Ken looked away from his system screen, there was no time for that now.

He looked around. Those men had rushed in every direction, so he had to pick somewhere and move. There was only so much that he could do when fifty people were running free.

He clenched his jaw and looked around, decided to head in the direction of his home. He charged that way at full speed, running fast while keeping his head low and eyes open to see anything fast.

He rushed past a corner, and inside, one of the men had stabbed an older man right through the chest, and the man was on the ground bleeding, while stretching his hands to his granddaughter, no more than ten, who was getting pulled by her hair by the man that had stabbed her grandfather.

"Papaaaaaaa!" she screamed, her eyes red and swollen from crying. She stretched her hands, trying her best to reach her grandfather, but no matter how much she stretched, there was nothing that she could do now that she was caught by the man.

The old man watched in horror, his hands placed on his chest that was bleeding out. He was slowly losing himself, but he still wanted to save his little girl at any cost.

He stretched further and then fell to the ground, but before he hit the ground, Ken caught him and helped him up.

"Stay still, old man, your wounds are lethal." After saying that, Ken bolted, moving as fast as his legs could humanly allow him to move. He crossed the distance, the man turned around only to be met with a punch right to the face, shattering the mask that he wore and slamming his head into the side of a wall.

Blood gushed out instantly, the man groaned in pain, he let go of the girl, and she immediately ran to go help her grandfather. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

The man looked at Ken, he realized that Ken was the kid that had showed up a few minutes ago, but there was no time for him to worry about what happened, he went for a slash quick.

Ken stepped back and dodged the attack before proceeding to dig a punch deep into the guts of the man. He leaned forward in pain and coughed blood, Ken grabbed him by the neck and hurled him into another wall hard, he hit the wall and broke an arm.

"Urghhhhhhh," the man groaned in pain and got to his feet slowly, filled with anger and rage. He suddenly ripped off the top side of his shirt with the help of his teeth and his sword, revealing a magical formation on his chest.

"I’ll kill you," he yelled, and the magical formation glowed, increasing his strength by several folds. He charged ahead and went for a slash, it was faster and more refined than the last, forcing Ken to actually concentrate to dodge the slash. He pulled back fast and evaded the attack.

Ken then kneed him in the guts hard, grabbed his head and rammed it hard into the wall, cracking the wall and bouncing the man back.

The man, still filled with anger, charged at Ken again and attacked with a thrust, only for Ken to sidestep and kick the sword out of his hands. Ken followed up by kicking the man in the chest, throwing him back, before spinning and kicking the sword that was coming from above, and it tore through the air like a spear, stabbing the man right through the heart.

The man looked at the sword that was in his chest and could not believe it, his eyes were wide open, he collapsed to the ground and died.

Ken walked away from the body, he looked at the little girl. "Help your grandfather get some help before he bleeds out."

Before the girl could reply or thank him, he already left, moving faster than her eyes could track, still on his way to take out the rest.

At the same time, in the forest, Luna was standing on a tree branch, watching what was happening in the town, and her expression said it all, she was worried for Ken, deeply.

She wanted to listen to him and stay out, but the fear that someone would hurt him grew too much in her heart. She bit her lower lip as she fought against her own feelings, and after what seemed like a pretty long time, she finally made up her mind. She leaped down from the tree, she rushed back to Ken’s camp and picked one of his shirts, using it as a makeshift hoodie to cover her ears, and then she rushed to the town.

"Forgive me, Ken," she muttered before entering the town, and not long after, she spotted two women running away from one of the attackers.

Luna wasted no time, she muttered under her breath while moving her hands forward at the same time, a massive root erupted from the ground and wrapped around the attacker, twisting tight around him until the popping of bones could be heard.

"Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" the man screamed like a wild goat as he struggled to break free, but no matter what he did, he could not escape.

She didn’t kill him though, leaving him paralyzed, she dropped him to the floor and then turned her attention back to the town to find Ken and make sure that he was fine. She ran through the town, her ears picking up screams around her, and whenever she heard one, she would intervene fast and take down the attacker.

"This town has always been removed from everything, why did they suddenly get attacked out of nowhere? It doesn’t make sense, who would even come this far out into a remote town for an attack?" Luna wondered to herself as she searched.
