Fated To The Dark Alpha
Chapter 214. Luna Dana
"You want to see us?" Darren asked after they entered the living room and found Dana and Lazarus sitting and waiting for them.
"Yes," Lazarus replied "I would like a word with the two of you," He said as they took their seats in front of them.
"Okay, you have our attention," Darren said, making sure Kora was all right beside him. "What is it?"
Lazarus looked at Dana who squeezed his hand that was linked with hers and smiled. He took a deep breath and then looked at the mates on the other side.
"The Blood Moon Pack has decided to become part of the Supreme pack," he said and there was a surprise at the faces of Kora and Darren.
"Are you sure?" The question left her lips even before she could think but she did not regret asking. This was so sudden and unexpected. Though she was happy that they would be one once again, she hoped he was not being backed into a corner because she wouldn’t want him to regret this decision later.
"I am sure, I have thought about it, my Beta and Gamma have also agreed to this, they have no objections. All that’s left right now is the concern of the Supreme Alpha and Luna," he replied.
Kora looked at Dana who smiled and leaned back on the sofa, looking relaxed. Then she looked at Darren who seemed to be on business mode right now.
That carefree expression that he walked in with was gone and he wore the look she always saw on him when addressing the pack or doing anything work-related.
"I am fine with it as long as you don’t mind, Father," she said.
"Is this about the coming war?" Daren asked, already knowing why. Lazarus was a good assert and it was good that he had decided on his own to join but he needed verbal confirmation for everything. This was not the time for family, duty calls and he needed to act as the leader that he was.
"Yes, this is about that war, but done with worry, I don’t mind, I never did," Lazarus replied truthfully.
"Very well," Darren said he cast a glance at Luna Dana who looked ?$$$tbothered by what they were saying and knew that she was not against it either. His expression softened when she smiled. She might be under his command and protection now, but she was still family and a female, if he would be hard on Lazarus, he wouldn’t be with her either.
"We will do the needful tomorrow after we return from the vampire territory."
He took out his phone and sent a text to his Beta and Gamma who would relay the message to those who were needed to the present. "Have a good night," he said to Lazarus and Dana as they stood up to head back to their room.
"Thank you, Alpha and Luna Supreme," Dana said and they paused, turned to look at her and she smiled innocently at them.
That was right, that’s how she would address them starting tomorrow. It would take time for Kora to adjust to having her parents calling her that but she was still glad that they would be able to carry everyone along including the pack that she grew up with.
*****
Early the next morning, Alpha Julio arrived and the group left for the Vampire territory. Lazarus had sent a messenger to inform the Vampires of their coming ahead of them so they wouldn’t be caught off guard and misunderstand the visit.
Arriving at the vampire territory, the team got down from their cars and was received by Leroy and Azrail. Dmitri appeared shortly after their arrival along with Cillia. The messenger that was sent walked behind them and then past them heading for the shifters whom he knew.
"To what don’t owe this pleasant surprise?" Dmitri asked in a flat tone. His gaze fixated on the other she-wolf and he could immediately recognize her. It was as if he had known her since birth and his expression fell. This was her, Cillia’s daughter. Dana, the Luna of the Blood Moon Pack.
While Dana looked at the woman who was supposed to be her mother with no emotions at all. She was already expecting to meet her soon so she was prepared emotionally when she decided to accompany them. They stared at each other without speaking to each other.
"Is this how you treat your guests, Dmitri?" Kora asked. Her tone was neither cold nor friendly. It was as flat as how I had spoken earlier. She had noticed the way he stayed at Dama and she didn’t like it.
"Leroy," He called with his gaze fixated on Kora now.
"Understood, My lord," Leroy said and stepped forward. "Follow me," he said and started walking ahead while they all followed.
"Supreme Luna, a word," Dmitri said the moment she and Darren were about to walk past him.
They both stopped and looked at him. Then stopping also caused the others to stop and the warriors that were guarding the Alpha also stopped. Their job was to protect their lack of leaders so leaving them behind was not an option for them.
"May I speak with her alone, Supreme Alpha?" he asked.
"No," and that was all that Darren said. Dmitry was quick to give up because he could also see that Kira was not willing to dismiss her mate.
"Alright, ask him to leave," he said but none of the mates made a move to do that. "Please," he added even though they all knew he didn’t mean it.
Kora looked at her mate and then at the rest of the people and nodded her head at them so they would know that they could leave them alone.
"May I know what you were looking at my mother like that?" Kora asked the moment everyone else was inside beside them.
Cillia stayed behind but she maintained a distance from them. She didn’t want to go inside and stay alone there with Dana without Dmitri but she also didn’t want to go to him now and tell him to come in with her. Her head snapped in their direction the moment she heard the way Kora spoke to him and she frowned.
"You know why, must you ask?" he asked and then shook his head. "This isn’t why have asked to speak with you alone...both of you."
Darren just stood beside her listening to what they were saying though he didn’t know how much they knew each other, it was obvious that it was a long time ago. All he wanted to do was make sure she was not left alone with the most dangerous vampire alive. He shook his head, handling an uncomfortable feeling. He has felt this way since he stepped into the vampire territory but it was growing stronger. Another reason why he could not trust her alone with this vampire.
