Fated To The Dark Alpha
Chapter 245 - 244. Impressed
Blood Moon Pack
Lazarus walked instead to the living room and found Ezra walking and knew just her he was going to so many in the morning. Sensing his presence, Ezra stopped and turned around. He looked and said something to someone outside before walking back inside.
"Good morning Alpha," Ezra said after walking back to where Lazarus stood. He looked past him to see if there was someone else making their way down but no one did. "You had a long day yesterday and returned late. You should have some more rest, Raven and I will take care of things for now," he said, knowing why he was up and walking around already.
"I am fine. Now is not the time to be sleeping like we used to in the past when none of this was happening," Lazarus replied. He started to walk and so did Ezra. "Where is Raven?"
"He went to the Black Storm pack to see how things are done there. We don’t want any surprises later on when we would be ready for it. He would also talk to the guards at the border so they would know what to do when the time comes," Ezra replied and Lazarus nodded.
They stepped out of the door and moved to the side so they wouldn’t block the path that got those going in and out of the pack house.
"The pack is nearly empty, almost everyone has been evacuated," Ezra said looking at the pack. Where there used to be children playing or on their way to school, it was empty right as no one wanted. The Blood Moon pack was a big pack with a high population but now, barely anyone could be seen.
"It seems we cannot stop the bloodbath that will once happen here. I wish I could stop it from happening," Lazarus said. Their talk after the vampire and Coven’s head left still ended with the attack happening as they had earlier discussed because there was no way they would be able to change the direction of the attack without directing it to another pack.
They walked away from the front of the manor and headed in the direction of the pack training grounds.
"Make sure the Cave is secured, no matter what happens, it can’t be destroyed," Lazarus said. The cave had been there even before he became alpha and now he knew the significance of that cave, keeping it safe was now a responsibility that he could not keep aside. He could not let it be destroyed.
"I will. make sure of that l," Ezra said and Lazarus nodded. They both knew how important it was to Kora and letting it get destroyed would hurt her as well as destroy something that was a part of the pack since the very beginning.
"I find it ironic to know," Ezra said and looked up at the sky, it was still very early and the sun hadn’t fully risen yet. Lazarus gave him a side glance. "The blood is upon us and the humans chose this time to attack us. I find it ridiculous."
Lazarus chuckled finally understanding what he meant. He had forgotten about the blood moon because of all the troubles they had been facing lately.
"It will be beneficial to us, even the vampire too. This can be considered as the work of the goddess looking out for us," he said and it was Ezra’s turn to nod.
They reached the training grounds and found someone whom Exra had appointed to lead the training giving orders. They stopped at a distance and watched them train.
"You have done a good job," Lazarus said, impressed by how the guards performed.
"Glad that you are impressed. I worked hard to get them there. It also means you don’t have to worry too much, they can protect themselves and the pack," Ezra said and smiled.
"I agree, but I can’t help but worry about the unknown," Lazarus said, walking to join them in training. It would be good to test them himself to know just how well prepared they were.

Lucy stared at her sister with a knowing smile. She had just returned but Lucy didn’t bother asking where she had been all the while and just smiled. Though Lucinda wouldn’t admit it, Lucy knew the truth already and didn’t need to be told of anything else.
"Had fun I supposed?" She said scrolling through her phone. Something that Lucinda found suspicious. Lucy was but the type who was obsessed with phones and she did but like playing or chatting with people so seeing her so interested in one to the point that she was not even looking at her was a cause for concern.
"What are you doing?" she asked, turning behind the chair where Lucy sat just to have a peek at what she was doing. But before she could reach where she would see it, Lucy had the chair facing Lucinda again. If she wanted to see it she would have to walk around it again.
Lucinfa stood still in one place knowing that if she tried walking around, she would just move the chair and change positions. "Just let me see," Lucinda said. The teacher got the phone which was taken out of her reach.
"You didn’t answer my question," Luvy said and put the phone away.
"Huh? What question?" She asked, looking at her sister who kept her smile intact. She was confused as well as happy to see her smiling like that even though it meant she had misunderstood something or assumed something that may not be true.
"Were you with Azrail? Yes or No? She asked and added the last part when Lucinda opened her mouth to deny it.
"Crysta showed up last with Alpha Norman, they almost disrupted the awakening," Lucinda said, though she lied at the end, anything to get her sister to stop assuming things. And just as she thought, the smile on Lucy’s face disappeared and she looked angry. "Azrail and I handled it, they left a while later."
The frown on Lucy’s face eased up. In the end, she still ended up alone with Azrail and nothing went out of place. "Why didn’t you return after that, did you decide to spend the night there?" Lucy asked knowing that was what happened or maybe she had gone somewhere else with the vampire.
"Alpha gave me a day off," she said, refusing to answer that one question.
