Fated To The Dark Alpha
Chapter 50. Not a kid
Sebastian and Collins could be seen chained to the wall in a dark room without a trace of light. It was as if the light had abandoned it leaving it in total and complete darkness.
The wounds on their bodies had not healed, they were not healing as they should have after the battle may be due to over-exhaustion or something to them by order of the vampire lord and they have been severely beaten for the loss of so many comrades.
While Sebastian was sent to the Shadow moon pack, Collins was sent to The Jewel pack where he also lost many vampires and werewolves. They were both the leaders of the ambush in their respective packs.
After their return, and the news of their defeat was reported to the lord, he had them beaten and locked up in the darkroom without the slaughter hinting of light penetrating in. At first, even with their sight as shifters, they could not anything. It was after some time that their eyesight adjusted to the darkness and they could now see each other.
"I didn’t expect that brat to be as powerful as that," Sebastian said through clenched jaws and gritted teeth. "The next time, I will make the page for all this."
Collins looked at his friend and was lost for words. Just what was he thinking? Darren was only eighteen years old when he kill the firmer alpha of the Shadow moon pack in a single attack and yet here Sebastian was saying he did not know he was as powerful as that?
"Did you think he would be sleeping through the years while you got stronger?" Collins mocked. He mocked his current predicament and he had been doing that for five years heretofore.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Sebastian asked glaring at Collins through the t darkness. "He was lucky that was all, nothing more than just...dumb luck." Collins shook his head and wondered when Sebastian would have a brain to reason with.
’Mm." Collins hummed with a nod of his head while he looked at Sebastian as if he was looking at an idiot. "If you say so."
Noticing the sarcasm in Collins’ voice, Sebastian was annoyed and tried moving only to wince in pain feeling a wound opening up again." If your situation isn’t pitiful enough, mine is, Sebastian, I don’t want to talk about who was lucky and who wasn’t anymore." Collins said again making Sebastian growl at him but he gave a deaf ear to him and his ranting.
Outside the room,
"What should we do with them?" A vampire asked his companion. They have both heard the little talk between the former members of the Shadow moon pack.
"Lord Dmitri says that they have potential, we can’t kill them, not yet." replied the second vampire.
"It’s annoying... " The first man said and his companion turned to look at him. "What happened today, we have never suffered such a great loss before."
"It has already happened, there is nothing that we can do now."

Two days later at the Blood moon pack,
For the fore time ever, Raven had a change of expression on his face, there was a look of uncertainty, curiosity and..... Happiness? Kora could not believe what she was seeing. She thought that her eyes might be deceiving her but she knew that she saw it right.
There was a glimmer in Raven’s eyes. He had been restless since yesterday and even now. If she didn’t know why before, she does now after remembering what she had seen and told him.
"So?" Ezra asked, staring at his best friend and beta. "Are you going or not?" Raven glared at him but his eyes quickly looked away. He was feeling foreign emotions and he didn’t know how to handle them. "Do you need me to accompany you?"
"I am not a kid who needs instruction on how to approach a girl," Raven replied.
"True, but you look like you are scared out of your wits," Kira said and Raven did not know how to deal with the girl’s snarky remark. He knew if said something now, she will find something better to say and he didn’t have the time to deal with that now.
Looking away from her, he said up and walked towards the door, "When will she arrive?" He asked looking over his shoulder. His eyes met with Kota’s.
"I don’t know." Kora shrugged. Raven sighed and walked out of the pack house.
Standing outside, he looked in the direction of the human city not so far away. He could feel it, the pull. He could feel his wolf waiting to go there. If he had not known before now, he would have mistaken it to be something else. He wanted to leave but he had not seen Lazarus since had awakened early in the morning, he had to tell his aloha before leaving.
"You can take the day off, Raven." Came Lazarus’ voice from behind him. He walked over and stood next to Raven.
"Alpha!" Raven greeted with a bow that Lazarus returned with a nod.
"Go and find your mate, I and Ezra will take care of everything here," Lazarus said placing his hand on Raven’s shoulder.
"Alright, but call if you need me, Lazarus," Raven said now standing face to face with Lazarus. ’I don’t care if I have to leave her and get back here if there is trouble, I can always find her another day."
Lazarus smiled at his childhood friend. Right now they were not discussing as the Alpha and his beta but as friends who had known each other for years. "Are you sure she won’t be stolen by someone else, you know? Like, maybe a human." Lazarus teased.
The expression on Raven’s hardened a little but he said, "I will take her back if that were to ever happen."
"I believe you will. " Said Lazarus with a smile.
"I was being serious, Lazarus, and I meant it." Said Raven with a serious expression.
"I will let you know, you have my word," Lazarus said and Raven gave a nod. "Now, go and get her, bring back my beta female."
"She is in the cafe right now." Kora’s voice came from behind and then drew their attention to her. "She is beautiful," Kora said with a rare smile standing next to Lazarus.
"I will go now then," Raven said and get into a car and drove off forwards the human city feeling an adrenaline rush through him.
