Kora who had snuck away from the fight that was taking place outside was now looking at Dana who was on her knees with one in her stomach and the other on the ground for support. She approached her and touched her shoulder.

"Are you okay, Dana?" She asked and scrutinized her face. "Don’t lie," Kora said when she saw Dana nod her head. "Let’s go, this place is a dump." She said helping Dana up to her feet.

Dana looked at the girl helping her with squinted eyes. She felt a lot better when Kora touched her and regained some of her lost energy. Now she was certain that it was Kora whom they were looking for. She immediately mind-linked Lazarus "Keep at least one of them alive."

"I know," Lazarus replied. "I think they are after someone, but I don’t know whom."

"I think it’s Kora they are after," Dana said. "I am not sure." She said. There was silence from Lazarus’s end.

"How do you know that?" He asked finally.

"I...."

"It’s fine, you and I have a lot to talk about, Dana," Lazarus said and cut the link before she could say anything in reply. She felt her heart skip a beat at his words. She hated having to keep a secret from him but she had no choice, she didn’t even know how she became a hybrid wolf with the power of witches. She couldn’t blame herself when she did not even know who her parents were.

Kora saw that she was done linking she was talking to. Her body trembled a bit as she fought hard not to show any weakness in a place like this. "Dana?"

"I’ll be fine," Dana said forcing a smile. "How did you get here?" she asked changing the conversation.

Kora pouted when she Understood what Dana was doing. Dana was trying to change the topic. "Lazarus and someone named Darren is there, they took care of everything and gave me the chance to escape." Dana nodded at her and took hold of her hand. "Who are they?"

"Hello, I am Lucinda and we are friends of hers," Lucinda said smiling at the girl. She has just come to meet Dana when he saw her with the little girl leaving Lucy behind to handle what was left of the other spell casters. She recognize her as the girl who was with Darren.

"You are not her friends. Why do you lie?" Kora asked looking displeased.

"She is like us," Lucinda said and lit a flame on her palm which nearly went wild, and she puts it out. "So, do you still think we are not her friends?"

"Those bad people can do that too, are they your friends too?" Kora asked and looked at the bodies that Lucy had just left lying on the ground.

"No, they are not our friend’s little girl," Lucy said and walked up to them. "But it does not mean we are not her friends."

"Dana doesn’t see you as her friend, so you are not friends. But she is appreciative that you help us."

" But we want to be her friends, can’t we do that?" Lucinda asked pouting a little.

"Talk to Dana about that, not me." She said looking at Dana who allowed her to speak as she wanted.

"I like you, what is your name?" Lucinda asked.

"I don’t know yours, tell me your names first," Kora said and looked at Dana who nodded in agreement with her.

"I told you my name already, now tell me yours." Said Lucinda and bent to her height. Kora looked at her and then at Lucy.

"I don’t know hers." She said pointing at her.

"Ignore her, you can whisper your name to me, I won’t tell nobody," Lucinda said while whispering.

"What’s your name?" Kora asked Lucy who has been looking at her trying to figure out what the girl was. The girl didn’t seem ordinary to her.

"Lucy." She said curtly.

"Are you here with Darren?" Kora asked. "He is outside if you are worried about him."

"We know he is outside, now tell us your name, you know ours." Lucinda inquired.

"Why are you so interested in my name?" She asked. " What if I don’t want to tell you?" Kora had her eyes on Dana. She had been oddly quiet since her mind link with Lazarus ended. She tugged on the hem of her dress getting her attention.

"That’s just not fair, you know ours, now we have to know yours," Lucinda said stomping her four like a child.

"I am Kora," Kora said not dragging the issue any further. "Are you okay, Dana?" She asked. She could feel Dana’s uneasiness. "Lazarus is not badly hurt if you are worried about him, he will heal soon."

"He was hurt?" Dana asked snapping out of her thoughts. "He sounded fine when we spoke earlier."

"Yes, he got hurt on his chest when he tried to catch one of those bad people and not kill it," Kora said and made her bend forward to her, she cupped her face and said, "Don’t worry, the fight is over now and those bad people have lost we can go and take a look at Lazarus’s injuries now." 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

Dana nodded and pulled her into a hug." Okay, let’s go." Dana said and stood up with Kora in her arms.

"Don’t overwork your body, Dana, it will hurt you. You are not like Lucy and Lucinda, remember? You are a hybrid, you will get tired easily." Kora reprimanded. They walked away out of the door leaving Lucy and Lucinda alone in their thoughts.

"I know now. I haven’t done that before." Dana said with a nod. "I’ll try not to overwork myself next time."

"What will you do now? Lazarus and Raven and Ezra know about it." She asked with concern, after all, Dana had been nice to her and she knew that besides her, Dana had not told anyone about her other identity.

"I don’t know. I wanted to tell Lazarus but there was no time." Dana told her truthfully.

"Okay, I will be there if you need me, okay?" Kora said and caressed Dana’s cheek. Dana smiled and nodded. They looked ahead and saw Lazarus and Darren with some other people standing together with the body of a rogue tied down in front of them and approached them.

Back to Lucy and Lucinda,

When they heard Kora speaking to Dana they didn’t think much about it at first but when she mentioned that Lazarus was hurt just now because he tried to capture one of those things alive caught their attention. They knew she came in before that, so how did she know about Lazarus getting hurt? And Dana did not seem surprised to hear a child say something like that.

They exchanged looks with each other and followed after them. They needed to see and be sure if what Kora said was true or not.

Upon reaching the place where everyone had gathered they ran their eyes over Lazarus’ bare torso and were shocked to see that he was indeed hurt in the chest just like she said.
