Infinite Evolution: Dominating The Apocalypse With My God Tier Items
Chapter 122: Traitor of the Human Race: Rescue mission
A dark military SUV parked before a highly luxurious apartment a few miles downtown.
Alighting from it were Seth and his four friends. They were handed a key by the escorts before the SUV drove off, leaving them before the massive construct.
With all that had happened today, no one was really in the mood for chatting. Not even Brandon the chatterbox — his brows furrowed as he stared at a metallic silver watch on his wrist.
Looking across the remaining four, one would find the same glistening silver watch on their hands.
Seth unlocked the door, revealing the vast welcoming interior of the building. They stepped inside.
But at this moment, no one felt awe, no one felt excited, not even relief.
They could only keep replaying their last dialogue with the president about their mission in their heads as they searched for their rooms.
Not only were they to leave as soon as possible, they had been briefed on the circumstances of the assets they were going to rescue... yes, rescue.
Humans weren’t united yet, but even then some figures had already betrayed the human race before all this even began.
And they were the people who worshipped the other native races of Earth as gods.
Seth felt a vile repulsion in his heart at this thought. His fists balled tightly, a deep cold light flashing from the depths of his eyes as he recalled more of the information about these traitorous bastards.
These guys had already built their own faction and were currently in full submission to whatever race it was they served.
And now, in order to prove their loyalty, they had been on a raid-and-kill spree over the past few weeks, long before this world quest even began.
Shedding the blood of their fellow humans just to receive validation from their so-called gods.
Seth opened the door before him, stepping into his allocated room. His eyes located a bed, and he walked toward it, sitting on the edge, still lost in thought.
Now these fanatical bastards had just raided a small community in North Dakota... meaning they had reached the USA.
Their mission was simple: go there, slaughter the cult, and retrieve their captives — who conveniently among them were their prime targets in the first place.
Which seemed easy at first. After all, they were Awakeneds. How many humans could resist their might?
But therein lay the problem. Seth glanced at the silver watch over his left wrist, wearing a deep frown.
The president had handed this to them, and it was a meter of some sort.
It helped detect when the power they were mobilizing was too much for the current Earth to handle.
Seth tried to mobilize his essence and immediately...
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
The watch flashed red, blaring a warning alarm. His frown deepened. He tried his will.
And the reaction was even more violent. What was worse...
Seth clenched his fist, and just as he mustered strength, space warped around his fists...
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
His tensed muscles released, the force diffusing into the air. Seth was at a loss.
They were severely handicapped in the worst way possible. Was it truly wise to send them on such a vital mission?
He summoned his status screen, revealing his attributes...

’All this power and I can barely use just a fraction.’ Seth lamented.
A war was coming, one he would definitely be at the forefront of, and he couldn’t possibly lead in this state.
He summoned the oracle crystal.
The emerald crystal bled into reality, and Seth instantly threw a question to it...
"How can I speed up the upgrade of the world?"
The crystal flashed, processing a reply.
[Worlds are as mighty as they are fragile. Interfering with a world upgrade can cause severe consequences if not careful... does host really want to proceed?]
Seth pondered silently. He could put the entirety of Earth into jeopardy just because of his singular interest.
His mind churned, coming up with a better question.
"Can someone of a stronger rank utilize their full strength in a weaker world?"
The emerald crystal didn’t even need to process a reply, directly answering...
[Yes, Host!]
Seth sighed in relief. "Tell me how?"
[In order to display might, one needs a world as grounding, which is one of the reasons lifeforms can still explore the vacuum of space till the third stage of evolution.]
[But you could remedy this by finding a material with world properties that can bear your might, though for only a limited duration. That way you don’t have to place the burden of your existence on the weaker world.]
Seth’s expression was still tense. He found himself unable to feel relief just yet. He had to be sure this so-called material with world properties was within his means of reach.
"Where can I find one of these materials?" Seth asked, practically holding his breath from tension.
The oracle crystal flashed...
[Depending on one’s strength, the rarer the material. But seeing host is at the Awakened rank, you are relatively lucky. Materials needed to anchor the might of Awakened beings aren’t rare.]
Seth finally let out a breath of relief. The oracle crystal continued, and he listened.
[They could even be found on Shackled realm worlds. There are several materials ranging in shape, form, and composition. But according to host’s circumstances, Rift Tide Alloy will serve the best.]
Brows raised, Seth asked, "Why this Rift Tide Alloy?"
[Because it’s the most commonly seen material with a fraction of worldly properties. It is a stabilizing agent used by artificers when crafting world-type or space-type items. But it can also be used in this way.]
[Though due to its malleability, it wouldn’t last much. With host’s current strength, five kilograms of this alloy will allow at best three minutes of full power output. And if your gene skills or weapons are mobilized, it will drop to fourteen seconds.]
Seth’s eyes flashed. So little time... ’But it is better than nothing.’
With this alloy, at least he and his crew would have a guaranteed measure of going full throttle, especiall
y when facing the other races.
"How do I find this alloy?"
[Simple, Host. Just give permission to perform a grand terrain scan...]
