Fated To The Dark Alpha
Chapter 235 - 234. Tension2
"Have you succeeded?" Darren asked, looking at Dmitri and Cillia. They could not wait for the humans to keep attacking them while they sat behind and watched as their people died. It was time to take the fight to them, to begin, everyone needed to be ready.
"Almost, they should be ready tonight, it will be the full moon," Dmitri replied. Many of his campuses had been caught too. Sometimes, the humans were bold enough to send their ashes back to him to tell him that he was not as powerful as they feared him to be.
He had spent days and nights trying to hasten up the awakening of the dark vampire which he would be more than glad to unleash along with the Abominations on the humans who were too full of themselves because they had their technology at their disposal. It was time some old timers showed them that technology was not very effective against them and was useless in a battle such as this.
"How sure are you that it will be done?" Darren asked again only to be sure.
"I am certain, the only problem would be food," Dmitri said and smiled because some humans would be dying tonight. "But not to worry, I can have that arranged,"
"Blood?" Luna Hale asked. That was the only food vampires enjoyed. She wanted to pity the poor human souls that would be departing the land of the living tonight but she could not find it in her heart to pity them. They didn’t pity her pack when they massacred everyone.
"You know us well, my dear Luna," Dmitri replied as she sighed while massaging her temple.
"What about you? And where is the other which, Crysta?" Kora asked Cillia and didn’t look pleased to hear the name Crysta being mentioned.
"I am not responsible for what she does," Cillia said with irritation.
"You know to watch your back, right? She once worked with humans and now with a rogue who wants everyone dead, shouldn’t at least try to find her and keep an eye on her?" Kora asked, not understanding what was wrong with the old witch. She was not thinking like someone her age at all.
"I can handle whatever she throws at me and my coven," she was sure of this. A confrontation now would not be the first, they had had numerous confrontations in the past and she had always won, this time wouldn’t be any different.
"Don’t be cocky," Lazarus’s voice came from across the table right in front of her. "Overconfidence can bring your downfall," he added and she glared wishing she could kill him.
"I know my capabilities, I know u can take her at any time, no matter what she brings with her. Helping a rogue ain’t change who she is," she said, still glaring at Lazarus.
"You are being angry with the wrong person, Cillia," Darren called her attention. The rogue you speak of was once an Alpha who decueved every with his death, do you think together they can’t do something to harm us all?" he asked and she went silent. "Unlike you, I am keeping an eye on enemies, they have something big planned and you need to be ready, find her if you like, but don’t get in my way when it is time to do what I think is necessary,"
Cillia frowned, feeling insulted by his words. The choice of words was telling her that whatever was ’necessary’ had something to do with her witches and she did not like the sound of that.
"What do you mean?" she asked. Everyone else seems to know except her.
"You would know if you paid attention to the one person who wants your demise the most," Lucy said, making her presence known to everyone. "Everything is in place Alpha," she said and he nodded.
"Where is she?" Cillia asked. She could do something amidst all of this.
"I do not report to you," Lucy replied and Cillia nodded her head.
"Still holding on to old grudges," she said smiling at her for a second before looking away.
"I do," Lucy answered honestly. Seeing she was not would be a lie, what they put them through could not be forgotten so easily.
"We need to stop arguing and continue with what is important," Elder Williams said. This would get them nowhere if they keep finding faults in each other or pointing fingers at each other for the slightest thing.
The room fell into silence after his statement. He was right but who would break the ice that had overtaken them all? They all had their problems to deal with and someone else pointing fingers at them for it would only rile them up.
"They will be an attack on The Blood Moon pack in three days as we have been told by Alpha Lazarus, we will take advantage of this information and attack them back," Darren said and Lazarus frowned.
"You want to use my pack as the battlefield?" he asked, almost growling at him.
"It is the best we can find and everything in there can be put to better use. You have a vast land, Lazarus, make good use of it," Darren said.
"And endanger everyone there? That won’t be happening," Lazarus refused. That would only to the destruction of his pa k and he would not allow that. "My pack has gone through a blood bath in the past, I won’t allow another,"
"We would find a way to move the fight from there and take it to the field at the border," Kora said but Alpha Julio thought otherwise.
"That would affect my pack," he states with a huge frown and Darren nearly growled had it not been Kora placing her hand on his.
"Then where do you want it to be taken? The human city where we would be at their mercy?" he asked and they when silent.
Dmitri laughed when he saw them arguing with each other and they all flared at him.
"We can take it to the vampire territory," someone whom Dmitri was sure suggested and his eyes dilated turning crimson immediately as he stood up. The room plunged into silence after that.
