Fated To The Dark Alpha
Chapter 234 - 233. Tension 1
"Luna supreme," Kora was greeted when she walked into the room filled with Alphas and the Council Elders.
"Thank you," she said and on her way to the seat beside Darren, he stood up to help her and sat back down after her. Her eyes scanned the room and found the people she had come to see. Darren wouldn’t allow be alone with them so she had come here where he was with them.
Days had gone by and many more packs had been raided, so many lives had been lost, children made orphans and left without anyone to care for them or a place for shelter. Some of the alphas present here were those whose packs had been raided and destroyed, killing almost all of the pack. They have come with the few survivors whom they wish to be given shelter or add them to another pack or they should be given a piece of land, or even just one of the estates owned by the Supreme Alpha.
The other people present were none other than the other shifter races that they had found and had agreed to work together with the Supreme Pack.
"The vampires and spell casters are not here yet?" Kira asked out loud. Dmitri was supposed to be here along with the Coven head and her people.
"They should be here soon, Luna," Mayeo answered. He looked at the door as if expecting them to walk through it immediately.
"I thought I felt them cross the border," Kora said with a nod of her head. She must have mistaken it then. She turned her attention to the two sisters whom they had left behind at Ghora for their safety, they must have left after hearing that their kind had been found though they were not the same that they once knew, it was still better to be among their kind. The others, she had never seen before but she didn’t look surprised to see them.
"While we wait, make your reports," Dareen said. They could not sit silently while waiting for the vampires to find them when they still had many things left unattended.
"I am asking for shelter for my pack, I have with me here the only survivors from the raid last night," Luna Hale of Quick Fang Pack said. She took over from her mate after he died at the Vampire’s attack during the Luna’s ceremony and still had a huge grudge against the vampires but for the same of the treaty with the Vampire lord and coven head, she would try not to kill a vampire as revenge for the loss of her mate.
"How many are you?" Darren asked. If they were not many, they would have to stay in the Shadow Moon Pack or join another pack that was big enough to accommodate them.
"Six children, five women, and nine warriors. Twenty of them and then me and my gamma, make that twenty-two," she replied. She had lost another friend today and almost all of her pack. Remembering the cries of the children who died, her hard work for the course and spell casters was pushed aside and her anger and hatred for the humans grew. If she could, she would hide what was left of her pack and face those humans alone but that wouldn’t only be a foolish thing to do, it was suicidal.
Darren nodded his head while keeping a blank expression. Hearing how many people were left out if one of the largest packs riled him up but he knew better than to rein in his emotions before he killed every aloha in there and became worse than the humans they all dreaded and ran to him for protection.
"Who else is asking for shelter?" he asked and he saw a few Alphas and Lunas raise their hands and he nodded. "That would be taken care of later. For now, have them stay here, train with the others if they are up for it," he said and they all nodded. "Have Leo pass the order," he said to Levi.
[" You didn’t have to talk so much if you don’t want to, they know it is you already,"] Kora said knowing how much he was forcing himself to talk so much while battling his inner demons.
["I know, but I have to,"] he replied, holding her hand under the table to help him calm down.
"They are here," Kora said, looking towards the door.
All eyes shifted to the door where Dmitri and Cillia were seen walking in with Azrail and Leroy in tow, someone else was behind them whom they assumed to be a witch.
"You took your precious time getting here," one of the Alphas seated there commented and Dmitri only smiled while Cillia frowned. Those behind had no expression.
"Pardon our rudeness, we just thought to give you some time to get to what has been happening amongst yourselves, I am aware that not all of you get along well with each other," Dmitri said, his eyes moving from Alpha to the other, those whom he knew were at odds with each the but have to sit together like this in an enclosed space because the Alpha supreme wanted them to.
"We are here now, better late than never right?" he asked, looking at Kora who must stare at them. Her expression could not be read and her eyes seemed blank giving out no shine at all. His eyes trailed down to her stomach and he smirked which earned a small frown from her and a low growl from Darren and Lazarus. He chuckled at their protectiveness.
"Let’s not make this awkward, shall we?" he said and walked over to the two empty seats by the table holding Cillia by the hand, he helped her sit before he did. "Why are there only two seats?" he asked.
"It was only two of you who were called, did you expect many?" Alpha Zeke answered. He glared at Dmitri before glaring at Leroy, the things he had done were yet to be forgotten.
"Looks like someone wants to pick a fight," Dmitri replied to him and smiled. "Well, I am in a white pack and a room filled with them, wouldn’t I be wary?"
"Enough, all of you," Kora said, already getting a headache from the little time that they had spent here. Putting alphas together was already trouble enough, add vampires to the list and you will have more than a filled day.
