Foreign Land Reclamation By a Vegetable-growing Skeleton
Chapter 2000 - 1561: Do Star Descendants Also Believe in the God of Fraudsters?
"Turns out the King of Alchemy doesn’t know everything at a glance, yet you dare to call yourself the King of Alchemy, pfft." Negris scoffed.
"Unlike you, God of Common Sense who knows nothing of common sense." Durken retorted, mutual harm indeed, bring it on, who’s afraid?
Anthony, tired of dealing with them, turned to the Elf Star Descendant and asked, "Do you know this method of processing White Crystal?"
The Elf Star Descendant replied, "No, it was already sealed when the main star gifted it to us."
Luomu Luo’er interjected, "Such capabilities must belong to the God Star; how could they possibly know it?"
Anthony turned to him, "Do you know it?"
Luomu Luo’er blushed, "I don’t have any Star Descendants to send out, what’s the use of knowing this stuff."
"You’re the Branch Lord and don’t even know this? Shouldn’t the God Stars of your branch know? Have you never asked?" Anthony questioned in wonder.
"What’s the point of asking? Each God Star has numerous abilities, even if I asked about each one, I couldn’t remember them all." Luomu Luo’er replied irritably.
Anthony nodded thoughtfully, guessing Luomu Luo’er’s mindset: as Branch Lord, Luomu Luo’er is already quite the invincible God Star, unless facing beasts like the Time-Space Ancient Dragon and Exotic Ghost.
Sending Star Descendants on journeys is clearly not something he needs to consider, hence he never learned such an ability.
This mindset isn’t uncommon among creatures, like the chieftains in the Mountain Tribe or the Island Masters living on isolated islands; they don’t need these skills, so they’re uninterested in learning.
Once they feel the need, his Star Descendants will have already perished, leaving him even less motivated.
Otherwise, given his power and status as Branch Lord, by nurturing a batch of Star Descendants and experimenting for a while, he should be able to learn.
There must be many God Stars with this mindset in the Void, but hasn’t anyone thought of joining forces against the Time-Space Ancient Dragon?
"There have, Lord Anthony. Our previous main star formed the Star Alliance and some God Stars founded the Lonely Star Republican Branch, fighting independently yet supporting each other. If one God Star encounters trouble, other Lonely Stars will find ways to help. Additionally, there’s the Five-Star Community, a union formed by five God Stars, among various other alliances." the Elf Star Descendant explained.
"Are they all concentrated in your branch?" Anthony asked.
"Everything I mentioned is concentrated in our branch, though I’ve heard of similar God Star alliances arising elsewhere, but the distance is too far for me to know the specifics." the Elf Star Descendant replied.
Anthony nodded, this made sense; as the Time-Space Ancient Dragon applies greater pressure on the God Stars across the Void, they would naturally choose to unite and resist together.
"Where should I go to find clues on this processing method now?" Anthony inquired.
The Elf Star Descendants exchanged glances and replied, "We’re going to buy information, please wait a moment."
Silver Coin quickly said, "I’ll go too."
Feeling bored staying here, Negris and the others immediately said, "We’re coming too, let’s go together."
Silver Coin may have mastered trading tactics, but wasn’t as familiar with this place as the Elf Star Descendant, making it difficult to find the right person, rendering even the best tactics useless.
Rather, the Elf Star Descendant adeptly found the right person, who also happened to be an Elf Star Descendant, though the Divine Light on him differed slightly, indicating they belonged to different main stars.
Seeing the two Elf Star Descendants approach, the counterpart hesitated, intent scanning repeatedly over the Elf Star Descendant.
The Elf Star Descendant understood his confusion, quickly saying, "Blue, it’s us."
"It’s really you? Your light is off, why has it turned purple? What happened to your main star?" the Blue Elf Star Descendant asked in shock. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
"Some things happened, the main star is fine, but we were polluted." the Purple Elf Star Descendant explained.
"Pollution?" the Blue Elf Star Descendant felt unfamiliar with the term, repeating it in puzzlement.
Originally, Star Descendants were nameless and speechless, communicating internally via thoughts; the Star Descendants born from the Little Fireman Divine Star use language because they need to interact with the Ancient Man Snake.
These Star Descendants were dispatched here to exchange information, yet belonging to different main stars equates to being alien races.
When communicating with alien races, they hadn’t established enough trust to dare using thoughts, thus the demand for language arose.
But language is learned on the fly, lacking depth, requiring many terms to gradually enrich through exchanges; pollution being one such term not previously used by the Blue Elf.
However, these Star Descendants have a distinct advantage: once they learn new terms, by exchanging consciousness within their kin, all fellow Star Descendants will acquire the new vocabulary.
The Elf Star Descendant explained the meaning of pollution, though they were deceitful; it was not pollution, but rather replacement.
Unexpectedly, the Blue Elf did not think they would lie, thus accepting the interpretation and inquired about their intentions.
"We’re seeking crucial information, but the opposite party wants the method of processing White Crystal; you’re knowledgeable about it, right?" the Elf Star Descendant asked.
"How could I possibly know? I’m not a God Star; even if I knew the method, I wouldn’t have the power. Heard it needs to be done under immense pressure, you should consult a God Star." the Blue Elf replied.
The Elf Star Descendant asked, "Where should I ask for which God Star?"
The Blue Elf flicked a certain limb, a spark of Star Flame burst forth.
The Elf Star Descendant muttered, "This also needs money..." and began bargaining, ultimately settling at one-sixth of a Star Flame.
Upon receiving the Star Flame, the Blue Elf laughed, "Everything in the Void demands energy expenditure; even talking here continually consumes energy, you think you can starve me without pay?"
Behind, Silver Coin blinked an eye and chuckled.
The Blue Elf continued, "You can consult the Dark Star Chain Link, here’s their contact method."
After smoothly obtaining the contact details and distancing themselves, Silver Coin suddenly asked, "Do you have any religions within your Star Descendants? Do they worship anything?"
"Religion? How could we? We believe in the main star; everything we have is bestowed by it, there’s no way we could have religions. If religions existed, every main star would be the sole faith of its Star Descendants." the Elf Star Descendant answered.
Knowing Silver Coin wouldn’t just ask randomly, Anthony queried, "Did you notice something?"
Silver Coin replied, "When that Blue Elf said ’you think you can starve me without pay?’, my God Status stirred, its faith is very pure, deeply devout, and extremely fervent."
