Before Roxanne could allow the soldier to check into her car, the soldier had already carried out the inspection. Geoffrey, who realized this, immediately shook Roxanne’s shoulder vigorously.

"How is this?! They could have found Theodore’s brother in the back," Geoffrey said while whispering in Roxanne’s ear.

Geoffrey glanced at the passenger seat at the back and his eyes rounded in surprise when he didn’t see Theodore’s figure at the back.

"Oh my! Where did brother Theo go?" Geoffrey looked back at Roxanne while pointing at the back seat.

Roxanne, who heard that, hurriedly looked back and it was true that she did not find Theodore there at all. Then, the two of them were surprised again by the voice of the soldiers who seemed to have returned.

"Everything is safe, we will open the gate for you soon. Don’t forget to close the window again, there are still zombies outside the gate." After saying that, the soldier stepped away to inform his friend to open the gate for Roxanne.

Even though Roxanne was frozen in place, she moved her hand to close the window of their car and tried to focus on the steering wheel because they had to walk out of the base.

The metal gate began to creak open, and Roxanne stepped on the accelerator to drive the car through the gate and get out of the base.

Fortunately there were no more inspections as they passed through the gate and started walking away from it to avoid the few zombies that were in front of the gate.

"We’re finally getting out of the base," Theodore breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that they were far enough away from the gate.

Roxanne, who was shocked, immediately hit the brakes hard, making the others move forward and almost making Geoffrey hit the dashboard of the car.

"Theodore! How did you show up again?!" With bulging eyes, Roxanne turned around to stare at Theodore with a look of horror.

Geoffrey, who was mumbling because of what Roxanne did to him, still followed his sister’s steps by turning back to look at Theodore.

"I’ve been here all along," Theodore replied with a chuckle.

"But how could you? I didn’t see you there earlier!" It was Geoffrey who now spoke up with a face full of confusion.

"As I said before, I will suddenly disappear for the purpose of outwitting those soldiers. The important thing is that we are now outside the base." Calmly, Theodore slowly diverted their conversation.

A sigh could be heard from Roxanne, "It’s true, at least they haven’t tightened the security for going outside the base. I’m sure they will ban people from going outside the base once they know they lost you," Roxanne explained later.

As they were talking, the zombies that were nearby started moving towards their car, and the car hit their window.

"Let me drive now." Theodore immediately thought of replacing Roxanne this time.

"Alright, I don’t know our route this time either," Roxanne quickly agreed and moved to switch positions with Theodore.

Before getting back into the car, Theodore took his tablet from inside the sacred dimension and tossed it to Geoffrey.

"I don’t know, I seem to have something like that." Theodore didn’t pay much attention to Geoffrey as he had to get their car to move away from the zombies that were starting to pile up.

"You want to make something with that laptop?" Roxanne immediately tapped Geoffrey lightly on the shoulder to ask him.

"Yes. I was quite worried when I saw that there were a lot of zombies this time, I want to make something so that we can avoid these zombies during the trip to K City," Geoffrey explained as he nodded his head and explained his intentions.

"That’s a good idea. One thing I want to tell you is that there are more zombies outside the base now than you’ve ever seen before," Theodore explained later.

"As long as we pass through those towns we will stop for supplies and I have special items for when we encounter an emergency," Theodore replied confidently.

Theodore still had a magic scroll that could protect their car if the worst happened.

"Then find a safe place for us to spend the night," Theodore immediately ordered Geoffrey to find a safe place for them to spend the night.
