Lazarus sat in his office after Kora Darren and Emily had gone to their rooms. Those whom he had asked to wait did each sitting on the sofas inside the office as they waited to hear what he would say.

Lazarus remained silent as he thought of how to begin. After a few minutes of silence, he looked up at every one of them, meeting each of their gaze, and stopped when he got to his mate. She smiled at him and rubbed his arm encouragingly though she didn’t know what he was going to say to them but it seemed important.

Nodding his head, he said, "I have asked you all to wait because I have something important to discuss and I need to hear your opinion on this too, I don’t want to do anything like keep you all in the dark." he began and they nodded. The already tense and heavy only growing. "I have thought this and thought it would be useful to join with the other packs," he informed them.

They seemed to listen for the first few seconds but a moment later, they understood what he was saying.

"Are you sure about this?" Dana asked. She looked taken aback by the words of her mate but she did not seem to oppose it.

"I have," he said with a nod and she also nodded. They then looked at the other people with them and waited to hear what they had to say too. Their opinion was important. "I would like to know what you think," Lazarus said looking at Raven and then at Ezra before Rosie.

"You sad you have thought about it," Raven began, "If you think it is the best decision, then I have no objection," he said understanding the reason why Lazarus had thought of doing this.

"I have no objection either, right now, it is best for the pack that we do this," Ezra said and leaned back in his seat.

All eyes moved to Rosie who was left to give her thought in the discussion.

"I agree with you all," she said and Dana smiled. There was my objection from any of them.

"It is decided then," Lazarus said, "I will talk to Darren about this when he has the time, you can all go and rest now, to have had a busy day and tomorrow would be even more busy," he said dismissing them all.

"Good night, Alpha, and Luna," Tgey said and left the mates alone in the office knowing that they needed some space of their own too.

"Good night all of you," they replied before the doors could close.

"You didn’t tell me about this Lazarus," Dana said, pinning him against the seat and he gave an apologetic look. "Don’t give me that,"

"I am sorry," he said not arguing it with her. She was right after all. "I just decided not long ago,"

"You should still told me about it," she insisted.

"You don’t approve?" he asked now pulling her closer to himself. Their faces were so close that they could feel each other’s breath.

"It’s not that," she said trying to wriggle herself out from his hold, "I like the idea but I am still mad,"

"I have something to tell you," Kora said to Darren. He had just come out of the bathroom and was fully dressed after taking a shower.

"What is it?" He asked, coming to stand in front of her while she sat on the bed. "Are you alright?"

"I am fine," she said, let alone in his palm that held her cheeks. "The reason I came here was to see Dmitri, he wanted to talk about working together for the survival of our people." Darren’s hand that was stroking her hair paused when he heard the name Dmitri.

"Why did you not tell me it was him before?" he asked. If she is as willing to tell him now then she could have done that before too, he was not mad though. She had no reason for keeping away from him.

"You would have stopped me, I didn’t want you to stop me," she said truthfully. He would indeed have stopped her because that was dangerous especially after what he had learned letting her take careless actions would put her into grave danger.

"Next time, don’t keep me in the doubt," he sat beside her. I would try to stop you and even get mad at the moment, but you know that I would never force you to stay back or do something when your mind is set on doing another," he said, making her look at him.

"I know," Kora said, looking down at her fingers. She raised her head meeting his gaze, "But you wouldn’t have let me go this time, maybe not alone."

"I am sorry if I have been too overbearing and protective of you," he said. He remembered her getting angry in the car when he had said that Lucy would be accompanying her.

She looked at him and smiled then nodded. She touched her stomach and her smile widened. There was another reason why she had decided to keep the baby inside of her. It was the decision that she and Gaia had made. What do they do if the situation is too bad and they are greatly losing out. It might cost their life so it was best to leave an heir for their mate. Someone to take over after them and someone for him to hold on to, a reason to live.

"What would you name him?" she asked, looking at him with the same smile. It paused and she seemed in deep thought for a few seconds trying to see into the future. She wanted to be sure if it was a girl or a boy, but it wasn’t clear. She didn’t know what to make out of what saw.

"You’ll pick his name," he said placing his hand on her stomach. The faint heartbeat that he picked up on a day ago was becoming stronger but it was fast compared to what he had from other present women which made him wonder if it was more than one.

"What if it’s a girl?" she asked and he smiled, it would be lively having a daughter, a little princess to play with and pamper. He thought

"How about we give two names, you pick one and I pick one," suggested not wanting to miss out on naming his daughter.

"Aren’t you being biased?" she asked because he completely let her choose a boy’s name but he would also partake in naming a girl.

"I am not," he denied and she laughed. Seeing her laugh made him happy and wanted to see her like that forever. "I love you," planning close to her face. He caressed her cheek and her laughter ceased as they stared into each other’s eyes. She could see the desire in them.

It seems one night away from each other had him longer. She thought.

He leaned in on her and she allowed him. She missed him too. They shared a passionate kiss until a mind link to Kora killed the moment.

["Kora, can you hear me?"]

It was a mind link from Lazarus. It seems he was testing if he could still each and she was not the only one who could reach him.
