Fated To The Dark Alpha
Chapter 194. You are heartless
Far away from Ghora,
Jarred sat by a round table with a few more people with him. He had left the Facility at Colfshade City and came to another city which happened to be the capital of Hyderia. Right now he was seated with the Ambassador who had visited the facility at Coldshade City and other members of the military as he explained to them what had happened.
His expression alone portrayed the won’t of anger he felt from that one incident and they could all relate. Some of those men who had died were members of the military and they had just lost their comrades to a group of non-human creatures who shouldn’t exist in the world right from the beginning.
"Do you intend to build another base?" the ambassador asked. Just like the others he didn’t like the idea of having creatures that fed on human blood roaming around the Cities and streets of the Hyderia. If shifters were hated then Vampires after what they had done overnight were more than hated and despised.
"There is another, a minor base but it is in the process heart of the vampire hive, at Snow Town," he said and they looked at him with weird gazes. "Most of them had been driven out already," he then informed them, knowing what they were thinking.
"We would take over the entire city, it is the only way to secure the facility while the other one is under construction," a general amongst them said. He looked at the Ambassador who nodded and it was agreed.
The sound of footsteps coming through the door drew everyone’s attention to it. From came one of the members of the squad who had died at the facility in Lord Dmitri’s hands. His appearance naturally came as a surprise to everyone present in the room. They cast glances at Jarred, some accusing him of leaving a soldier behind while others demanding an explanation.
Jarred looked at the soldier who had just walked. At first, he was surprised but then he became auspicious. There was no way that the devil would have appeared to him without doing something to him first. The closer the man walked towards him, the more his suspicion became profound and confirmed.
"There is something wrong with him," he stated but no one could see anything wrong with the man who had just walked inside other than the fact that he looked unkempt for someone who was appearing before his superiors.
"Can you tell us what it is?" Ambassador Kent asked.
Jarred was silent because he could not tell exactly what was wrong but he could feel it. Something was wrong with him. He stood to his feet when he drew closer. The look in his eyes was blank as if he was not alive and it was this that caught the others’ attention.
"What is wrong with him?" they all asked simultaneously. His next move shocked them even more. Without saying a word, he pulled out a gun, pointed it at Jared, and fired without hesitation.
Everyone was stumped by his actions, he did not only look like he was a walking corpse, but he was also not in control of his mind. They only thought about Jarred when the second shot was fired and they found him lying on the floor with a bleeding shoulder.
"Someone kill him," Kent yelled because he doubted the general would order the killing of his soldier.
It was after his order that a soldier pulled the trigger and shot him in the chest which successfully got him down to his knees, and the blank look in his eyes disappeared and color returned. He took in his surroundings before the eyes went blank again and he lost consciousness.
"Someone get a doctor in here," The general shouted and walked over to the fallen soldier, he had seen the color return to his eyes before he lost consciousness. If there was even the slightest chance of saving him it was best to do it now.
A doctor was brought in to check on the home whole Jared had his shoulder bandaged to stop the bleeding before he would be taken to the theater for the removal of the bullet that was still stuck in his shoulder.
After carefully examining him, the doctor shook his head and stood up. "There is nothing we can do, we can’t save him," he said and they could only nod their heads. He was shot in the heart so it was understandable that he should be dead by now.
They then moved over to Jared who still held his shoulder and a pained expression on his face. A stretcher was brought and he was placed in it to be taken out of the room.
"We will do as you have proposed," The general said to him before he was taken out.

Dmitri was in his mansion, they had come here because the dawn was almost upon them by the time they left the facility not wanting to waste energy trying to get to their territory. Right now he lay in his bed sleeping away the day while he awaited the night hours where he wouldn’t have to take any risks.
His eyes flew open suddenly, almost startling the woman who had been trying to take him but all her efforts had been in vain because he didn’t look like he would wake up any time soon.
He surveyed the room and found the woman who now had an angry look on her face. He breathes deeply and releases slowly. He has just felt the compulsion break which told him that the human he compelled was dead.
"He is dead," he informed her and her face twisted in confusion for a brief moment before it dawned on her.
"As expected," She said and moved to draw the curtain and pulled them to a corner. "But did he do what he was supposed to do?’’ That was the question that they could not answer, not until further investigation was conducted.
"Why do you pull the curtains? I still want to sleep, Cillia," he said and she glared at him.
"Why did you go there last night? You could have done something more productive with that time," she said and drew closer to him. "If you lacked something of importance to do, you could have told me," 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
"What is it?" he asked because he could guess that there was something else she was mad about.
"The shifters are off to Ghora and could track them, you could have been of help to me," she said and he frowned in confusion.
"What is Ghora?" he asked. Cillia stared at him in incredulity.
"The shifters that attacked the Abominations on the Luna night, they are from Ghora," she informed but that was not what caught his attention.
"The Abominations, how many are left?" he asked. From what he had come to know and understand about the Abominations, there were rogue shifters and vampires among them that had committed some crime and instead of killing them, they were being put to good use by turning them into Abominations. The Luna night which she had made mention of had claimed many of them, it was necessary to have many more of those things around in the coming war.
"Not much, why?" she asked.
"They will be needed," he said and she nodded. Having mindless killing machines to release on the humans would prove useful to all no humans.
"There are not many rule breakers around lately, do we just take them?" She said,
"Can humans be used?" he inquired. She should know best if it would be possible for humans to be used, there are an abundance of them all over the world and they seem to increase in number every day. They would make good resources and a way to punish the humans for their attempts to eradicate the nonhumans.
How would they feel if the cake knew that the monsters that were attacking them were ice humans like them?
"We could try," she said and smiled. "Get me as many as you can, I will see what comes out of them."
"Have Leroy bring them to you, and also, if that doesn’t work, we will raid a few packs and make use of the rights inhabiting and eating freely from me," he said.
"You are heartless, killing them without a reason," she said with a smile.
"I never had one to begin with," he tried.
