. He did want to think because his mind could easily be driven to the hurt and painful memory that would I ly leave his beast sad and feeling lonely.
After standing still a while longer, he moved to grape the bar of soap to use to wash his body and shampoo his hair. He washed up and then left the bathroom to lie on the bed without bothering to put any fabric on his body. No one will come to his room without knocking and be surprised to see a fellow shifter with clothes as it was common to see a sight like that among themselves. It would not be a surprise to see a fellow shifter with clothes as it was common to see a sight like that among themselves.
As much as he tried not to think, he could not completely stop his mind from straying and wandering all over the place, even going as far back as when he was still a little pup running around the pack. He remembered the first time he felt the impact of losing someone close to him, someone he loved. His mother and sister. The incident nearly change him but he grew out of it. He was able to forget though there was always a hole in his chest. Part of that whole was later filled with someone else, Kora, whom he saw and took be his just little sister.
He remembered the being when he saw his mother taken away after being killed by an Abomination, he remembered his she was not whole and her parts had to be gathered because she was torn and buried. His father was no more and all her had were now his friends. No one else. Raven and Lazarus, were the only ones he had and they were they fit him filling the place of family. He never lack d brothers and he had never felt like he lacked anything until he lost a supposed mate. He was deep in thought until he fell asleep without knowing it.
He did not go down for dinner. His spot on thentabek was left vacant for the first since the pack got to know him as their gamma, it was natural that he should not be on the table if he was absent but never when he was present and inside the pack. His absence at the table was felt and it left a gloomy atmosphere as they are.
Their eyes went up the stair every is and then but he never came until dinner was over and they all left the went into their rooms. "Ezra’s meal prepared, I will take it to him in his room," Dana said to the maid after everyone else was gone leaving just Laarus, Rosie, and Raven alone with herself behind
