Chapter 99: Chaosgraphy and Crimson Halo’s Sets (1)
Chaosgraphy stood before the Triple-Headed Wooden Wolf Boss in her new equipment set and looked far more like a queen of wolves than the beast itself ever could. Black leather and lacquered dark wood traced her waist and hips in sharp, flattering lines, while silver fang motifs and thin crimson accents gave her a predatory beauty that felt both regal and dangerous.
Every part of the outfit made her look devastatingly confident, as though she had not simply come to fight, but to rule the battlefield.
Behind her, Crimson Halo stood in white and silver, and the contrast only made the scene hotter. Her refined robes hugged her figure at the waist before flowing down in elegant layers, while the crimson lining, delicate fang chains, and moonlit details turned her holy appearance into something far more sensual than she wanted to admit.
She looked like a sacred beauty wrapped in grace, trying very hard not to admit that the set made her look exactly like the priest mommy she would never call herself.
The Triple-Headed Wooden Wolf Boss lowered its three heads and filled the throne room with the groan of strained timber. It was massive even on all fours, a hulking beast of dark bark, root-thick muscles, and plated wood that looked half grown and half forged.
The left head burned with a red glow deep inside its jaws, the middle head dripped green sap between its teeth, and the right head watched in lacquer-black silence, as if it existed only to make the other two worse.
When it roared, all three maws opened together, and the sound rolled through the throne room like a forest breaking in a storm.
Chaosgraphy smiled. "Still not enough to impress me."
Crimson Halo opened her tome, and white moonlight spilled over the silver edges of its pages. She did not remain planted in the rear. Instead, she moved at once to Chaosgraphy’s back-left side, matching her angle the way a shadow matched a body.
Time spent supporting Martin had taught her exactly where a frontline fighter needed her to be, and now she glided with quiet certainty into the position from which she could watch both Chaosgraphy and the boss at once.
"Do try not to look too pleased," Crimson Halo said. "You have not even started yet."
"Oh, but I already am," Chaosgraphy replied, and the wolf lunged.
Its first charge cracked the floor.
Crimson Halo moved with it. A white barrier bloomed around Chaosgraphy in a ring of moonlit sigils, and Wolf Pride settled over her immediately.
Chaosgraphy felt it at once in the sharpened readiness of her body, the brighter tension in her muscles, and the certainty that every step forward would hit harder.
She met the charge head-on. Her opening dash cut low across the front leg, and the extra momentum behind it turned the first strike into a sharp, clean wound. One Pride Mark flashed over the boss.
She slid past the snapping red head, twisted at the waist, and drove her second blade into the same side with a Lunge that bit deeper than the first cut.

The boss whipped around with shocking speed for something so large, but Chaosgraphy was already moving. She glided just outside the next bite, slipped back in at the flank, and let her boots carry her faster as she hunted the marked target.
The first hit after that burst of movement landed even harder than it should have, and another pair of slashes carved across bark and root. A second Pride Mark appeared before the beast could properly answer.
[Steps of the Alpha Chase (Orange)]

San Kumoe rushed in right after her. The little three-headed pup looked almost cute for half a second before the left head sank its teeth into the boss’s hind leg. A red ripple spread from the bite and made the wound flare brighter.
The middle head sprang up next and pressed a soft green glow into Chaosgraphy’s barrier, restoring the damaged shield as naturally as breath, and then the third head lifted, barked fiercely, and doubled both effects with puppy-bright savagery.
"Good girl," Chaosgraphy said.
Crimson Halo’s mouth softened for a moment, but she never broke formation. She drifted with Chaosgraphy’s next angle, always half a step behind and never in the way, her robe hems skimming the floor as she maintained the same clean support lane.
The boss’s right head finally acted and released a black howl that sharpened the red head’s killing intent and fed the green head’s regeneration. Fresh bark crawled over the damaged leg even as its claws crashed down hard enough to shatter stone.
Crimson Halo had already seen the line of danger. "Purify."
Moonlight flashed across Chaosgraphy in a vertical sheet. The sticky splinter curse clinging to her barrier shattered before it could settle, and the minor bleed from a grazing claw vanished with it.
[Crimson Halo’s Equipment]
[Gospel of the Proud Moon (Orange)]

[Effect: Healing, barrier, and purification skills apply Wolf Pride to the target for 6 seconds. Wolf Pride grants 6% Lifesteal, 8% Final Damage, and 15% Crowd Control Resistance. Chaosgraphy laughed softly and pressed harder. Now that she had stayed on the same target long enough, her jacket answered. Her attack rhythm sharpened, one slash becoming two and then four, while the sound of steel biting wood turned fast and vicious.
Her off-hand strikes started snapping with even more force as her glove effect joined the sequence, and when she finished the chain, a fresh burst of speed carried her around the boss’s shoulder before the beast could pin her down.
By then, the third and fourth Pride Marks were already stacked on the boss.
