Fated To The Dark Alpha
Chapter 51. Annoyed and agitated
Shadow moon pack
Darren was seated behind a desk in the alpha’s office which was inside the pack house. He had been on edge since waking up in the morning from a sleepless night. He had walked into the training grounds in the morning when the pack’s warriors were training and had beaten up and broken the bones of many pack warriors sending them to the hospital just to try to elevate his mood. Even after all that, he was still mad and even look worse than before.
Mateo and Levi had both gone head to head with him trying to calm him down they were able to sate his anger and bloodlust a little but enough to drag him away from the pack members who did not look surprised at the alpha’s actions.
Rather the look on their face was as though it was a regular occurrence they were getting used to.
Over the years since Darren became the alpha of the Shadow moon pack and was marked the Alpha Supreme of the realm, they had watched and witnessed how ruthless he could get especially the Shadow moon pack whom he had promised to punish for the wrongs that were done to him.
Darren had kept his word and tortured those that had directly or indirectly tormented him when he was still a pup with a smile on his face. The only ones who were spared were those born after had left the pack for eight years or those that were still too small to have done anything to him. It was only now that he had let them go because it was no longer enjoyable to him.
"Are you alright, Alpha ?" Mateo asked, he was standing in front of Darren while clutching his left arm in his right one as he had sustained a dislocation in his shoulder. He should have gone to have that taken care of but he was afraid if he left Darren would cause more trouble and Levi would not be able to find him back, alone.
Darren whose dark eyes were still crimson said nothing in reply and just continued to stare at the ceiling with an expressionless face. "You should try to control it sometimes you know," Mateo said again and Darren gave a glance at him before looking back up at the ceiling. "What happened last night after you went in to sleep?"
"Nothing happened," Darren replied. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
"We all know that is a lie." Said, Mateo. "You wouldn’t be like this if nothing happened." Mateo took a step closer to where Darren was seated. "Alpha supreme!" He called, his voice was not loud but it was not low either. "Alpha!" He called again when Darren did not answer.
"What?" Darren asked, closing his eyes.
"We will always be here for you." Said, Mateo, he glance to the side where Levi was sitting on a couch with a tired look on his face. He was exhausted and felt like sleeping it off but he knew that he could not do that. "Right, Levi?"
"Yes, we are." came the reply from Levi.
For a while, Darren did not say a word and just stared at Mateo and then at Levi but he stood up making the other two men alert once again ready to stop him if he was going to do something unreasonable again even when they were severely injured and their bodies were still aching.
"Get yourselves treated," Darren said standing up. "And prepare for our journey to the Blood moon pack, Levi," Darren said his voice was rough and one could tell that he was trying hard to push his lycan back from the hardened expression on his face. "We leave in an hour."
"You want to visit the Blood moon pack? Why?" Levi asked sitting in an upright position.
"I think he wants to see her," Mateo answered in place of Darren. "It has been a while since he last saw her and I heard it was her birthday yesterday."
"I see..."
"You have fifty-nine minutes left," Darren says cutting Levu short before walking out of the office and heading for his mansion. On his way those that saw him coming made way for him not just because he was the alpha but because they knew he was in a bad mood there thus a suffocating aura around him that they just couldn’t brush aside, they had also seen or heard of what he did at the training ground with the warriors and didn’t want to be next on to be sent to the hospital.
Darren paid no heed to their actions as he kept on walking, his eyes taking in the actions and reactions of the people around him and somehow it made his day.
He knew he was being cruel but he could not help as the beast in him wanted control. The fight with Sebastian and his men had him annoyed and agitated and the lack of proper rest at night made him even more so. If he couldn’t be happy then why should he let these annoying people in the pack be? He wanted to make them feel the way he felt but he also knew his position as the alpha meant to take care of the pack and protect them that was why he thought if leaving the pack for a while and the only place he could think of was the Blood moon pack where she was.
If he goes to any other pack he was sure to he will send more people to the hospital of their respective packs. He hadn’t seen the girl for years now thanks to Lazarus who had banned him from coming near her but he did not care about now, not when he knows that she was the only one who could calm his lycan and he can also have peace of mind.
Remembering what Leo had told him yesterday, he thought of what to get for her and after a few minutes of thinking he decided on what to gift her and made a phone call to have it prepared.
Soon he was ready and so was Levi. They both got into a sports car with Levi as the driver and Darren behind. A few warriors who served as the alpha’s guards followed behind them and they headed out.
