Guide To Train My Beast Husbands
Chapter 346: A Lovesick Fool
Hei Ya was shocked and upset when he heard Shao Xia’s words. His sister had at least tried to save face for him by not telling the truth out loud, but what was this woman doing? She had placed everything out in the open. He was about to open his mouth and say that it was not the truth when Xiao Ya, who was standing beside Shao Xia, rushed forward and then slapped Hei Ya on the face.
Her actions were harsh and cruel, leaving no face for Hei Ya, who was knocked off his feet and fell on the ground.
Hei Ya never expected that Xiao Ya would make a move and even slap him. His face turned red, but not due to anger, but humiliation. He looked at the woman in front of him and wanted to say something, but before he could even say anything, Leader Xie, who had been drawn over because of the loud ruckus, walked over. Her face was shrouded with clouds, and she looked like she was about to lose her temper.
She coldly glanced at Hei Ya, who was on the floor and then glanced at Hei Bin. With a calm yet cold voice, she asked, "Just what is going on?"
As soon as she finished questioning, she turned to look at Hei Bin, whose face turned cold. She turned to look at Shao Xia, who was still looking at the two siblings, was filled with resentment. She pursed her lips and clenched her fists. This woman was really too much. She had done so much when she was working in her team, and yet she was looking at her with resentment.
All these times, she had taken so many risks while she was working in Shao Xia’s team, and yet when it came down to it, she was actually planning on throwing the blame on their heads.
The two of them had been working together for so long, and yet Shao Xia did not think twice before attacking her. Just this alone made Hei Bin tremble in fright; this woman—she was really, really terrifying.
"Leader Xie, I–"
"There is no need to say anything, Hei Ya. All I can say is that I am very disappointed in you. I always thought that you were pitiful because your parents were gone when you were very young, and because of that, you ended up developing a rather naive and dependent personality, but I never thought that you would do something so foolish. I cannot believe that you would end up listening to someone’s instigation and hurt Ruan Chanchan in return. Since you dared to do such a thing, even if I want to take care of you, I cannot turn a blind eye to this."
As soon as she finished speaking, Hei Bin knelt on the ground. "Leader Xie, please let him off. I know that what he did was something really foolish, but he did not mean to. He just acted like a fool in love. Please let him off this one time. I only have this one brother!"
Hei Bin knew that if Hei Ya was dragged to the punishment grounds, then his future would be over. He had tried to harm the benefactor of the tribe; that alone would be enough to make him suffer for a long time, and if Xie Daiyu insisted that Hei Ya should be executed, then no one would be able to stop him. Hei Bin was worried that things would get out of her control if she did not stop them from escalating, but how was she supposed to do that?
She had no other choice but to bow down and apologise in the hope that Leader Xie would be kind enough to let go of her brother.
"Hei Bin, do you even realise what you are saying? Hei Ya is your only brother, but isn’t Ruan Chanchan the only hope of our tribe? Your brother foolishly listened to the instigation of others and harmed Ruan Chanchan, causing so much agony to my brother! Do you even know how my brother has been living these past few days? He is worried out of his mind! Every day when he wakes up, he looks at his mark to make sure that Ruan Chanchan is alive."
Xie Suicheng was filled with fury when he recalled how his brother had been living these past few weeks; he was alive, but his soul was clearly missing. His poor brother suffered so much, and now Hei Bin wanted to let this matter go with just a simple scolding? There was no way he was going to allow that to happen.
Hei Bin knew that things were slowly getting out of control, but she had no idea what to do.
Xiao Ya, who listened to the words of the tribe leader, could not help but frown. She couldn’t help but say, "Leader Xie, you are wronging others by saying that Hei Ya was instigated by someone. It was all his mistake that he tried to harm Ruan Chanchan. Why are you implying that someone asked him to do it?"
"I never said that you were the one who initiated the attack, so why are you being so agitated?" sneered Leader Xie coldly. She obviously knew who was behind the instigation now that she knew who the culprit was, but she was not foolish enough to say it outright. She knew that there was no evidence; even if she tried to pull the two of them down, Shao Xia and Xiao Ya would never admit that they were the ones who instigated Hei Ya.
Xiao Ya choked. Her face turned red as she stammered, "I did not mean that. What I meant was that the leader was blaming the wrong person. The person who attacked Ruan Chanchan is clearly Hei Ya. Yet you insist that he had been used by someone...isn’t it wrong? As the one who was the culprit, he should be the one to bear all the charges why are you pulling someone else down with him?"
