I'll Just Be Overpowered
Chapter 21: I’ll be Damned
"You took down all the rest yourself?" Ken said in a stunned voice after Luna told him. It turned out that in searching for him, she ran into the attackers that remained and took them down, their numbers were nothing to her at all.
"They were attacking your home, so I had to do something," she replied.
"I guess I underestimated the kind of strength that you have," he replied.
Now that all the attackers were gone, there was no point in him staying here, and he also wanted to gather information from the one they had captured.
The other attackers were either dead or so beat up that they could not even move or talk.
They left the town before the people could even recognize what had happened. Some had witnessed both of them save the town and some were still hiding, but before anyone was fully sure of what was happening, they had left.
They took the attacker deep inside the forest to the camp and when they got there, Luna used vines to tie the man tight to a tree.
He looked at both of them, his face covered in fear.
"I’ll make this clear once and once only," Ken started, his gaze turned deathly cold, "tell me everything that led to this attack and also your cult, tell me every single thing," he looked him right in the eye.
The attacker looked at Ken and fear filled him, but even then, a voice in his mind told him that he would be able to get out of this without talking and that if he spoke he would be in more trouble with his organization. After all, he was nothing more than a floor member, they would get rid of him.
Ken saw that hesitation and wasted no time. He grabbed the horn of one of the deer that he had killed and thrust it fast into the shoulder of the man.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh" the attacker screamed, the pain instantly covered his entire body. The pain slowly started reducing to a level that he could manage, only for Ken to pull it out and immediately stab it into the other shoulder.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh" the scream was louder, his eyes rolled back for a moment.
Ken kept a straight face as he did this like he was not impaling a human repeatedly. The attacker at this point looked at Ken like a monster. He looked over to Luna, in hopes that maybe she was feeling slightly bad and would step in to stop the brutal act, but for some reason she was looking at Ken with the kind of eyes you had when you were watching something pretty sexy. She looked hungry for the dude that was stabbing him.
"They’re crazy, they are both crazy, they’re gonna kill me for real," the realization hit even heavier and his fear grew deeper.
"I’ll talk, I’ll talk, please, don’t go further," the man screamed, then he looked down and saw that Ken was about to stab him right in the crotch before he had asked him to stop.
Ken was about to end his manhood without a single emotion.
"Monster, monster, this kid is a monster."
"That’s better, I was getting tired of wasting time with you, the fourth stab wound would have killed you for sure," Ken said and tossed the horn away.
The attacker drew a deep breath, and through the pain, he spoke.
"We got the information about the town from a man that lived here. He was captured in battle along with many other men, a lot of them probably came from here.
All of them refused to speak and give out their families, they chose to die before doing something like that, but there was one amongst them that gave the information.
He said his home town was Raven Town, and it’s at the very edge of the Kingdom of Vermilion. If he managed to take this town and turn it into our settlement, then more troops can sneak in and completely use here to enter the kingdom fully, and then we would win.
This would allow us to create a path for the armies of demonic humans and demons to enter."
Ken listened to every word and then frowned. They captured the men from the town, and one spoke, which means the rest were killed. It was possible that his father was among the people that were killed.
"I have a feeling I should not tell my mother about the full details. She would break for sure. She seems like she cares for her family way too much."
Ken turned around and looked at Luna. "What he said, how dangerous is it?" he asked.
"Very. If an army of demonic humans or any demons comes this way, this town may not remain after they reach," Luna said.
"I see."
Ken looked at the attacker. "Were you meant to send information back to them?"
"No, they believed we could surely handle it, so we were about a week ahead. The full army that they need are coming in a week’s time or less if they speed up.
That’s all I know, I’m only a floor member," the attacker said.
Ken looked at him. "I will not kill you, I still need information from you, especially about how the magical formations that you all use work.
If you can give me proper information, I promise to let you go," Ken said and the attacker eagerly agreed.
Ken walked away from him, while Luna followed behind.
"They are coming to the town and they’ll kill everyone. I have a week to train and prepare for what is to come."
"I didn’t plan on defending a town in this life, but I live here so I’ll be damned if someone comes and destroys it. That means I was here and that happened, never."
