Chapter 2001 - 1562: A Tremor Across the Branches
Anthony and Negriss exchanged glances, without a doubt, the two of them were the most knowledgeable about the operation of the faith network within Ange’s team, one being the spokesperson of the Great Unified Origin of the Seven Forces, the other a ’god’ of common sense.
Do the Star Descendants have faith?
If they do, their only faith must be the main star, yet the silver coin could sense the rhythm of faith from the other?
"Does this mean that a swindler is actually its faith? Then what is its relationship with the main star? Does it not have a main star? Or is it a hierarchical system?" Negriss wondered aloud.
Ursman asked in confusion: "What is a hierarchical system?"
"It’s a system with one Master God and multiple Subordinate Gods, descending in a tiered fashion, like the Church of Light... oh, you’re not from the Chaos Plane, so you don’t know about the Church of Light," Negriss said.
"I do know about it, you all came from there, I’ve already inquired about it clearly, are the Lord and we now also part of this hierarchical system?" Ursman asked.
"Uh, not really, he belongs to a multiple-system, possessing a bunch of God Statuses, each God Status having its own Subordinate Gods, but we establish a Soul Contact with him, sharing the entire faith network, meaning that even if we’re not Subordinate Gods under this system, we can still borrow the Divine Power of this God Status," Negriss explained.
"A mixed system? So that’s how it is, then what position do I hold in this system?" Ursman asked.
Negriss looked at him with a complex expression and said: "Strictly speaking, you do not belong to the God System, you belong to the Heroic Spirit System."
"What is the Heroic Spirit System?" Ursman asked.
Negriss said: "Essentially, you don’t exist, but there was once a person called Ursman, whom everyone referred to as the Wise Man, believing him to be omnicognizant, with unparalleled wisdom, thus everyone imagined there was an extraordinarily wise Wise Man. This collective imagination was captured by Ange, forming you."
"So you’re a Spiritual Body created with Ursman as a prototype, collectively imagined and recreated by the masses, and ultimately brought into being by Ange, and endowed with thinking ability by my Bronze Book. Of course, now you have a body and consciousness and can think even without the Bronze Book," Negriss explained.
Ursman was not surprised by what Negriss said, as he already knew most of it, just not so systematically. After pondering for a while, he said: "So I’m a created Heroic Spirit, part of the same system as the Little Angel?"
Negriss blinked several times and said with some realization: "By that logic, you really are part of the same system, the difference being that the Little Angel is the imagination of God, while you are the collective imagination, hence one is a Heroic Spirit, and the other is a Holy Spirit."
Ursman thought for a moment and asked: "If the Lord needed to, could he create many Wise Men based on my prototype?"
Negriss nodded: "Yes, but they would merely be a prototype, without your memories, they would at most be Wise Men, not you."
Ursman gave Negriss a somewhat surprised look and exclaimed: "Lord Nage, are you comforting me?"
Negriss blushed, fearing his words might lead Ursman into self-doubt, as a Heroic Spirit is essentially a spiritual body imagined by a group and created out of thin air, fundamentally different from the ’Ursman’ in his memory.
"Thank you very much, but this issue isn’t enough to confound my wisdom," Ursman said with a smile, then added:
"The Lord can duplicate memories, theoretically creating countless versions of me, but this is also a good thing, it means I can live eternally in the Lord’s memory." 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
Negriss shrugged: "Alright, it seems you have enough wisdom to resolve this confusion."
The greatest confusion of life is ’Who am I?’, and this confusion is a particularly crucial substantive issue within Ange’s group, for most people were ’created’ by Ange.
Indeed, they possess bodies and consciousness within the Dimensional Space, but essentially, their consciousnesses were also copied into the Dimensional Space by Ange. Those from the Chaos Plane, during Ange’s battle with the Red Giant Ball, are already deceased.
Although Ursman is a local Heroic Spirit, the Heroic Spirit is fundamentally created by Ange, he too faces the same confusion as those from the Chaos Plane.
Negriss worried about potential issues with his self-perception, wanting to comfort him, unexpectedly he didn’t see it as a confusion at all, which might have been overthinking on its part.
While Negriss was discussing Heroic Spirits with Ursman, the silver coin had already approached the Blue Elf again, immediately saying: "You said some things earlier that I found very reasonable, not giving any money, are you trying to starve me? I’ve never heard such reasonable words."
The Blue Elf exclaimed with delight: "You agree that it’s reasonable, right? I said there would certainly be someone who understands me, while we’re here, we’re constantly consuming power..."
"Time cost," silver coin said.
"Yes, yes, time cost, time also has a cost. The time I consume, the power I expend, the God Light I bask in, all have a cost, yet some people want to take information from me without giving any money," the Blue Elf said disdainfully.
"Depreciation, lifespan, wear, damage, all non-reversible consumption should be counted as depreciation," the silver coin said.
"Depreciation? Depreciation is non-reversible consumption? It makes sense, what about power? What about the God Light? Can these be reversed?" the Blue Elf inquired humbly.
"These can be calculated as..." the silver coin conducted a lesson on cost accounting for the other party.
The Blue Elf felt that what the silver coin said was very much in line with its own understanding, inadvertently considering the silver coin as a kindred spirit, listened very attentively, completely overlooking the ’Divine Light’ of the faith system flickering on the silver coin.
The Divine Light of the faith system can only be seen by those of the faith system, and Anthony, noticing the Divine Light on the silver coin, exclaimed in surprise: "Can it really gather faith?"
"The God Light appeared so quickly, this Star Descendant’s Faith Elemental Force is strong," Xisluo said as he leaned over.
Xisluo, also a God, primarily studying Mysticism, understood well how much Faith Elemental Force it takes for the God Light to appear. The silver coin had no Divine Power, yet now shows God Light, relying solely on the faith of a Star Descendant?
Everyone’s attention was on the silver coin and Blue Elf, and just then, Ange suddenly put down the Space-Time Chessboard, looking around curiously.
Luomu Luo’er, noticing Ange’s odd behavior, also looked around curiously, and after a dozen seconds, Luomu Luo’er’s expression changed drastically, eyes wide with disbelief as he stared at Ange.
His and Ange’s unusual reaction drew the attention of others, Anthony hurriedly asked: "What’s wrong? What happened?"
Luomu Luo’er said: "My main body felt a tremor."
"You’re so scared, what kind of tremor? Was it intense?" Negris asked.
Luomu Luo’er ignored him, looking at Ange, asked: "What do you feel?"
"A tremor," Ange said.
Everyone looked at each other, seemingly thinking it was significant, but not knowing in what way.
Luomu Luo’er said: "He felt a tremor, and a dozen seconds later, I felt a tremor too."
Anthony blinked and then suddenly drew a sharp breath: "A tremor felt here, and a tremor also felt at your main body? A tremor that crossed the branch?"
