I Got Cheated On and Ended Up in A Beast World
Chapter 80 - Eighty: Lanying
Lanying stepped onto the damp earth of the courtyard, her presence immediately commanding the space.
Her blue gauze wear rippled around her ankles like soft, rhythmic waves, carrying a distinct, heavy scent of fresh sea salt and pure, ancient ocean power.
Despite having just spent five agonizing hours ripping the purple vortex apart with her bare hands, she looked completely pristine. Not a single speck of dirt had dared to touch her boots, and her skin possessed a flawless, pearl-like glow under the recovering night sky.
Her piercing ocean-blue eyes darted across the empty village square before snapping directly onto Lin Wan, who was sitting silently on the wooden steps of the porch.
Lanying didn’t look at Lin Wan’s face or her exposed features. Instead, her entire divine sea core was vibrating violently within her chest, pulled by an invisible, magnetic thread.
She had been wandering aimlessly around the borders of the southern territory for months, completely lost in her own long years of searching, when a sudden, explosive surge of pure bloodline energy had violently shaken her soul.
For eons, she had been forced to live with a hollow ache in her heart. Decades ago, her son had been torn from her arms by the ruthless Leopard tribe leader, Wang’s grandfather, who had stolen the infant away to ensure the high-grade land beast line remained dominant.
Due to severe restrictions, ancient realm laws, and hidden complications she could never overcome, Lanying had been completely blocked from ever entering the Leopard tribe’s territory to find him.
She had been forced to wander the vast lands for years, a mother without a home, tracking ghost whispers.
But tonight, the heavens had split open. The sheer purity of the bloodline resonance that had just erupted from this tiny hill was something she could feel in her very marrow.
It was the undeniable, ancient call of the Sea Sovereign lineage, pulsing with a power so immense it had literally challenged the sky.
Lanying took a sharp step forward, her voice trembling with a heavy, raw mixture of desperate hope and ancient maternal instinct. "Where is he? Where is my Cub? I felt his aura around here."
Lin Wan sat perfectly still on the wooden steps, her hands resting flat against her knees.
Her pale face remained entirely expressionless, the cold, rigid stone walls she had just built around her heart completely shielding her emotions from the powerhouse standing before her.
She didn’t flinch from the heavy ocean aura rolling off the woman. She simply looked straight into Lanying’s desperate blue eyes and spoke with a flat, blunt honesty that cut through the damp air like a knife.
"He isn’t here," Lin Wan said, her voice completely devoid of any warmth. "Wang left us."
Lanying froze, her long fingers curling inward as a sudden, turbulent wave of blue energy flickered around her shoulders. Her mind instantly went to the darkest possibilities, imagining that her long-lost cub had been hunted down, captured, or killed by the ruthless factions of the upper realms who feared their bloodline.
Her voice dropped into a dangerous, low rumble that made the dirt beneath her boots vibrate. "What do you mean he left? Did the clans take him? Did that vile old beast from the peaks finally track him down?!"
"No," Lin Wan interrupted coldly, her analytical gaze never wavering. "Nobody took him. He didn’t die, and he wasn’t dragged away. He knew exactly what he was. He knew that I was heavily pregnant with these cubs, and he knew the sheer scale of the danger and the enemies that were coming for them. Yet, he still chose to vanish into thin air. He left me entirely alone in this hut to face the pressure of the upper realm and give birth by myself. He has never once returned to check if we are alive or dead."
The shift in Lanying was immediate and utterly devastating. The desperate, protective terror of a searching mother instantly hardened into a freezing, razor-sharp rage, mixed with a deep, crushing wave of profound disappointment.
As a noble daughter of the Sea Sovereigns, the act of abandoning a pregnant mate and leaving vulnerable newborns to face the judgment of the heavens was the ultimate, unforgivable sin against nature.
Lanying’s jaw locked, her teeth gnashing together so hard the sound echoed on the porch. Her blue aura turned dark and violent, swirling around her like a turbulent, stormy tide.
"I am very disappointed in him," Lanying hissed, her voice thick with a bitter, venomous sorrow. "I thought he’d be different from that Beast, but what could I expect from someone that beast raised, but it still doesn’t give him the right to neglect his family!"
Lin Wan watched her storm-like fury without saying a word. Deep inside her own mind, she faintly connected her awareness back to the private pocket space of her black box mansion to check on the situation.
The moment her mental senses crossed the threshold into the modern master bedroom, the heavy, serious atmosphere of the outside world was instantly obliterated by a wave of pure, unadulterated chaos.
Inside the pristine, white master bedroom, a completely different kind of war was raging.
Qin Mo and Long Zhan had been driven absolutely, completely crazy by the three newborn triplets.
The two most feared, powerful sovereigns of the lower realm were currently entirely disheveled.
Their long hair was a wild, knotted mess, their faces were covered in sweat, and their clothes were severely wrinkled and twisted around their waistbands from crawling across the floor.
Since Lin Wan had strictly ordered them that they would officially name the babies together once she returned to the surface, the two kings had literally spent the last five hours calling the infants by temporary markers.
"Hold First Son properly, stinky dragon!" Qin Mo barked, his face twitching with absolute exhaustion as he hovered over the plush modern mattress.
