Hei Ya felt like he had fallen into an ice cave. He knew that Xiao Ya was not particularly fond of him, but he never thought that the woman would actually pit him in such a manner. For the sake of avoiding any entanglements, she wanted him to take over the blame completely. Even when she knew that it could possibly kill him!

He lowered his head, and a despondent glint flashed in his eyes; he wanted to say that he was being wronged, but he couldn’t because in the end he had no proof, as he had been played to death! His sister was right. He was a fool who thought that he was too smart. Now look at this; he had been made the scapegoat without being given a chance to fight back. At this rate, it would not be a surprise that he would be killed. Who asked him to act like a fool?

Hei Bin, on the other hand, couldn’t stay still any longer. She got to her feet and punched Xiao Ya in the face. This bitch really thought that she could run her mouth as she wanted, and there was no one to protect Hei Ya, did she?

Leader Xie watched the two of them fight coldly. What a mess. They could have lived peacefully, but one had to be a fool who was doing her best to protect her brother, while the other was trying her best to live up to the expectations of her saviour. Xiao Ya was very angry. She wanted to fight it off with Hei Bin, but the woman was too sneaky and dealt with her in just a matter of a few attacks.

"Who else can you blame but yourself?" one of the totem warriors snickered when he saw the condition of the woman. "Hei Bin is weaker than you, but she still beat you up. Who can you blame but yourself for being useless?"

Xiao Ya was furious, but she did not say anything. She could only glare at these people who were treating her like she had done something wrong. The one who did something wrong was Hei Ya. Leader Xia calmly looked at the muttering woman and then turned her gaze away. She had always been unsupportive of letting her son mate with Shao Xia, and it seemed like she was not in the wrong. This woman was really ruthless; she could use people like pawns who meant nothing at all. She used Xiao Ya, she used Yuan Ni and she used Hei Ya.

It was a good thing that Yuan Ni was currently locked up and did not have the chance to look for Ruan Chanchan, or else he would have created trouble like Ruan Zeqiu. That mer had already tried to sneak out of the tribe twelve times!

If not for the fact that Xie Daiyu talked with him and told him that he needed to stay behind for his nieces or nephews, that mer would have gone to look for Ruan Chanchan on his own. How reckless that might be!

Leader Xie did not say anything, nor did she ask Hei Ya to tell the name of the culprit.
