Fated To The Dark Alpha
Chapter 196. They need shelter
In a few minutes, the shifters of Desert Pack arrived at the pack house and their Alpha was escorted into the Alpha’s office to meet with Mateo. While those who had come with him remained downstairs.
"Greetings, Supreme Beta," the Alpha greeted as he took the seat that was offered to him. He sat beside the two hunters who hadn’t left yet.
"Welcome, Alpha Ramiel," Mateo said and the alpha gave a very bow of his head. "You want to see the Alpha?" he asked. Mateo studied the man in front of him, he could tell that he was strong and from his aura alone. This was his first time meeting the Alpha of the Desert Pack. The last time Darren interacted with them, he was accompanied by Levi while he went to handle some other things.
"I hope it isn’t too much to ask?" He replied. His time was humble and not like what the Desert Pack was rumored to be.
"Alpha was not very happy about the fact that you cut all possible connections with him and other packs," he said to tell him whether or not it was trouble to see the Alpha. From what he had been told, he could deduce if it would be trouble to see him or not.
"I know and I am sorry for that, Beta Supreme, but we needed to cut all connections from everyone else," he said but Mateo remained silent which indicated that he was expected to speak further and draw more light to what he was saying.
"There are two shifters downstairs I would like to introduce to Alpha, he will understand after he meets them, and if he needs further explanation after that I will be more than willing to let him know what he wants to know."
"Do you know what he is talking about?" Mateo asked the hunters.
"Yes," one of them said.
"But we didn’t know what they are," the other said, completing the words and Mateo nodded.
"You can’t meet Alpha now, he’s off to Ghora," Mateo informed but Alpha Ramiel looked lost while there was a shocked and surprised look on the faces of the hunters.
"Can we go there too, it’s been a while since our last visit, besides, Luscious and I would like to meet Alpha too,"
Mateo shook his head killing down their hopes of meeting the Alpha anytime soon. "Alpha had asked me to call you back before he left this morning, he has a new mission for you," he informed them.
"What mission?" they asked at the same time.
"You will know that later," Mateo replied and then nodded. He turned his attention back to the Alpha seated in front of him and realized that the man still did not know what Ghora was. He began explaining but he was still insistent on going to meet with him. "You still want to find him?"
"I must speak with him," he replied and Mateo didn’t know how to refuse him anymore.
"Alright, I will have someone escort you to him, but don’t blame me if he does not like your visit," He warned. "And I would also like to meet these two shifters you spoke of,"
"So I do let them in or..." he asked.
"I will go down with you to see them." he couldn’t allow just anyone entity alpha’s office like that. Alpha Ramiel stood yo to lead the way but Mateo remained inside for a minute or two with the hunters before they also headed out.
The group moved down to the living area of the pack house where the shifters were waiting for Alpha Ramiel, There were two werewolves and two others who were not werewolves but one could tell at a single glance that they were not humans either. This was his first time seeing and meeting shifters who were not werewolves and was shocking.
Seeing Matro and feeling his aura pressure, he was almost mistaken to be the Alpha by those who didn’t know him, like the two shifters whom he had come to see. The werewolves could feel the aura of a Beta, though it was very strong and could be easily mistaken as an Alpha aura.
"Greetings Beta Supreme," the werewolves spoke and the other two followed suit and bowed their heads too as a show of respect.
"Welcome, all of you," he said and then walked straight to the two. "Alpha Ramiel," he called, "Tell me now, what do they need and why do you want to meet Alpha?" he looked at them, trying to figure out what they were.
"They need shelter, Supreme Beta, I would like to speak with Alpha on this matter, because I would like to take them in and keep them in my pack. They are rare creatures, and they are the last ones of their races after the humans spotted and attacked them," Alpha Ramiel said and Mateo was taken aback. "I can assure you, they won’t be a bother but be of help to us, They are strong, I know you can feel it too,"
Metro looked at Alpha Ramiel and then at the people with him as he made up his mind. This was not something he should decide without the Alpha’s permission and it was also not something to be discussed over a phone call. "As I said, Alpha is away to Ghora, if you must meet him, you have to go to Ghora," he said and the Alpha modded.
"We will make the trip, but I have to trouble you, supreme Beta, may I know where Ghora is?" he asked. He had no idea what Ghora was and he had never heard of a place called that so what could it be?
"Luscious and Zack will take you there before heading off to their mission," Mateo said and turned to look at the hunters who could not conceal their excitement of having to go to where their Alpha was.
They were among the shifters who did not belong to a pack before Darren became Supreme Alpha had created Ghora where they all stayed and trained and pledged allegiance to him. So they were the shifter of a pack founded by Darren himself so their loyalty was solely to the Alpha supreme without having g a lesser alpha to bow to. This was one of the reasons why Darren only trusted them with issues of utmost confidentiality.
"We are honored, Beta," they said with smiles on their faces.
"It is settled then," Mateo said and the group started making their way out of the pack to meet with Darren.