He was currently holding Second Son and Third Son in both of his long arms, but the babies were making his life a living hell.
One second he was cradling a soft, furry white leopard cub, and the very next second, a crackle of blue light would pop, and a slippery, wet mermaid tail would slide right through his elegant fingers, forcing the great Snake King to desperately dive across the modern bed sheets to catch the baby before it tumbled onto the carpet.
Long Zhan was currently sitting flat on his knees on the floor, his massive frame looking entirely out of place against the neat, geometric lines of the modern room.
He was carefully holding First Son, who had currently shifted into the form of a smooth, chubby human infant. Long Zhan was frozen as stiff as a statue, his violet eyes wide with a terrifying level of panic, completely terrified that his immense dragon strength would accidentally crush the fragile little body if he moved a single muscle too fast.
Suddenly, First Son opened his tiny, ocean-blue eyes, let out a soft, bubbly little giggle, and instantly shot a warm, pressurized stream of fluid directly up into the center of Long Zhan’s face and across his collar.
The mighty Lord of the Northern Peaks froze entirely, the warm fluid dripping down his nose.
"Damn snake!" Long Zhan roared, his face turning a deep, explosive crimson as he tried to wipe his eyes with his shoulder without dropping the baby. "Come change First Son right now! He is leaking again! Why are cubs so leaky?!"
"Shut your mouth, lizard!" Qin Mo shouted back, his voice cracking as Third Son suddenly shifted back into a leopard form and dug his tiny newborn claws directly into the silver hair hanging near Qin Mo’s collar. "I am currently trying to stop Third Son from shifting into a fish and suffocating himself on the blankets! If you drop First Son, I will personally skin your tail!"
The two sovereigns, who could normally flatten entire mountains with a wave of their hands, were currently completely humbled, bickering like two stressed housewives over three tiny infants who didn’t even have teeth yet.
Back on the surface, Lin Wan pulled her awareness away from the chaotic bickering inside the space, a tiny, почти invisible twitch of amusement touching the very corner of her lips before her eyes focused back on Lanying.
Lanying’s dark, stormy aura slowly began to recede as she calmed her ocean core, her sharp blue eyes scanning the empty wooden porch and the quiet bedroom behind the open door.
She couldn’t sense the spatial domain at all. Even with her immense, heaven-defying cultivation rank, the modern parameters of the black box mansion were completely invisible to her divine senses.
She couldn’t feel a single trace of the three newborns who had just shaken the entire planet.
Lanying turned her gaze back to Lin Wan, her voice softening slightly but remaining intensely serious. "Where are the children? I know they were just born. I can feel the residual energy of the delivery on your body, but I cannot see them. Where have you hidden my grandchildren?"
Lin Wan met her gaze directly, her posture rigid. She could never bring herself to trust this new mother-in-law so suddenly, regardless of how many hours she had spent fighting the clouds.
In this brutal beastworld, power was fickle, and secrets were the only thing that kept a person alive. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
"They are in a safe place," Lin Wan said, her voice cool and completely unyielding. She leaned forward slightly, her eyes narrowing.
"You can only see the cubs if you take a strict, binding oath right now. You must swear that you will never tell anybody in the upper, middle, or lower realms about what you see here today, and you must vow that you will never harbor a single bad thought or malicious intent toward me or my family."
Lin Wan demanded this because she understood the core reality of this continent.
The beastworld possessed an incredibly rigid, absolute belief system rooted deeply in the cosmic laws.
In this world, an ordinary promise meant nothing, but a formal oath spoken aloud by a high ranked beast carried a heavy, spiritual weight.
Moreover, if Lanying truly agreed and spoke the words, the only way Lin Wan could be absolutely sure of her sincerity was if the higher laws of the world acknowledged it.
Lanying didn’t hesitate for even a fraction of a second. She understood the fierce, defensive caution of a mother who had just been abandoned by her mate.
Raising her right hand toward the clearing sky, her ocean-blue eyes flashed with absolute solemnity as she spoke each word with the full force of her core.
"I, Lanying of the Sea Sovereign lineage, do hereby swear upon my own soul and my divine core," she announced, her voice echoing clearly across the quiet valley. "I vow to never reveal the existence, the location, or the traits of these children to any living soul in any realm. I swear to never harbor a single malicious thought, harmful intent, or betrayal toward this female or her family. If I break this vow, let my core shatter into dust."
The exact moment the final word left her lips, a sudden, bright flash of golden light descended silently from the upper atmosphere, wrapping gently around Lanying’s wrist before dissolving into her skin.
The heavenly Dao had officially accepted the vow, locking the spiritual seal into her soul.
Seeing the golden reaction of the heavenly Dao, the heavy tension in Lin Wan’s shoulders finally eased a fraction.
The contract was absolute; Lanying could never betray them now even if she wanted to.
Lanying lowered her hand, looking at Lin Wan with a gaze filled with deep, protective respect. "My foolish son might have run away like a coward, but his mother is still alive. From this day forward, I will stay right here by your side. I will take care of you and guard these cubs in Wang’s place, and no one from the beast city or the upper realm will ever dare to touch a single hair on your head."
